  • you gotta pay i went it is a merical i got photos and a vidio wow it was amazing if you want to ask me think just ask i am 10 i was 9 then hope you reply

  • Yes, you have to pay for this

  • i swam with lester and we had cindy (also known as goofy) for a few minutes :) discovery cove is one of my favorite places in the world. ive been 3 times, twice at seaworld camp and once with my family.

  • i went to discovery cove this year it was so much funn :D

  • just by watching this ive decided not to dump $300 per person in my household on this...from the looks of this you're not swimming with the dolphins!!!! i'd rather pay the regular price for the attractions and just watch the other people get suckered out of all their money!

  • no, you do swim with them!

I swam with them, you feed them, play with them, and kiss them.

You hold onto their dorsal fin and they take you for a ride back to the shore.

Its worth every bit of money!

  • HE'S IN LOVE WITH ROSE! I love Hutch :)

  • did you like him. i thought he was very sweet i swam with him for my birthday

  • i swam wich hutch he rules

  • Hahaa so did we xD

  • I got to swim and spend time with lester he is the man!! I will never forget my experance their! doplhins are amazing and healing animals! Will be going again soon and will book more than one day!! You forget the world exist when you are their!! Amazing place to be!!

  • I swam with Lester, too! Like 6+ years ago! Discovery Cove's dolphin swim is a JOKE! It's not "Swimming with Dolphins" it's a closely monitored interaction with the dolphins, their trainers and 7 other strangers..after which they try to con you into buying $400 pictures.

It's like, "You CANT touch him here, here or here, but you can put one finger right here and ride on him for .6788 seconds so we can snap a picture. Okay, now would you like that in a 5x7, 8x10 or a Snow Globe??"

  • It DOES take a trainer 2 years before they are even allowed to get int he water with the killer whales or dolphins. The only reason your allowed tog et int he water with the dolphins is BEACUASE it's such a controlled enviorment. It's for your safty because dolphins need to develop a bond before they trust you compleatly.

  • Yes, I realize they can't just let people into a pool of dolphins unmonitored, but if you've seen the advertisements for Discovery Cove, where the people are underwater with their face right up against the dolphins', it's ridiculous! They make you think you'll be interacting with them a LOT more than you actually get to. It's just a con, I think. I love Discovery Cove, it's an AMAZING place. But I had more fun feeding the Dolphins at SeaWorld for $5 than I had swimming w/ them at DC for $500

  • Comment removed

  • has any1 else swam with dextar at discovery cove

  • i was just there on my birthday the 31st of October. It was so fun!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Do you remeber about how much it was to buy the pictures and video they take?

  • 200.00 $

  • ive just come back (2days ago) i want to go back asap the dolphin swim was amazing a wonderful place thanks

  • I swam with Rose in 2006 :)

One of the best day's of my life

  • i swam with lester but that blonde dude was the guy who showed us to him. best day of my life so far!

  • I SWAM WITH HUTCH! lol. he was awesome. that was the best day of my life. not even exaggerating. <3

  • SO CUTE!! XD

Is Hutch a girl or boy?

  • oh my god these dolphins look so stunning!plus soooooo friendly the ones in seaworld are beautiful to!

  • OMG!!! I went there i loooooved it so much and i got to swim with coral i loved her. The only thing is that when i was eating breakfast all the crow's started dive bombing me. I would'nt go in the coral reaf because i was afraid that i would step on a mantaray! But i love it there!!!

  • lol. They don't have manta ray's at Discovery Cove. Those are the biggest rays in the world. They have 6 ft Southern Sting Rays at DC. If you dive down to the bottom of the coral reef you can find some of their teeth too, it's pretty cool. =]

  • i swam with hutch :D i swam with him in 2001 :)

one of the best experiences of my life

  • ok people think that this dolphins are just taken from the wild and put into this parks. Well to tell you the truth there not aloud to do that do to animal rights. This dolphins come from dolphin nurser's like at sea world, when they get big enough there taken to places like this, our at other water parks.Yes way back then they did take dolphins and whales from the wild but now they have nurser's. So they can't really now the different from home.

  • hey kntm27guy what would you do if theres no more dolphins in the wild you stupid faget!!!!

  • its cruel how there taken from the wild for our enjoy ment:( my heart goes out to them

  • then dont watch this, this isnt for the tree huggers. This is for ppl who truly enjoy animals.

  • ahha, u said treehugger, but i totally agree with you, cant keep dolphins?, then u cant keep hamsters!

  • @ktm27guy Stupid redumblican

  • They have been rescued because they were in danger and dying when they were in the wild. They wernt taken from the wild.

