i can't do sweeps which sucks because in almost all a7x solos there are sweeps

@deadrising1134 Try practicing sweeps by hitting the first four frets and strings each with a different finger, then flip it upside down so your index finger is on the 1st fret still, but now on the 3rd string, 2nd finger on the 4th etc.and just repeat slowly.

@senseLessGuitar i fthis is the 1st solo with sweep picking, i would suggest to leave this solo for a while, and learn it when u have sweep picking down, cause learning this while still learning to sweep pick is kinda complicated, and i think you should learn all parts slowly, then increase the speed till original

@senseLessGuitar well as for now, ive been playing for 4 years,"started in 2007" so idk the vid was made in 2009 lol, what matters is not the time you've been playing but how hard you try to play this. if you REALLY want to learn to play this solo, you can learn it, i took a while doin it, but i focused on this. i tried to play it everyday, so don't feel bad, just try harder, and time doesn't mean quality, remember time doesn't mean "good"

@JackBower09 have you tried using a metronome? just try starting at a low speed then when you get the hang of that speed, speed it up bit by bit til youve nailed the proper speed, hope that helps

Dude u need to practice ur sweeping and play it slowly mote until you get it...plus there were some wrong notes, watch syn recording it in the studio and you'll see, but overall good :) keep at it

Feels like the first part of the solo is based on the A minor scale or penatonic. Probally one of the fastest solo's ever that don't include tapping. And at :32 it isn't how he plays it on LBC he plays it on one string with alot of h/p and sliding but as you said that may be the part thats not right or it is and he plays it an easier way for him now. During a live performance, the chances of him hitting every note arn't very good.

The album version, its played over and over to get it perfect for the album. During a live performance, hes going to be playing fast and is most likely miss some notes, or playing something differently.

Yeah I really liked it too and when I was saving for a guitar it came down to a Les Paul Studio or the Synyster Custom. Of course you could just get the standard and put Invaders in it. Not exactly the same but still close.

@Ultraxsiempre It doesn't matter. It can be done multiple ways. Synyster Gates picks 16 and then pulls the string in the Afterlife video, but live he does a dive bomb or he just bends the string so it can be done different ways, there's no "right" way to do it unless you want the studio vers(what you hear on the cd).
