man im happy for the show. 8 years later is becoming one of the fastest growing youtube channels with currently over 16,000 subscribers, me being one of them! i dont know any other shows online that are putting out QUALITY classic to modern game reviews every day. for classic games ive only encountered poor quality reviews, and for reviews of new games, its just critics that nitpick at all of the games flaws. this is the most enjoyable show on the interwebz for gamers
these guys are great, i watch classic game room everyday, first thing i ever subscribed to also :o theres a ton of old games that got no credit whatso ever and these guys make they givem it, you guys rule <:D
Awesome stuff! Love the inside stuff about the show. I was surprised at Dave's answer about his fav episode tho, I figured for sure it woulda been the Seaman review, The Real Game Room/Alien 2600 review, Sega GT or People Hunt (tho he did mention some of those). Anyway I VERY much enjoyed part 2 and can't wait for part 3!
Man, you guys look the same today as you did back in the day. You could totally get away with bringing this show back, but I don't get why funding is such a big deal. I mean, most review shows on the internet now don't even come with budgets(I might be wrong about that) and it looks like all you have to do is talk into those mics, show vids of the games you're reviewing and that's it.
Still, this was a great show that I never got to see back in 2000.
I would assume that bandwidth costs was a huge problem. Hosting videos on your site costs buttloads of money when a lot of people are watching. Hosting videos on YouTube costs you nothing. Unfortunately, YouTube didn't exist in 2000.
If I had a website and Still Gaming had 800,000 views while YouTube didn't exist, I'd be canceled, broke, and still owe a whole lot of money.
Still Gaming is a good enough show that you'd find a way to pull a Screwattack and claw your way to success. Get better and make some new vids, Sasha.
ScrewAttack wouldn't have been able to afford the bandwidth costs, either, had they started in 2000. As you notice, all of their videos are hosted on revver. In 2000, things like ScrewAttack, Still Gaming, and The Game Room just weren't sustainable. Now that we DO have video hosting sites like YouTube and revver, projects like this can succeed because we don't have to worry about how much it would cost just to keep the videos up.

I say, everyone buy 10 dvd's. That way Mark and Dave have the disposable income to meet up once again. And maybe buy another island.

I've probably bought seven so far. Given away all extra copies to friends. I will be buying more.
