  • Man that first level from the game was a pain in the ass when you went through the fog

  • Dead Leader: None but the King of Gondor may command me!!

    Aragorn: O Rly?

  • @DrDrake93 More like "YA RLY" since he is the king of Gondor

  • It has been remade is my new catch phrase :D Later that day in minecraft... My friend: I THOUGHT YOUR PICK WAS BROKEN!? Me: It has been remade...

  • I've always loved Aragorn. All my buddies favored Legolas because ''He's so cool and can do all these stuffs that men can't do.'' Think about it, as a man, it must have been much harder to go through all this stuff compared to an elf. Elves are pussies!

  • When you think of it, from here on out the movie sucked. How the hell would the orcs kill "undead"?

  • Is it 'that line was broken' or 'blade?'

  • @That70BrawlBandicoot

By line he meant he line of the kinds of Gondor. Which also refers to Narsil.

  • U kno wat really bugs me bout this trillogy

    1) the aim was too destroy the ring in mount doom - so why not get a eagle to fly over ad drop it in.

    2) these ghost guys - there immortal they can only be hurt by the king of gondor can hurt them so why dont they just fight all the orcs and urukhai and destroy them all this ending the war.

Other then that the films are awesome :)

  • @mitchwok

First off, in the books, the eagles are busy fighting up in the northern regions. Gwahail managed to come to Gandalf's rescue because the assaults were becoming lax a bit, but then once it stepped up, the eagles had to return.

now the curse placed by Ilsildur would be immediately lifted once the Dead Army had fulfilled their purpose. Once the Dead men fulfilled it, they wanted to be laid to rest. Also, they had an alliance with Sauron, hence the curse.

  • @2013branth Thankyou i needed to kno the information but i still dnt understand the ghost army thing but thanks anway :)

  • @2013branth I'd say it's still a plot hole. Since destroying the ring ends the whole conflict, I'd think it would take priority. Then again, maybe Mordor has adequate defenses to repel them. There are the flying creatures used by the Nazgul.

  • @evilemperordude

Far more than adequate defences. Mordor could aford to lose three times the number lost at the Battle of Pelennor fields. But the reason why defending Minas Tirith took priority over rejoing the fellowship is frodo is too far away and that destroying the ring will not affect the witch-king and his army in osgiliath.

  • 1. The eagles were for the most part busy elsewhere...there was an entire front of the war more north of Mordor that was threatening to destroy Middle earth as well and they were aiding the dwarves and men fighting there...

    2. The ghosts are bound to that place by the curse placed on them by Isildur, they can only be freed from their curse by the King of Gondor which happens to be Aragorn, though in the book it is explained that a lot of ominous legends surrounded that place...

  • I love this scene!

  • I see what you're saying. Honestly Peter Jackson really liked to get lots of semantic bullshit in all of the movies but ROTK was the worst in that regard. He really just got more and more arrogant as the movies went along.

  • I hated the invincible green army of the dead, without doubt the most disappointing thing in the LOTR trilogy. Everything else is so epic and such a struggle, then they just come along and save the day, wiping out the forces of Mordor in a gigantic green blob within minutes, such a cheap way to end such a spectacular battle. It doesnt happen like that in the books, so I have no idea why Peter Jackson chose to do it that way. It makes the whole battle a tad pointless lol

  • @robelwell88 Didn't JRR Tolkien have this whole idea? It seems like the fault is really his for having this build in Deus Ex Machina from the start.

  • @CaptHawkeye No I'm pretty sure that all the army of the dead do in the books is kill the corsair ships they dont come along and wipe out most of mordors army within a few minutes lol I think in the books Aragorn arrives with a force of Gondor reinforcements and Dunedain rangers who help win the battle.

  • A thumb's up... What say you!?

  • They should clean up Moria before releasing them...

  • @iLaEs69 Thats not moria..

  • @AssassinsDuty no. but Gimli says that they are useful...and they could clean up Moria before ...

  • @iLaEs69 Ohhhh alright :P my bad

  • Is that you, barbossa?

  • er.... how would Sauron kill the undead? ,,,the average mortal... would be easy, but undead is a whole other thing... seemed like you needed a special type of metal... or a special type of magically blade to kill undead...

and I don't think Sauron had that or any of his forces had it ...they were absolutely no match for the undead at all. ....Sauron's ring might of been enough if he had it to kill several. but being attacked by millions of undead?

he would of been overrun eventually.

  • 1:00 love that crunchy sound

  • My favorite quote of this scene got the axe! What the heck

King of the Dead: The Dead do not suffer the living to pass.

    Aragorn: You *will* suffer me.

  • @pjfresh83

He was speaking to the audience.

  • Dickson. lol

  • why wouldnt he just command the dead army to wipe out all of mordor... fucking dumbass...

