@dc619 dude, the Binghamton Senators had Vermette, Spezza, Phillips, Neil, Volchenkov, and Emery ON THE SAME TEAM that year, and still got beat in round 1 by Wilkes-Barre, whose starting playoff goalie was Andy Chiodo. Ouch.

I hear what your saying. He won't get away with that under AV or he'll be gone very quickly. So far hes responding, even outside of the success in goals this year, he's responding to how AV wants him to play. So far so good.
Can't play like that now? So much icetime? Are you kidding, he's so talented, his playmaking ability is amazing, but who is going to get 60-80 points a year playing 10 minutes (at max) of icetime a game? No one. What's going on with the coaching staff recently? Maybe he's just weak defensively, but he is still this good, if not, better.

Anyways, if he is in good shape this year he should be a 50 point man. If they trade him, look for him to kick ass on some other team that sees his playmaking potential.

Wellwood has been playing on the TORONTO maple leafs for 2 years now, and had an amazing campaign last year, despite being cut short by injuries.