  • Most of the dolphins at Discovery Cove were born at Sea World. Since most of them are older it would be hard to release them in the wild (and if I'm not mistaken the government doesn't want them to do so either) but, as in Keiko's [orca] case, it is possible.

  • Dolphins are beautiful creature

  • I agree.^^

  • what a beautiful animal.. god bless them.

they must go to heaven.. if there is such a place.

  • we had one of the oldest males called Lester!

  • we had the same dolphin in 2005!

  • That guy w the blonde hair was my instructor guy there lol

  • poo bums i lost my dvd with my dolphin swim :(

  • I likem all, I swam with CJ, but i got to see Rascal, Kaylee, Diego, and Capricorn!

  • the only dolphins worth having at DC are dexter and CJ...write that down

  • i went there on the 21st of november (my birthday

i had diego, and he is such a sweetie

he sang happy birthday to me!!

  • I went there in May

except I had Latoya who was the alpha female =]

  • omfg. no way!! i just went last friday, and i had hutch!! me and my friends say tht he's out boyfriend :) lmaoo

    I LOVE HUTCH!

  • i went swimming with dem there not so long ago

  • i lost my video :(

  • That Would Be Fun

  • Really? You think so? Zoos and marine parks only mission is to make money through using animals as entertainment. None of the marine parks in North America are involved in wild life releases. Only one actually gives money towards wild whale conservation (a small fraction of their earnings). If you feel it's okay to breed an animal built for an open ocean, into a tiny concrete tank, just so you can hang onto it and swim, then you are a cruel, and thoughtless creature.

  • seaworld actually does rehabilitation but it's behind the scenes. seaworld does mostly manatee rescue, and they do a lot of bird rescue as well. i went to seaworld camp and they took us behind the scenes and we saw some of the injured animals.

  • They are the same company

  • @KittyCat1279

yeah, if only those animal rights would understand. All they assume is that it's all evil

  • omg I swam with hutch too XD great to see his doing well still lol, it was ages ago, when it first opened lol

  • Any capture of a wild animal is wrong. These dolphins are not happy. They are rewarded with food for every trick. Imagine that they do this same thing every day with different people til the end of their lives.. not fun. Please don't pay for this nonsense. Let's keep the dolphins in the seas and the oceans.

  • no they enjoy it

  • You have no idea what you're talking about. These dolphins were born and raised in captivity. They wouldn't have a chance in the wild. They truly enjoy what they do.

  • Hi KiraDoggy, and thanks for your comment. I have read about re-introducing the captivity-born dolphins back into the sea.But I truly appreciate your point of view.

  • aww ,

i swam with hutch when i went..

  • 'The dolphin's great tragedy is its "smiling" face, nature's great deception.'

  • "Captivity helps them survive"?! That's outragous! That's like saying it's okay if I throw you in jail, otherwise you might get run over by a bus one day!

Dolphins are not happy in captivity. I join Ric O'Barry's (former "Flipper" trainer) fight to abolish ALL tanks.

  • It helps dolphins who were born in captivity survive.

  • In many ways it is NOT outragous, just as with keeping other endangered species in captivity, it saves them from being hunted for their meat, fur, bones, etc, and can be bred and often rehabilitated and sometimes released back into the wild. While there are many bad things about captivity, it DOES often provide a safe haven for endangered animals who are constantly threatened by poachers and hunters in their natural habitats.

  • Discovery Cove is an expensive day but totally worth it, the place is amazing.

  • Why do people always support the death of peaceful animals just for their amusement?

    --

If you don´t know what I mean start thinking about Taiji and stuff...

  • scottc1988, how much did this cost?

  • not sure, remember at 1st glance it seemed alot. but you also get unlimited access to seaworld and busch gardens included. And free food and drink all day! lol. experience worth every penny.

  • yeah, it looks like tons of fun! beautiful scenery too, must make it much more enjoyable to be around natural settings like that. anyway it looks like you had a great time, i'm envious!

  • 275 US dollars for us.

  • For how long? I mean how much time did it allow you to spend with the dolphins?

  • P.S. I'm talking about Discovery Cove and SeaWorld.

  • I hate people who think these dolphins are being abused. Being in capitiviy helps them survie, and it protected them from slaughter. They are happy in captivity, they have people who love them, and they get fed everyday. Probably in the wild, these dolphins would be dead, or staving to death in the sea, because their food got away.

  • This is so sad to see people supporting the death of dolphins for their own amusment.

