After reading some of people's comments. I admit I don't listen to Willie Nelson, Gene Vincent, Hank Williams and other peoples song. But I thought Elvisdid a good job covering this song but not the best.

I love this song. AND, I love me some Elvis. But this is just plain bad - no emotion, just cheese. Also, as great as Willie Nelson's version is, I'd say his is a tie for best rendition ever with that of Hank Williams, Sr. If you haven't heard him sing it, do yourself a favor, and check it out.

Dean Martin was said to purchase owner ship rights to RCA and later went on to pursue imporant matters of lawsuites. Dean Martins son died in a plane crash. Wow, I was sure I wasn't going to like this version, being that Willie sings this so beautifully. But Elvis' is not so acoustic. I like the gospel feel in Elvis'. I like Willie, and Elvis. While Willies is simple, intimate, poignant, Elvis is full, and gospel driven. The piano and the sweet Inspirations sound awesome, add so much to the effect the King was going for.

Never a fan of early Elvis Presley music but I did become to favour a few of his later 'Love Songs' and 'Country Ballads.' I had never heard Elvis sing this song until you uploaded it, and for this I truly thank you for a very professional and pleasing presentation, which I enjoy repeating. As a Willy Nelson fan, I think Elvis's rendition of this beautiful classic song is by far the best; it has become my firm favourite, being played many times. Thank you once again.
