  • EXACTLY! Even the great Glen Miller couldn't do it like Benny. And by the way, check out Jess Stacy's "on the spot" piano solo. One of the most faabulous pieces of piano ever put together.

    Now for corrections... first, look up the word "infamous" - you've got it all wrong.

    Second, Sing, Sing, Sing is a Louis Prima song from 1936, not 1920 and it was Benny and others who added stuff in 1937 which became.... "with a swing"

    Anyway, all that counts is that we both love this song. Peace.

  • Okay, here's the deal. This is NOT Glenn Miller and the song is NOT from 1920. This is the amazing 1939 Benny Goodman Orchestra from the live concert at Carnegie Hall.

  • @kruparocks this is what happens when people who don't listen to jazz try to do stuff like this. benny's solo at 1:15 is probably the most famous solo in big band history... glenn miller my ass!
