i heard somewhere that running on manual on these type of cars, and missing a gear will blow the engine or something? is that true

They run a auto cause they can build an auto to hold more power reliable. A manual one screw up and your tranny, engine, or rear diff is gone.

It would be up to you. theres nothing like having a manual but that is if you want to keep rebuilding your rear end and tranny cause it cant take the power. But from what i have seen if your not abusive on your tranny you should be good with a manual built properly up to 1000 or so wrhp.

yah mine is about 17% underdriven, so according to the graph with my pulleys its about 7-8 psi also. I have the same problem, cant go anymore because of the gas
