I have a question about salvia. Im gonna try it out. I now understand that you see things and the world is not real. But im wondering about my head. How do you feel?
@Fjellmannen2008 depends on how much you smoke and what times extract you do if its a lower extract you will feel calmer and more sedated and relaxed but if you try a higher times extract you will feel up and more into the world that "isnt real"
I'm an old codger. I experimented with LSD back in college days (mid 1970's). It was not all for fun and games. We were really serious about experiencing consciousness in a different way. People may think demons are red, scaley goblins with pitchforks, but in reality there are beings who can manifest themselves in whatever manner they want, they are not bound by matter.
This is why mind-altering substances are not a good idea. Salvia divinorum (as with other hallucinogens) "dismantles" your mind's ability to distinguish reality. If you could ask men like Sigmund Freud or Carl Jung (of course they're both dead) about drugs, they would give accolades due to their "mind expanding properties". Problem is, Freud turned crazy, and Jung went new-age mystic, seeing beings who gave him "enlightened" knowledge for his red book writings.
The minute someone I know started to realize that they were just waves being carried by little video game/lego men inside an arcade machine at a carnival was when they started flipping shit. It is a very interesting plant, and can be horrifying.
I ended up flipping shit since I had no sitter (so stupid) and it kinda fucked with my perception for ~2yrs after the experience. Terrifying stuff. It was definitely the worst drug experience I've ever had and I found the trip to be far less comfortable than even large amounts of shrooms or acid. Basically, it's the worst. Most people I know who tried it either think it's absolutely horrific or, at best, just kind of shitty. Stick to other stuff, kiddos!

It's best to just relax, keep your eyes closed, and NEVER fight your "trip" for lack of a better term. No matter how weird things get, just go with it and stay relaxed. The only reason anybody has a "bad trip" is because they get scared and try to fight it.
Wow. Her friend and boyfriend actually put the camera down to make sure she's alright, so they didn't get the footage. That there is awesome in it's own. Turning it off completely would have been nicer, but maybe she told them to record it regardless, I don't know the circumstances. Either way, it was a nice video, and I've seen the weird, triply sides of salvia. This was well appreciated. :-)
@delightracardeanne I had previously only tried the less potent versions and this was my first REAL trip. This whole series of vids was actually an assignment back when I first started college. I had taken a couple practice runs before but this was going to be my BIG video for the class...and it changed my whole approach to the project. A self awareness reminder but horrifying beyond words. I experienced the depersonalisation trip.. felt so lucky to be back. However, I got schizophrenic for about a week, thinking I ended on a different reality, thats how bad it can be. Now I only use alcohol to mess with my mind and have a great respect for Salvia.

Some people love it and other don't. Why? I'm 38...in my younger days it was pot, hash, and some alcohol. Later, I did do cocaine often but never got addicted to it. Now at my age I do smoke pot occasionally and have a very occasional drink. I cannot believe some of the shit people are into nowadays...ecstasy, meth, Bromo Dragonfly, Special K etc etc...It's beyond me why some good looking young women want to fuck themselves up and also be around a guy who so called 'loves them'.
I had the same experience! I had a realization that everything I thought & knew about the world was all a lie. & I realized that it was all a never ending process. I didnt hear a voice or anything but whatever IT is, was laughing at me. My reaction to knowing that world was all fake made IT laugh. IT thought it was funny. & everywhere I looked started to disappear, but then my friend asked if I was okay, and it made everything stop. It made me appreciate life & im grateful for everything
If you have an aversion to fear, sooner or later you will be done with the psychedelic experience. Hopefully having gained an increased appreciation for nature better connection with the people around you and greater love for living. For the ones that are willing to look the psychedelic fear into the eye, it remains a constant refference point to help judge all information. To me Fear is probably the most interesting emotional state out there and psychedelic substances can REALLY show it to you.
@Frutti87 agree 100%. I 'd probably never continue psychedelics if they lacked that aspect of fear. It's like a certain recipe that you came to enjoy with one particular spice, and it doesn't taste right without that spice.
Beginners associate that fear with dying. Later, it's losing a particular belief one's emotions are hinged on.

