  • Cockatoos LOVE being the very center of attention.

  • Aww!! They should be.. they're alot more interesting than most people I know

  • Yeah thats totally normal for those pink cocatoos they demand atention and when you dont give it to them, u get the bird in the video......

  • I'd like to see the owner put his finger near the bird's beak, just about now.

I know... I've been there, done that. Oww!

  • Once a Cockatoo starts, it keeps on going and going.

  • saw a cockatoo today he was entertaining me for ages singing "dance cocky dance" and then jumping after:)lol i want 1:)

  • Um....you should check what he has in his water!!! What madness it is either hyperactive or on speed lol. Beautiful ploomage though!

  • Parrots are just insane naturally... though Cockatoos are typically super loud compared to other birds.

Not to say my African Grey can't reach that decible level... *sigh*

  • oh I know Nelson my grey can really pierce my ears when he is not getting our attention....what we as parronts have to go through!!

  • mentalist

  • That would drive me insane! Horrible sound!

  • How cute was that lol very loved the dog toy sound the bird was making to lol

  • CRAZY BIRDY LOL!!

  • How did you get your Maglocin Cockatoo to talk, i've been trying to get mine to.

  • Just talk to him like you would a child, that's how he learned.

  • @jellybellyoneofakind Repetition of words and phrases that you want them to learn with a clear voice. Birds tend to do well with words that lack M, N, sounds since they are harder to imitate without lips. Things like "Good Bird" " I Love you", "Pretty Baby" etc are picked up easily. When you greet your parrot say "Hello (name of bird) What a good bird you are....Who's a good bird? (name of bird) is a good bird!) Emphatic or energetic tones help that's why so many learn to swear....

  • @jellybellyoneofakind Repetition, repetition, repetition, emphasis, repetition, emphasis, and more emphasis. Birds learn by repeating words/phrases daily and give meaning to it to help understanding. If you want them to say good bird, when they do something you like say "GOOD BIRD, >>>>name of bird>>>>, what a GOOD BIRD, Who's a GOOD BIRD? You are a GOOD BIRD!!!" Birds pick up words that they hear a lot or feel excitment with. That is why if you just say "good bird" with no meaning ..

  • @jellybellyoneofakind ...or emphasis then they most likely won't learn it. However when you stub your toe on that cage and shout out "&#@*" so quickly and with that much feeling, your feathered baby may just pick it up right then and there.

  • Listening too it,I bet it's a female.

  • does he breath sometimes :P?

  • hahaha so crazy. but crazy cute!

  • My birds are loud... but honestly, I don't even hear them anymore really.. just when I am trying to watch a movie!!

  • OO I hate that.

  • ohhh wow lol now I remember why I haven't got a cockatoo yet...i seem to have forgotten how LOUD they can be hehe...I fostered one and am semi def in my left ear because of it hahaha hes so cute...wish i had the time for another bird toos are soo awesome

  • lol. i thought its head as backwards for a seconds. thats a really good defense

  • kel- yes they should be I wold rather but they are not.

I think it looks healthy and in a playful mood. They love to randomly vocalize and are inherently joyful birds. So If you want to bitch about it does something about the pet smugglers and let the people that actually care about the animals to continue to take care of the birds that were born in captivity.

Visit a bird shelter and there you will see poor birds that have mental problems. This one is fine.

  • I'm gonna have nightmares tonight

  • haha squeaky toy

  • hes totaly crazy

  • REMEMBER... ROCKSTAR.

    REMEMBERRRR.

That is a very intense and energetic cockatoo.

  • I agree with you, however, with that said, these parrots that are hand raised in the states, cannot be release into the wild. A lot of parrot owners rescue them and we do the best we can to provide a safe and great home. It takes a lot of time, work and money to do it properly. I know Elvis should be flying free, but he can't because of how he was raised, so we do the best we can for him.

  • And from these videos myself and all of youtube are watching, you're doing an excellent job taking care of him. He's really a lovely bird, and very entertaining. I can imagine he brings a lot of joy to the family. :)

  • and noise lol imagine trying to sleep next to him

  • They sleep when everyone else sleeps. In general the bird will adapt to basically anything that the humans do

  • @OneCrazyHouse I completely agree with you onecrazy :D

  • It really just goes to show you that the Moluccan is the wildest, noisiest, and most hyperactive of all the Cockatoo breeds. I guarantee you, if you want to own a Cockatoo, the Moluccan will be the LAST breed you'll ever choose. Hardly anyone will care for a Moluccan parrot simply because they are TOO LOUD!

  • i agree, we had a parrot that we rescued as a baby, and we loved it for many years, but it started screaming like the crows outside all day and night, that we decided we couldn't take it anymore so we gave it up for adoption, which is hard to do because parrots remember every little event that happens to them, and they become unstable easily, i know this will generate some "how could you do that" comments, but i don't give a shit

  • "How could you do that?"

