Are the Genesis speakers all the large Genesis size or do some come in the size of the Genesis horn strobe? I noticed my middle school I attended was retrofitted with the Genesis speaker strobes. Some of the EST Genesis' are the small Genesis and some I believe are horn strobes and some may be chimes but Im not sure since I never heard the alarms sound there with the current system.

I suspect my middle schools fire alarms sound exactly the same as this one. I know they have EST Genesis speaker strobes and horn strobes in red. But that system was installed sometime in recent years as either due to stricter fire code regulations or the original system saw its final days. I suspect it was fire code regulations as many older schools in that system replaced the fire alarm systems even my first elementary which opened in 1977 and had lights to the original fire alarms.

I sometimes wonder if this is the same alarms my middle school I attended now days has. I know they have the Genesis Speaker strobes throughout the building. I did see one Genesis that did not look like a speaker so I suspect it may be a horn strobe. And the system was installed sometime after I finished middle school as the school had single stroke bells with coded pull stations during my 3 years of middle school.

I have a question for soccerdude7330. Do you need a control panel just to operate a fire alarm? All I have is a pull and the alarm and i just want to put it on the wall and just test various kinds of alarms. Do I need a panel just to pull, and reset an alarm?

@awezomedude44 From other videos Ive seen the panel isnt 100% necessary. I have seen videos where they pull the pull station to sound the alarm and just reset the pull station and it stops the alarms. Not all fire alarm enthusiust have the option of installing the systems in the house. Some lay the indicator and the pulls down on a counter of some type and test them from there.

If you order them directly from the Edwards/GE Security website, they tend to overprice their products a little bit. There are a lot of websites that sell fire products to people even if they are not a professional installing a system. I know two or three, but I unfortunately cannot find one that has a Genesis speaker like this one. Try contacting ADI, they might have it.