  • I hate seeing animals in captivity, once they are caught, people feel they can do whatever they want with them... aslo no need to jump on them, just swim around them... anyway, they must release them, everyone has a right to be free, including animals

  • Excuse me, triny888, but, id these dolphins were released, they wouldn't last a week in the sea. Being in captivity gets them used to humans, and they become dependent of humans for food. They would get close to a boat, seeing the humans, and get hurt because of the propellers of the boat. They would starve to death, or, they were still bleeding from their wounds, be eaten by other animals. Captiviy saves them from such happenings.

  • Agreed. They were born in captivity.

  • Not all of them. Do the research and you'll see.

  • Are you implying that I should let my dog go in the forest?

  • so sad jappense kill dolphines that anumber 1 reason i h4te jappnese people they also kill whale fish . dolphines is the most coolist animal in world

  • umm well a huge HUGE population of japanese people don't do it, so that's absolutely rediculous of you to hate millions of japanese people because of the small percentage of people who do kill them

  • That dolphin looks happy but its sad that its in a tank all day

  • I've been to discovery cove. They're not stuck in a tank all day. The accommodations there are HUGE, and the dolphins are often ones that were rehabilitated from injuries or aging dolphins that have gone there to 'retire' in sorts from Sea World.

  • o

i didnt know that because i didnt even go there before! LOL

  • Yep.

  • That dolphin is cute with a cute personality but i feel sorry for it because its going to be in a tank for rest of its life!

  • I love this place the sting ray pool rocks going again in 47 days cant wait XD

  • i went here, its the best place on earth. this and seaworld.... i swam with them, got the photos and videos

  • CUTE!

  • LOLOLOL expensive!!!

  • going there in 2010

  • was it fun cuz we wanna go.

  • Poor dolphins how would you like to have to drag lazy ass wide ppl around all day?

  • Watch "Dolphin Massacre In Japan".

Almost all of the people in the world don't know about it, tell it to your friends & family.Raise public awareness.

    Dolphins are an ENDANGERED SPECIES.

Japanese EAT countless dolphins every year for sushi & sashimi since 400 years ago.

Dolphins are migratory mammals, therefore they belong

to the world, NOT to the Japanese alone.

The Japanese have NO right to slaughter them to extinction

copy this into 5 other forms. Save the dolphins.

  • I hate dolphins! Psyche!

  • why do you hate dolphins

    their awsome

  • all i wanted to do my whole life was to swim with dolphins. i go to florida every 10 years. when i got ther we wer gonna go to discovery cove. but when we went ther it was sold out. ill never swim them:(

  • I went to swim with the dolphins there! My family and I got the dolphin CJ!

  • I swam wth Hutch 2. One time he left cause he didnt want to give this guy a lift. lol.

  • XD Natasha started visiting the other dolphins when we were there.

  • Poor creatures - kept in a tiny shitty little pool their whole lives, never allowed to catch fish or stay with their families... nice lives, eh? plus they were most likely caught from the wild in a japanese blood bath dolphin slaughter.

  • and this one to...

  • Its called freedom of speach..

  • not.

  • Excuse me, but you have no right to say stuff like that. THIS is not a communist country and people have the right to say what they want. I was merely expressing my opinion. If you can prove to me that captivity is good for whales/dolphins, I'll listen to you but so far, all you've done is type one word comebacks and orders.

  • People have a right to say what they want in a communist country. I think what you mean to say is 'this is not a totalitarian country".

  • if this is a free contry than he has the right to say what he wants, asshole.

  • LOL. You say people have the right to say what they want, then you turn around and say he doesn't have the right to say what he wants. Hypocritical, much?

  • I loved those dolphins there! THEY WERE SO CUTE!

    ^_^

My family got Lenny, the older male.

We where signed up for Neo, his young son, but they changed it last minute.

  • delete this one...

  • You just can't accept the truth, peanut... Go look it up... Seriously. You would be very surprised, I think.

  • delete...

  • Like I said - you, 112peanut, look up the FACTS!! Aquariums are basically prisons for dolphins..

  • Basically or are? Hi peep :P

  • They were born and raised in captivity, dumbass.

  • Just to tell you, not ever animal in captivity was born there. A majority of them were indeed CAUGHT from the wild. I don't care what you read on SeaWorld or Ringling Brothers' websites... Just because the company says they raise all their own animals doesn't mean they do. Do some reasearch. I've done nearly 10 years worth.

  • 10 years of your life wasted because of a lie. You suck ass and deserve to get shot in the head.

  • Apparently ten years isn't enough.

  • They are amazing creatures!!!