I was watching this video while smoking the hardest shit I've ever tried. At 6:16 when the girl starts talking is when it hit me, and I had my head down and eyes closed. I completely forgot who I was or where I was. I only heard the screaming, and that girl's voice trying to calm me down. I ended up screaming in my apartment because I thought I myself was a hallucination and my life that I'd grown to know was coming to an end once the high was over. It's some hardcore shit.
Probably a bad idea listening to lady gaga whilst trippin :P If you try it whilst listening to really zen/ambienty music you'll likely have a nicer trip.
The horror is because there is total identification with whatever is happening. If you think you are your thoughts and thoughts are reality and those thoughts (= "me", "the world" , "everything") starts folding, changing form whatever... it feels like you and the world are doing that. So that's horror.
This is the same as identifying during daily life with events and thoughts. When something "horrible" happens, then "you" feel horrible. But you are not your thoughts. This is ZEN, Advaita

@demblackfeet it is crazy but your mind doesnt tell you youre on a drug, it is far too intense to even consider being calm and considerate, especially if you have enough to hallucinate to the point you try and comprehend nothingness, and you cant tell what is real at all. Salvia is sooooooooo powerful, weed is NOTHING, literally NOTHING compared to a good dose of salvia :/
@demblackfeet yeah i did it two days ago, wasnt quite sure what to expect, but it was really really powerful :P its different to weed, but if you only have a tiny bit it can make you laugh loads like weed does sometimes, but if you have enough to have a 'breakthrough' it becomes more like LSD in that you hallucinate, except salvia lasts only like 15 mins instead of like 1o hours of LSD. If youre gonna try it make sure youve got a sitter, and make sure you are completely relaxed :)
@demblackfeet i tried 40x, probs would recommend slightly weaker stuff like 20x, but its not just the strength its the amount you smoke, like a small pinch of 40x had quite effect on me, its not like weed where you do a decent size hit, like 0.5 gram at a time, with salvia i had like 0.1 gram of 40x and i was FUCKED xP i kinda had the same kinda experiance as the girl in the vid but didnt go quite so badly :/
@demblackfeet yeah i am gonna do it again, i think whether or not you have a good experiance depends mainly on how nervous/scared you are about it when you do it tbh. well i havent tried 5x, but as the number means how much stonger (by weight) it is than the dried leaves, i would say 8 times what i did - as 5x is 8 times weaker than 40x, so about 0.8 grams would probs give you the same effect, but i havent tried it so obviously dont know for sure :P yh it effects people differently :/

I tried Salvia once also.. Never again, it was terrifying >< did the 200x.. Everything started moving around, I kept hearing very weird sounds then when it went away was extremely hot. Just sweaty and very uncomfortable and I was in air conditioning.. I wouldn't trust doing it again.

I know this isn't a party but it seems like too many people take this drug to think that it will be funny and fun. If you want to use hallucinogens you need to use for the right reasons. Some people love it and other don't. Why? I guess for some the here and now is all they can imagine but when shown that there is other dimensions other than this one which have different rules and it won't stop that is scary for some. People are afraid of the unknown because it makes them feel very vulnerable

I'm 38...in my younger days it was pot, hash, and some alcohol. Later, I did do cocaine often but never got addicted to it. Now at my age I do smoke pot occasionally and have a very occasional drink. I cannot believe some of the shit people are into nowadays...ecstasy, meth, Bromo Dragonfly, Special K etc etc...It's beyond me why some good looking young women want to fuck themselves up and also be around a guy who so called 'loves them'.

I had the same experience! I had a realization that everything I thought & knew about the world was all a lie. & I realized that it was all a never ending process. I didnt hear a voice or anything but whatever IT is, was laughing at me. My reaction to knowing that world was all fake made IT laugh. IT thought it was funny. & everywhere I looked started to disappear, but then my friend asked if I was okay, and it made everything stop. It made me appreciate life & im grateful for everything

If you have an aversion to fear, sooner or later you will be done with the psychedelic experience. Hopefully having gained an increased appreciation for nature better connection with the people around you and greater love for living. For the ones that are willing to look the psychedelic fear into the eye, it remains a constant refference point to help judge all information. To me Fear is probably the most interesting emotional state out there and psychedelic substances can REALLY show it to you.

