Because by the time Armageddon was finished, John Tobias had allready left Midway. Actually, I'm not sure, but I think he actually left even before Deception. Some fans actually belived that the reason Noob Saibot became Noob, is because Tobias left the project, but that is untrue. Also, Ed Boon's brother worked on Armageddon. :D A shame Tobias left tho.

I think it has something to do with the fact that she wants revenge on Sub Zero. Look at their MKDA endings and play through MK Armageddon's Konquest Mode. Frost actually thought (at first) that Taven was Sub Zero and she ordered him to hand over the medallion.

both Deadly Alliance and Deception were cool, but in Deception you can't impale sharp weapons into your opponents. I hope you can do that in MK Armageddon

You have to think though, what they are trying this time around: the amount of content that's included. Really, I think it is more of an advancement. How often have you heard that someone wanted to make their character? How often have you seen fan/flash animations of creative Fatalities? Sure, they may not be original Fatalities, but however, it gives players a more free feel than previous games where real combat isn't limited to air.
