i remember the first time we saw those glyphs...the internet was a live with lost talk that day. Lost is just the best thing on tv ever, theres a lot of talk about how the final season cannot possibly live up to the hype but the show has done enough already to be considered immense.

What I dont get is based on the explanatin of the Lamp Post and flt 316 getting to the Island, than the Swan Station had nothing to do with the plane getting to the Island just the reason why it ripped in half.

Plus there's all these theories floating around (justifiably considering the apparent actions Jacob took to contact individuals who were on the plane in their youth) that there's some purpose (Jacob's) for bringing them to the Island.

I'm just hoping they publish a book after season six explaining every last little detail in detail.

The lamp post is situated above a pocket of material with properties similar to the pocket under the Orchid (where the frozen donkey wheel was). Using that pocket of material in conjunction with the pendulum set up and connected to a bunch of computers, the position of the island is predicted. Eloise Hawking used the station to find a point time at which an airplane would intersect with the island, and the only one that came up is flight 316. Hope this helps.

Well I think the lamp post gets them there if they're trying to get there. 815 wasn't supposed to go to crash, it was supposed to land in L.A.X. Whereas 316 they were trying to go back to the island
