  • GET FRAPS FUK!

  • Does this game on Windows Xp?

  • yes this is true, it even has faster response when you increase the ram to 4gb or 8gb :)

  • is the graphics card swapable

  • that sucks if u wanna play crysis just get a tower with the right rear in it.

how long did the mac last before it got overheated and start to get slow? or even crash?....

btw i can see whats behind u... :-/

  • Yes, you are right bro... The macbook pro can play crisis, but it is not 1/4 as fun as with a tower. And it actually didn't overheat or crash, I usually turn up the fans to 6000+ rpm, before playing games.

  • macs dont overheat easily, the fans work along with these blocks that protect the logic board from heat, along with the fans, but the desktop models dont even have fans, their silent,

although the vans do work harder when running windows, cause windows is just not built properly and takes alot more to help it run

  • That's some pretty bad glare.

  • Now that's impressive for a 9400M GT video card. I found a PC laptop with the same video card from bestbuy and its cheaper then all the laptops I been looking at. :)

  • The only reason it plays well is because of 9600GT, READ the description!! 9400m is garbage. I have studio xps 13 with 9400mg since it my main ram is ddr3 its 33% faster than white macbook 13 inch... But this macbook pro uses 9600gt plus 9400m... 9400m is used to save power and both are used to play games and everything else. Im still glad I sold my mac( just my opinion) now i dont have to buy vista to install it on mac just so i can do basic things..

  • Only 1 is used for games...

  • dude there r only a few hp gaming comps that work good, my friend bought one, it waz awsome, but one of the main reasons mac's can play crysis is because of its ddr3 RAM, ures maybe ddr2, so check, macbook 13 inch cant play on ultra high settings but medium high, so its ok

  • HEY GUYZ I GOT MINE A13.5''INCH 320GB HARDDRIVE DV3550EE HP PAVILION 2.53GHZ 4GB RAM 512VRAM DEDICATED.

BUT STILL CANT PLAY A HIGH SETTING ON CYRISIS AND FALLOUT3.

I FEEL THAT I MAKE A MISTAKE BUYING ON Hp BRAND....

IS ANYONE HAVING SAME MINE PLS.TELL ME YOUR EXPERIENCE ON THIS MODEL

  • Maybe your graphics card isn't compliant. only NVIDIA and ATI chipsets are supported.

  • oh,mine is 9300m gs.well its been a while and i already done with it and unistall this game.lol, currently playing Hawx is not realistic as the ace combat but graphic and gameplay is awesome.

  • I'm assuming you ran this at 1440x900, no? Have you tried notching it down to 1280x800 to see if you get a little better frame-rate (maybe 20-35 fluctuation)? Just curiosity on my part.

  • do you think this would still work without the "9600M GT with 256MB"?

  • You are talking about the new MBP 15 inch, the base model... mmm well crysis can run in the Macbook (previews gen (Late 2008)) which only has the 9400 card. Search youtube for videos of that. It runs much much slower and with less settings.

  • the option prefferences.... I think I saw "mainstream" and "gamer" what quality is that?

    Is mainstrea or whatever MEDIUM?

    and Gamer is HIGH?

  • hey i have a couple question for you cuz i just purchased an mbp and i've been trying to bootcamp windows xp pro, vista, &7 beta but i cant connect to the internet on any of those, just which os did you use, oh and ive torrented all the ones i used.. did you actually purchase yours?

  • No, I downloaded it. I use AMITs SP4 Version. Did you install the drivers that came with the Macbook Pro?

  • yet i got it to work with windows 7

  • The new Macbook mini has better specs than this why would anyone buy this? lol.... Would Mac book mini run crysis then it has better specs..

  • There is no such thing as a Macbook mini.

  • I meant mac mini i said macbook because i was thinking of the video lmao

  • actually wowhoblet, you're a retard.

  • Why you have to be a prick?

  • why do you have to be a dumb ass?

