  • I LOVE the Lion King and this soundtrack, but I have to say, Tarzan soundtrack was the best!

  • 4:22 tears and chills

  • This is the first movie i will show to my kids when i have them. I SWEAR.

  • Very sad music.

  • Asante sana, Squash banana, wi wi nugu mi mi apana!

  • This theme changed my life...and I was 2 when I heard it. That's why I just can't imagine my life without Lion King, and others Disney by the way. I'm 19 and, dammit, I'm full of nostalgia every time I hear this...I almost cry and I'm not ashamed of admit it, because I know we are probably millions in this case, growing up in the 90's...

I miss old days and my childhood too...

  • @LesAnarchitectures I turn 19 in a few days and as a present I asked for the Lion King soundtrack...lets hope I get it so I can revisit the good ole days...don't be ashamed of the tears man, I cry every time Mufassa dies. Every time.

  • @69guitarchick Actually I'm 20 now (since march 6th) but I wrote 19 by habit... xD

  • i'm 19 and a 90's kid and this song makes me tear up everytime I hear it...just like all the other Lion King instrumentals...

  • I grew up in the 90's. The 90's were so great! I miss the old days.

  • My memory of this movie is quite vague, but the ending of the movie is permanently burned into my memory thanks to this wonderful song!

Why are producers nowadays afraid to let their movies go out with impact?

  • This has got to be one of the most beautiful pieces of music ever written.

  • Most epic part at 4:22

  • My. Children. Will. Be. So. Deprived. God bless the Disney classics and the 90s. I am so fortunate to experience that era..

  • @TrueHeroUnderGod89 Ah, the 90's. When things were still timeless. Though I'm sure the next generation is going to say the same things along these lines. I was born in 1990 and I think the 90's were the best.

PS - This track always made me cry. Still even today. Damn I must be a softy...

  • @RevanRA Oh I'm right there with ya! It just touches you, makes you want to go to Disney World and enjoy the magic at night!

  • @TrueHeroUnderGod89 I've been to Disney World's Magic Kingdom multiple times. Awesome place. Shame I can't afford to go there this year, but I definitely know where you're coming from! Music like this touches my heart and brings out my inner child. Some people do this whole Darth Vader thing and sacrifice who they were. It's kind of sad. We need to keep the whole memory alive.

  • "Yao. KING OF THE ROCK. and there's nothing you girls can do about it." Simba begs to differ

  • @wiiS360 bahahhahahah

  • Damm FBI

  • No words...just....tears ;A;

  • fucking epic.

  • Lion King was on last night, my dad and I were watching the Simba and Scar fighting scene :3

Dad: "Let's act it out, I know you want to"

Me: "Oh please, I'm not 7 anymore"

Dad: "C'mon, you can be Scar, I'll be Simba!"

Me: "No way! If were acting this out, I'm Simba and you're Scar!"

Dad:"You were Simba all the time when you were a kid!"

Me: *Gets up about to walk away*

Dad: " Fine! But next time, I get to be Simba"

Me: *Shoves coffee table out of the way* "Bring it, old man!"

  • @tomatoeyum wtf...

  • @tomatoeyum Your dad rocks, dude ;)

  • @tomatoeyum Pfft! sounds like something my sister and would still do. I'm going on 19 in a few weeks.

  • @tomatoeyum Your father is a legend...

  • I haven't seen the Lion king in like 10 years. And when I lisen to this song I was like, "This isn't from the Lion king!?" Then at 4:20 I was like "OK, my bad..."

Now I want to see the movie again...

  • @Lozfoai BEST MUSIC PART!

  • This song also makes me think about Tod and Copper from ''The Fox and the Hound'' I love the soundtrack

  • Oh good, i can't see the dislike bar :) <3

  • @Meggners but its still there :(.. some people make me sick

  • This just might be the most beautiful and powerful thing I've ever heard.

  • goosebumps always.

  • and again, and again :)

  • I'm always waiting for the last 60 sec,; but they are worth it.

  • I love 3:20 onwards!

  • Comment removed

  • Best part: 4:20 - 4:50. xD

  • @RavenOfDarkness911 Agreed!

  • thumbs up if your were like "WORK IT SIMBA U BETTER WORK!"

  • The end of that song is just so beautiful....i can rewind it alot....its perfect :)

  • shever...:)

  • scar and 16 hyena's figured how to use a computer and start up a youtube account so that they could dislike this.

