It says a lot for a band when they can play such a breadth of styles and still attract a following. Despite each song being markedly different to every other song, I think they do retain the 'Muse' signature which gets lost with the so many other bands as they produce more albums. The thing I like about Muse is their creativity, they totally go for it in every song. I like what I have heard so far, nods to each of their previous albums with something extra added on top....glorious!

wow.i'm pretty disappointed but there were still some good songs, only muse doesn't seem so original in this album. There are definetly signs of the band's aging, the sound is getting more tired and less creative, but i really loved the symphony from what i heard here and also unnatural selection for example.

I've said loads of good things about this album so far but (I hate to say it) the more I listen to it, the less I like it, especially after a full day of listening to it today. It's not the Muse I loved. It's like they've not only experimented (as they do) but they have completely changed genre! I'm seeing them in November & I'm really excited. I'm sure they'll still play loads of their older stuff.

this doesn't do the album justice. ive heard it all and its amazing. the songs sound nothing like they do on his preview as they are all complicated and change tempo and instruments throughout. Resistance, MK ULtra and unnatural Selection are amazing. Anyone who is put off the new album shouldn't be as its really good now that ive heard it. And im going to their concert on the 12 November. can't wait

This album is one of the best, weirdest experiences ever! It's so depressing at times but so crazy and over the top that it's fun too. Wow, ExoGenesis part 3 is stunning. Genius genius genius. I got into music composition years ago and I know Muse's classical piano stuff is a bit unoriginal sometimes but it's better than the other rock bands' progressive music. Except maybe Genesis. New fans (anything up to the last 3 years or - maybe earlier) won't, in my opinion, understand the 'old' Muse when they're basing their tastes on the newest stuff. 'T-Light' is a prime example of cause. The old stuff was raw, passionate and downright weird; literally "music to your ears".

I've been a huge fan of Muse since 2001 (around the release of OoS) and while I still love them with a passion, I do fear that they will become TOO elaborate.

Muse theyre still improving. Reviews says theyre predictable but in my opinion they just really improved their style of music. Every great musician, they have their own distinct stlye that anyone can tell Jimi, zeppelin, rage, the blues so you can say they have been predictable. In my opinion their form has gotten really great and theyre more melodic with their instruments and great progressions.