Just kidding. I know that you knew that your baby was under a lot of stress, as you were, and you knew it was in the bird's best interest to have someone else take him.

  • Actually.. I've seen a lot of birds who don't have wings clipped and won't fly off when brought outside. I suppose they actually do love their owners. (Some owners are bad.. but there are a lot who let their birds run free for a good part of the day. If taken care of properly, I don't see anything wrong with it)

  • @kel12445 i agree.

  • @kel12445 well what if a cockatoo was abandoned and someone went to go save it so how are they asshole periods

  • @123codfan LMAO, I am all for people saving birds, I think if you are going to keep these type of birds, you should provide the best possible environment, ie for simpleton people: a large enclosed avery which allows the bird to fly small distances,or if you have to keep them in the house have alternate entires on doorways such as magnetic screens that split down the middle so the bird can't get out when you leave so their wings can be unclipped. Cont...

  • @keleigh79 im a bird trapper

  • @123codfan ???? Is that all you got? LOSER!

  • @keleigh79 lol winner

  • @123codfan I just wanted to point out to people that this is not natural behaviour even for a domesticated pet. What is wrong with showing concern? I also did not call anyone an asshole period (LMAO) I meant people who cage animals for amusement are assholes, period, meaning full stop LOL. I was not meaning the owners of this bird are not doing the best they can by him, I am bird carer in Australia so I know what I'm talking about.

    Thanks for the giggle.

  • Fantastic to see him play like that! :-)

  • ah hes so cute. i have a sulfer crested lesser, hes just as crazy. :)

  • haha

  • what are u doing?! Rub the bird!

  • i love your cockatoo..i own two my self..umbrella and goffins

  • wo that bird is funny

  • watching this made my day

  • I love your cockatoo and I love watching all the crazy things S Elvis does. Your play areas for your cockatoo has given me more ideas for my own Mollucan. Please keep your videos coming, they are the best by far of how and what Mollucans are suppose to look like and act like. They are super!!

  • My bird Rudy, Umbrella "too" is just as crazy, but he doesn't have a large vocabulary. I also have a b&g Macaw and a yellow crowned amazon

  • wowo your bird prretty mad crazy in one house your screen name says it all dude

  • wow it looks mad lol

  • He's a wild one! He must be a baby. Ours is quite vocal but 10 years old and has calmed down a bunch. Now if we can just keep him from running out the back door and following you to the car. LOL!

  • LOL Who freakin taught him how to yell?

  • lol i love birds but i don't know how you can live with that cockatoo, he's so loud.

  • I've been wanting to get a bird like this for several years. I've put it off only because I've been saving up to go back to college. Would a bird like Elvis be a horrible idea during college?

  • Depends on your living situation, how much time you can spend with him, and you also have to think about the future. Because they can be loud at times, an apartment or condo is not a good idea. They also demand a lot of attention. They are very smart, and with that said, they need a lot of mental stimulation to keep them busy. Lastly, think about your future. They live a long time. Yes they are sweet, smart and cuddly, but high maintenance.

  • They're also very expensive. You can get one for a lower cost from a rescue (whch I recommend) but health care from a board certified avian vet can be very dear. We've been paying off our bird's vet bill for 2 months now and expect to do it for longer.

  • This breed of cockatoo is by far the hardest to keep happy in captivity. Just look at other videos of Mollucan cockatoos here on YouTube and you will see how many are plucked or self mutilators. S Elvis here is very luck that his owner understands his needs. Please do lots of reading and talk to other bird owners before you decide on any parrot. Good Luck!

  • @biggs7735 I you're in an apartment, or dorm...It would be a terrible idea. Cockatoos are extremely loud and have screaming fits and calls that can be heard for over a mile when they get going. It wouldn't be fair you your neighbors, or the bird. If you have a house of your own, go for it, but be aware of what it takes to care for these types of parrots. Go to mytoos.com to learn more on these animals. I'd suggest starting out with a conure or a caique if you're a first time owner.

  • oh my god.

that is one loud bird. mine wasn't as loud at all.

    But he's still cute ^^

  • Wow your bird isen't quite

  • COOkoo cockatoo!

  • Elvis is a handsome Mullocun cockatoo. He is having a blast! I have enjoyed watching this video several times. : )

  • omg! i love him lol! you are so lucky to have such a great bird :)

  • Man, that is one crazy bird! lol!

  • LOL hes like something evil from a horror movie. RAAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRAARARAHAHAHHAARAA

should get into making special effects soundclips for zombie films. no seriously! lol

  • I just love S. Elvis. He is so comical, and looks like just a fun family member.

    How old is he?

  • He is 3 and we never know what he's going to say next!