@Frutti87 agree 100%. I 'd probably never continue psychedelics if they lacked that aspect of fear. It's like a certain recipe that you came to enjoy with one particular spice, and it doesn't taste right without that spice.
Beginners associate that fear with dying. Later, it's losing a particular belief one's emotions are hinged on.
400 drops of liquid LSD later (similar) one learns to be comfortable with uncertainty of reality, fear no longer overwhelming, it's exhilarating! :-)

I went to like another universe called "The Womp Womps" where the old man on the label of my dads weatless flower talked to me... Then i saw a bunch of lockers with the room i was in inside of them and they repeated past me really fast, then the old man told me if i didn't pick the correct room i wold die, my friend then grabbed my hand & pulled me through one of the lockers & out of my trip... This shit is NOT to be fucked with AT ALL

I was watching this video while smoking the hardest shit I've ever tried. At 6:16 when the girl starts talking is when it hit me, and I had my head down and eyes closed. I completely forgot who I was or where I was. I only heard the screaming, and that girl's voice trying to calm me down. I ended up screaming in my apartment because I thought I myself was a hallucination and my life that I'd grown to know was coming to an end once the high was over. It's some hardcore shit.

The horror is because there is total identification with whatever is happening. If you think you are your thoughts and thoughts are reality and those thoughts (= "me", "the world" , "everything") starts folding, changing form whatever... it feels like you and the world are doing that. So that's horror.

... once i recovered from that, i did about double the quantity and all i can remember is doing the hit outside (i was at a mates house), putting the bong down on the table, stumbling inside to an armchair, sitting down, then i just blacked out. The only part of the trip i can vividly remember is an image of utter nothingness and complete silence - i understand what you said about not being able to comprehend it. overall though i know i had quite a nasty trip, not as bad as yours though :/

@demblackfeet it is crazy but your mind doesnt tell you youre on a drug, it is far too intense to even consider being calm and considerate, especially if you have enough to hallucinate to the point you try and comprehend nothingness, and you cant tell what is real at all. Salvia is sooooooooo powerful, weed is NOTHING, literally NOTHING compared to a good dose of salvia :/

@demblackfeet yeah i did it two days ago, wasnt quite sure what to expect, but it was really really powerful :P its different to weed, but if you only have a tiny bit it can make you laugh loads like weed does sometimes, but if you have enough to have a 'breakthrough' it becomes more like LSD in that you hallucinate, except salvia lasts only like 15 mins instead of like 1o hours of LSD. If youre gonna try it make sure youve got a sitter, and make sure you are completely relaxed :)

@demblackfeet i tried 40x, probs would recommend slightly weaker stuff like 20x, but its not just the strength its the amount you smoke, like a small pinch of 40x had quite effect on me, its not like weed where you do a decent size hit, like 0.5 gram at a time, with salvia i had like 0.1 gram of 40x and i was FUCKED xP i kinda had the same kinda experiance as the girl in the vid but didnt go quite so badly :/

@demblackfeet yeah i am gonna do it again, i think whether or not you have a good experiance depends mainly on how nervous/scared you are about it when you do it tbh. well i havent tried 5x, but as the number means how much stonger (by weight) it is than the dried leaves, i would say 8 times what i did - as 5x is 8 times weaker than 40x, so about 0.8 grams would probs give you the same effect, but i havent tried it so obviously dont know for sure :P yh it effects people differently :/

I tried Salvia once also.. Never again, it was terrifying >< did the 200x.. Everything started moving around, I kept hearing very weird sounds then when it went away was extremely hot. Just sweaty and very uncomfortable and I was in air conditioning.. I wouldn't trust doing it again.
