Due to "Off the Record" having his Brother in the Game if Frank was the Hero of DR2, seems likely that it led to the Theme of Adam the Clown.

@immortalfrieza dead rising came out a few years before L4D but if you want to continue acting like you know what you're talking about ignore what I'm saying. If you think saving the survivors is annoying dont do it. I find it challenging and an interesting aspect that no other game includes.

@starbreezevillage Saving the survivors is annoying because, like most games with a secondary character being controlled by the AI, they are incredibly weak, constantly getting grabbed by zombies when you can easily just run past them, and thus there is no reason they can't also, and most of them have hardly any ability to fight whatsoever. Also, regardless of which came first, both games only have minimal differences between them, more so than just the fact that that they're both zombie games.

As for DR, take out the psychos and the rescuing people (which is incredibly annoying BTW especially if your trying to save all of them) and it would barely have any differences from L4D.

@Radzjah I know that; I saw Screwattack's top ten zombie games video. My point is, Dead Rising and Pokemon are actually quite interchangeable. In the Pokemon games, Fighting-types have an advantage over Dark-types. And I don't know about you, but I definitely see Frank West as a Fighting-type and zombies as a Dark-type.

Wild Zombie used Bite! . . . It's not very effective.

Frank West used Double Lariot! . . . It's super effective!
