Anyhow when I move in to a place I always video tape what I am moving in to, that way there are no discrepancies when I leave. One time I moved in to a place where the walls were grey because of all the dust.
ed anyhow. The guy even said he never owned a vacuum before! Oh and our roof is falling off. But I tolerate it because he lets me live here with my three dogs and cat.
I brought with me a dyson vacuum, carpet cleaner and other cleaning stuff. I pay my rent on time, even sometimes early (well as of lately it has been early, its the 21st of August now I don't owe rent until October 1st). My landlord says I am the best tenant he has ever had! :)
@Koreagrrl that's a great idea to always video when you move into a place. That way, no one can dispute the condition of the property. This particular property is in an area that has gone downhill. It's been broken into several times and was recently vandalized again after the tenant was evicted. It's very hard for owners to get theft insurance now so here the owners will likely board it up and wait until the market recovers over the next few years.
I am a tenant where I live and would never even think about leaving a place like this. People like this make it hard for people like me to rent. It takes me long to find a place because I have 3 dogs and every landlord assumes that I will trash their place.
Right now the landlord I have is a slum lord. The place was gross when I first moved in (20 bags of garbage in kitchen) and I had to do a lot of cleaning. The yard was full of garbage under the deck. But I clean
Me neither....except that you can take the man out of the hood but can never erase the hood from the man. I lived in that area for 3 years developing a program that would help set people free economically. We now have that program but sadly cannot do much to help those currently living in this part of Atlanta...selectively only. I burned through over a million in cash in 3 years trying to make a difference. The tenant there now hasn't paid rent in 5 months...we don't have this prob elsewhere
House looks good compared to what they have done to some of my houses. It's all cosmetic. Shouldn't cost much to get it rented again. I will never understand why people can't live like people???