  • I didn't do anything to you? I said one wrong thing and you start being offensive? Your probably some stupid polak or luggi eh?

  • who wants my crysis warhead?:))

the multiplayer mode is lagging like crap

    damn dsl:-j

  • Comment removed

  • How did you notice?

  • i havea quick question, as i am planning to get one of these sweet mothers XD

    1. what screen resolution were you playing on (native 1440 x 900? or lower)

  • it's best to play on 1280 X 800 with details set to medium

  • GTA IV burns the hell out of the MacBook Pro >_>

I have an MBP and it can't handle GTA IV that well since GTA IV needs a lot of processing power(like a quad core or even an octa core)

  • Really? Is it the unibody? I about to get GTA IV

  • GTA IV can run well on my unibody. I bet it can run smooth on your macbook pro also.

  • octa cores dont exist yet, well maybe concepts, but deff not any marketed octacores.

  • Octa core does exist -- if you know what the Core i7 is, it runs a virtual 8-core even though it has 4 cores, it uses multithreading, and is wicked fast =D.

The neat thing is that when they come out with the mobile Core i7 chips, they will be dual core, but will have multithreading for 4 cores... 4 Cores on HALF the energy!!! o.O *drools* - that's what i hope will be in the Macbook Pro

also, their actual 8 core Core i7 (for desktops) will have up to 16 core multithreading *droooools*

  • obviously octa cores exist, you can get over a hundred cores. but core i7 is not an 8 core. hyperthreading does not double the amount of cores, it simply splits each of them in two.

  • lol dont exist? check out the specs on MAC PRO from apple lol comes with 8 physical cores, not "virtual"

  • my MBP with geforce 8800M gt 512 mb ram, 2gb ram, dual core 2.6 ghz handles GTA IV very well on medium/high 1280X800

  • @ryanracca GTAIV PC is a shit port. Just buy a console version.

  • thats funny how some people say macs r no good for gaming... umm yeah they r lol!

  • Can I play Crysis on a Macbook 2.4 (not pro)?

  • I do believe you can play Crysis on a Macbook, but not as well. The Macbook just has an integrated grafix card.

  • That screen is like, drool... so sweet. game lags a bit tho.

    My gaming pc specs

    C2DE8400@3.5ghz

    3gb DDR2 1066mhz

    ATI HD 4870 1gb VRAM

  • well,it looks to run pretty good then?

  • getting my new shiny laptop tomorrow :D

    Intel Core 2 Duo(2GHz) , 18" screen, 4GB Memory, 320GB hard drive, nvidia geforce 9600M GT 512mb

  • Which laptop did you buy?

  • What do you mean + 9600 GT, two video cards in the macbook?

  • never mind, i saw that the macbook pro comes with two, thats awesome... do you think it would run okay with just the 9400m with the normal macbook, im planning on getting one. Let me know. THanks

  • Hmmm there is a Hudge difference between the 9600 and the 9400. This is my first laptop and my first Mac. I wouldn't change it for the world. I am completely happy with this laptop. I really recommend. (But it is not for hardcore gamers)

  • thts the settings I get on my HP dv7

  • you can get better settings than tht on tht card!

I hav a 9600M GT and I play crysis all high apart from shadows and shaders on 1024 x 768, albeit in dx9 mode.

  • its on a laptop ? because a desktop 9600 is faster than a laptop 9600 ..

  • Would anyone like a video with more details, and in different settings? Maybe in a darker room also. (I also updated the Nvidia Nforce Driver)

  • wich resulution?

  • bootcamp?

  • Si, bootcamp + SMCFanControl

  • I'm getting this later for my own MacBook Pro!

    thanks bro for the video

  • My bad, ACDC

  • looks better then 25 dude more like 30-35

    but..... alot of pop ins

  • The song is Black Ice - Guns N Roses

  • acdc

  • whats the song?

  • looks MUCH smoother that 25fps

  • what resolution? im gessing native?

  • Yes native res, I'll be posting a better video when I get my good video cam
