1. It has massive ending lag and is very punishable.
2. Many high level players are very unpredictable.
3. It doesn't negate grabs, which is the basis of many comboes.
4. The damage isn't all that great, especially compared to using an attack to counter (especially with Marth's absurd range).
So yeah, in Brawl online mabye it will work a lot, but not in high-level Melee play (or high level Brawl play for that matter).