  • @RainFire1313 AHEM Scar's ghost maybe? lol

  • 4:30 epicness begins

  • At first glance, I thought it said "King of pride cock".

  • @SolidRaider6 good job

  • Time elapses. Yet i will never forget this movie. This music. Those scenes.

With Lion King by my side, im fearless.

  • very beautiful!!!!

  • Volume isn't loud enough!!!

  • Has Zimmer is a creative genius

  • 3:20 - 4:50 the reason why I'm listening it

  • I remmember when I was little kid, I was watching this movie, one and only Lion King, and after that I finally learnt what means beautifull life. Thank you Disney. You're best!!!!

  • Can you make this available for mobile please?

  • Beautiful..

  • Disney is incredible no PHENOMENAL when it comes to music! Pure genius! I get chills every time the chorus comes in. I've performed with Disney @ Candlelight, it's no joke, ITS WORK but its absolutely BEAUTIFUL!

  • pretty good composer

but no description in the tags section or anywhere

it`s like you were bored when you did this

what`s the name of the composer?

  • @FriendlyCroock Hans Zimmer

  • @FriendlyCroock Hans Zimmer :-) I don't know if there was someone else- you could look it up on Wikipedia.

  • 4:21 is the reason my cat hates me,

  • 4:15-4:50 awesome!!

  • "REMEMBAAAH"

  • @bonfythebest Sounds like you have a great mom.

  • i love how thismovie was based on Hamlet.

  • It is time.

  • 2:20 Scar: Simba, now it's time to tell everyone who really was the cause of Mufasa's death.

    2:33 Simba: I am..

  • lol im gonna force feed Disney to my kids.

  • Lion king is by far the best disney film ever made, this was proven with its reshowing in the cinema last year.

This film was the only time I have had a poster of something on my wall, im 22 now love this film as a kid, and sure as hell going to show it my kids.

  • ohhhh, that was cool

  • the best disney movie. the movie of my childhood

  • Anyone else getting goosbeumps at 4:22???

  • Seriously getting chills here, haven't heard this in such a long time, but instantly brings back a lot of childhood memories. So I guess this song left an impression!

Not too surprising because it's breathtaking music in a wonderful movie.

If a part of a song instantly takes you to a specific scene in the movie, I say: well done composer!!

    @EyesoftheNight01: indeed!

  • I am sixteen years,I <3 this music as I <3 The Lion King!!!

  • 4:00 + ..... there's my childhood, BAM.

  • 17 people with no childhood

  • Does 4:52 have its own song or is it just part of this? Cause I know for sure theres a full version.

  • @Milomia9

The same song plays when SImba's running back home to Pride Rock Im pretty sure

  • This was when Disney was ran by artists and professionals. Together, they literally created magic; so it was exhilarating, meaningful and just plain inspirational. This is Disney that I was watching since I could remember, and this is Disney I'm watching at 19 years old, and this is the Disney I'm gonna watch with my children. Forget the shit we have now, cause obviously all the competent and qualified cartoonists have been replaced by pedophiliac pimps. Shame. Really a shame.

  • Epicness at its finest

  • these movies didn't used to make me cry as a kid.. now that im older i've rewatched the lion king about 6 times.. i cry every time :'(

  • I don't even have an idea who could dislike this. Aliens ?

  • @bonfythebest VHS will probly obsolete :/ i plan on doing the same so im making a collection of all the classics as they come out on dvd or bluray

  • Skip to the best part. 4:21.

  • @eddiewlynch SKIP! Who would skip one seconds of this!

  • @rorysmovies Uh...I would.

  • I haven't seen that movie in years. Until now I always believed that it was a "baby" movie for kids. But I think it may actually be much more than that...

  • One Of My Best Childhood Movies !!

  • beautiful. <3

i want this song played at my funeral.

  • Simba:tell them the truth!

Scar:the truth? Truth is in the eyes of the beh-*chocks as Simba strangles him* all right, all right.*wispers*I did it.

    Simba:so they can hear you.

    Scar:I KILLED MUFASA!

*Sarabi growls and runs twards Scar followed by the other lionesses.*

  • @mustloveMJ119 "Truth is in the eyes of the beholder..." Simply genius.

  • 16 dislikes? hmmm must be the hienas

  • Long live mufasa

  • hans zimmer the best ... the best disney movie ever ...

  • 4:20...epic French horn win

  • moments like 04:20 , 05:45 ... so epic

  • This song alone can make tooth brushing an epic journey!