  • @LATODAMAX i know! so stupid

  • @LATODAMAX That would be abusing their oath; they were to defend Gondor for this one battle.

  • Yay lotr par t3 will soon be on TV :) just saw p2

  • I know how bout we screw the battle and head for morder? no? to easy? well alot less people would get killed.

  • sigh....gotta love it1

  • 1:56 WHAT SAY YOU

  • Comment removed

  • If ONLYy Aragorn could Have them fight against the Taliban. :)

  • 0:39 FAILFAILFAILFAIL

  • Gimli's got balls of steel saying 'you waste your time Aragon, they had no honour in life, they have none now in death' when surrounded by an army of undead!

  • dammit legolas

  • Reminds me of Ghostbusters

  • "That blajd was broken" :P

  • More precisely, the Ghosts were originally a tribe living in the White Mountains, and in the ancient times they swore to a Gondorian king to help to protect Gondor against Sauron. But when the war came, they broke their bromise and never show up. Thus the king cursed them and when they died, they become ghosts uncabable of passing to afterlife. To be freed from their miserable unlife they needed to fullfill their oath, i.e. to protect Gondor from an enemy attack. Attacking Mordor wasn't included

  • @aFIRMmaybe: Aragorn promised them redemption after the battle of Minas Tirith, using them further in the War of the Ring would be very unlike a future-king that serves his people.

YOU try to go back on your word against a wratful army of restless undead, then you'll be in for it like those corsairs in the extended edition.

  • @Kardimon responding to 2 months old post but I think he meant why didnt he make deal like "kill the orcs on minas tirith and on mordor and I will release you"

  • @Kardimon True, but then again, he could of just said " Fight for us until we win the war." Surely that would of been so much easier?

  • why doesn't aragorn have the army of he dead kill all of the other orcs???? not just at minas tirith?

  • The Army of the Dead is Best !

  • inb4 personal army

  • how was this possible when aragorn never took true possession of the blade Andúril

so the blade wouldn't of yeilded to him and therefor wouldn't of stopped the ghost blade

i was taugt that if a sword had a name that meant it had a soul

the first blood the sword had to taste was that of its master

  • @khardgar

What you were taught has nothing to do with the mythology of Tolkien. :)

  • is this the 2nd or 3rd movie?

  • @lissaria18 This is the 3rd movie, The Return of the King.

  • u know u the man when u man handle a ghost!!!!

  • Aragorn's slow motion stance is so epic its enough to turn even the todd from scrubs

  • they all three got wet pants im sure

  • I want to have that Sword...imagine your own Army of the Dead ! Freakin' awesome ! ! !

  • 0: 54! I am Mulan!

  • I never knew Aragorn was a Death Knight :o

  • my favourite scene in Return of the king!

  • 9999 views lol!

  • 0:40 - what a fail

  • @Kitralaysia1

An EPIC fail, of an epic tale!

So any doofus could summon them, if they had that sword?

Not Aragorn himself, to whose will even SHADES of men were obedient?

You can't have an anti-hero RETURNED KING!

  • @SovereignStatesman Actually its not the sword its self only if it is wielded by a king of gondor, and aragorn is the heir to the throne :)

  • @kylesykesy000

This doofus was on the throne for the whole movie... and used the book for shit-tickets.

  • @Kitralaysia1 After that Legolas take an arrow to the knee.

  • @Kitralaysia1 Not in the real movie

  • "The way is shut." - Every time I hear that sentence it sends an involuntary shiver down my spine. These guys completely overthrow the skeletons in the first Pirates of the Caribbean movie!

  • These men are shadows of their former selves.......

  • i think Aragorn dismiss the ghost army a little too early. After the battle with the big elephants and shit, he shoul've taken the ghost army to middle earth and kill every single ogre, troll and monster and no one else had to die. Why didn't he...?

  • @summerdying111 cause he made a promise I guess.

  • Becuase he gave his word, and being a man of honor, morals couldn't go back on his word and break it. Plus being Gondors soon-to-be King, he needs to be an example to his people.

  • @summerdying111

The army of the dead was only obligated to "come to the DEFENSE of Gondor". And that was the extent of their power.

But even Peter Jackson said he hated the army of the dead, he felt like it was a cheap cut out to end the battle quickly for length reasons. In the book they were completely different. I dont even think they went to Minus Terith at all, they just killed the Crossairs and their oath was done.

  • @BroyhillVideo Learn how to spell "Minas Tirith" and "Corsairs", please!

  • in what part of the movie they fight?

  • Great vid!

    I ♥ it,..very powerful moment!!!!

    :)

  • What should have happened.

    aragorn: what say you?!

ghosts: erm, ok we aint gonna work for u cuz speak proper english dude..

  • epic