  • at 4:51 what type of music is that. PLEASE HELP!!!! i have been looking for months.

  • @boltoms African ;) I tking should you listen circle of life

  • @pudel192 "What type of music is that?" "African" We've got a racist up in here!

  • @pudel192 We've got a racist up in here!

  • @MihaiViteazul hahahahahahah nope :D

  • @MihaiViteazul100 what is wrong when I am saying that this is African theme? U will say that I'm a racist when I wil said: this is american theme?

  • @boltoms I believe since it is from the Lion King it is a combination of singing in the original African language and some gospel-ish. In a classicical/musical setup

  • Reminds me of Gladiator " Now We are Free"

  • @121UniversalCritic ii will agree with you on that one. but not yet... not yet.

  • makes me cry. too beautiful.

  • @NanerBob Ditto:)

  • best disney movie ever!!!

  • THIS is the way to end a movie!!

  • 4:20 makes me cry everytime...

  • @silverslippers95 Same. :(

  • That violin sounds so fuckin SAD to me, hard to handle the fact that it's over

  • Remember...

  • 5:30

i'm 18 and crying like a little girl

  • My Childhood was perfect :(

  • FUCKIN EPIC .. BRILLIANT

  • 90s Disney: It couldn't get any better than that.

  • @EyesoftheNight01 the renassance era for disney, it died down after tarzan. we're currently in the revival era.

  • just blasted this through headphones....woah.

  • @YourBiggestNerd LOL That's funny. I've blasted Lion King before, and it's so loud when they roar.

  • Goosebumps all over. Love this song.

  • Brings back old memories. This film was brilliant, loved it so much. Completed my child hood

  • SUCH A GOOOOD MOVIE!!!

  • 4:51

  • There's only two movies that have made me almost cry. Titanic and The Lion King. But I didn't cry over The Lion King just because there were other people watching, otherwise I would have drowned in the flow tears...

  • Remember who you are.

    YES SIR T.T

  • 3:20-5:58=Just incredible.....

  • Thank you mum for giving birth to me in the 90th !

  • i miss being a child....

  • hans zimmer is the beethoven of our time!!

  • i promised myself i wouldnt cry, but i have failed to. in the movie theater, i was gonna cry but then wouldof been embarrass because my friend was there wo i would just say that they are heartless :(

  • This movie played such a vital role in shaping me to what I am today. It came out in 1994, and I would have been 4 years old. I saw it on CBC last night, nostalgia'd hard.

  • @MrTotallyRad SAME omg

  • 4:41, Remember

  • And that my friends, is how you end a movie.

  • In future, when my children will ask me: "Mom, what does the word 'epic' mean?", I'll just play this to them. They'll understand :)

  • @benka013 No - show them the movie, then they'll understand.

  • @The7thsonof7thson good point, indeed :)

  • @benka013 This is definitely epic. I love The Lion King

  • @benka013 I'll do exactly the same

  • @benka013

I'll make sure my children will watch this movie. Not that trash that's on nowadays. I'm glad I was born in the 90s!

  • @benka013 The word "epic" is overused to the point of annoyance. However, it is the only word to describe this song.

  • Wow. Hans Zimmer did the Lion King? This guy is amazing

  • The feeling I get from hearing this song literally cannot be described in words. I was born in '99, so I didn't see much of the original Disney, but even I know the company today is crap. ESPECIALLY compared to older works such as this movie.

Long live Lion King, and long live the old Disney!

  • I love this movie, i love the music, i love the characters, i love that this was made by REAL Disney's stuff, I love my favorite actor who was in this and in the bloopers of the Lion King 3D as Mufasa :D Always will love real disney and all the best and wishing with all my might that Classics WILL COME BACK TO THERE TRUE FORM! (ROARS LIKE MUFASA AND SIMBA) WOOOOOO!!!!

  • its my best soundtrack in my life!

  • this is art at its highest. absolut beauty

  • Best music in any Disney movie...Eva!

  • 4:20 The definiton of EPIC

  • this is back when disney still rule

  • I don't like the improvisations at the beginning, but it gets epic from 2:22 till the end.

  • @TheCarloza improvisations? this is carefully scored music.

  • @stratnskichick92 My tears start coming in at 3:24 :'(

  • 3:24

  • how could anyone possibly dislike this video

  • I love 3:23 onwards :'(

  • R.I.P our beloved "Old Disney"...!

  • @beautifulIslam100 They'll be back. Not all the magic is gone, it's out there :D i believe it :)
