  • It seems there is endless conflict between bi-racial chicks who are caramel-skinned against black chicks who are strikingly very dark skinned.

  • Fantasia's friend was separated from his wife for a year before she met him and the wife wouldn't sign the divorce papers. Alicia Keys actually broke up a family. The bigger star usually gets more press and gets a harder time. Not in this case, I dont understand why. Angelina Jolie was a homewrecker and got treated like one just like anybody else. With Alicia Keys, I read more about the baby and the wedding than anything else and its ridiculous. I will not support Alicia Keys anymore!

  • I don't think that AK got a pass. There were plenty of folks in the know about her dirty business.

It's too simple and too easy to say that its a light/dark skin issue. There were key differences beyond skin color. AK is not being sued by the Swizz's ex-wife. AK did get a lot of flack but she and Swizz ignored almost all of it and basically had a better PR team. Fantasia got a tat on her should of the guy's name then lied about it, which exacerbated the situation.

  • ...Cont

Fantasia then made some suicide attempts. Somewhere in the mess somebody decided to film the drama for a reality show. Where was her PR team?!

It's true that AK and Fantasia are on two completely different levels. I would suggest that while Fantasia gained cross-over appeal through AI, she chose the chitterling circuit route instead of trying to leave the hood for something better. AK, on the other hand, has built a pretty good facade of classiness (despite her skankicity).

    Cont..

  • I did videos about both AK and Fantasia. They both engaged in trifling behavior. But at least AK didn't blame the backlash she received on skin tone. I guess you've got to be a ballsy broad to cheat with a married man, but at least she wasn't putting his name on her shoulder or boldly lying about it.

For all Fantasia's talent, its not not others keeping her down. Her mentality and low aspirations do.

  • I LOVE FANTASIA I WISH PEOPLE WOULD STOP BRINGING UP OLD STUFF DOE ITS NO DIFFERENT WITH ALICIA KEYS IF YALL ARE TRIPPING OVER FANTASIA SO BAD TRIP OVER ALICIA KEYS LETS GO FANTASIA LOVE THE NEW ABLUM ITS DOING WELL ON THE CRATS BUY HER ABLUM IF YOU HAVENT YOU MUST WIN THAT GRAMMY 2010 IS YOUR YEAR

  • alicia is half white ,therefore more marketable and so makes more money

    tasia is black ,

    hence why keys was protected

  • you mean 'air jordans', those are made in collaborartion with nike, but, the 'jordan' brand is his alone. if you have proof that it is not, let me know. and really you shouldnt shoot down jordan, atleast its a black man making money from them sneakers, whos making the money from the pumas,pradas,(nike/ the sneakers that are not made in collaboration with black sports stars) addidas, bathing apes, all those other sneakers...?

  • i dont think that if fantasia would have been shielded from the media like alicia keys if she was making the money , i believe that would never happen because of her color, shit if that is the case, look how the media put whitney houstons shit on blast... and she is a legend in the game!

  • a friend of mine brought this up to me and i believe it. alicia keys new husband was still married when she started to fuck with swiss, and fantasias ex was also still married, but was told that he was seperated from his wife. so the fact that fantasia was shitted on by the media for being with dude, and the 'situation' with alicia and swiss, was almost never brought up is all types of fucked up and it has to do with skin tone period!

  • @shogunkilljoy with fantasia i think it was not only skin tone but also she was less popular. Primarily though it was because the dude she was with was married and lied about it. Swiss got with Alicia after he was separated.

  • @ladydafi THATS A MATTER OF OPIONION I THINK WHITE MIXED AND SPANISH WOMEN ARE UGLY. ALICIA KEYS LOOKS LIKE A MARSHMELLO LIKE ALL TYPICAL WHITE GIRLS.

  • I appreciate this vid bro...Keep being a voice of reason for our generation...

  • RIGHT THEY DID FANTASIA EXTRA WRONG DOE THATS NOT RIGHT BUY FANTASIA BACK TO ME ABLUM

  • What about Gabrielle Union and her whole issue with Dwayne Wade? Virtually everyone black/white/whatever are not condemning. In fact, they're on her side. She's attractive and likable and dark-skinned. Fantasia isn't very attractive period. I think that's the bottle line. Attractive women get away with more than unattractive women. It's a sad fact, but its true. I don't think Fantasia's skin color has anything to do with it. I think its because she's pretty irrelevant.

  • @IstahilIB

I heard D Wades wife did some sh... to Wade first. Also, I have heard many people talk bad about Gabrielle Union and D Wade's relationship. In many cases they don't even get that must publicity. in my opinion. To be honest I don't even thing Gabrielle Union is more famous than Fantasia.

  • at the end of the day, black folks, we need to start our on businesses and support companies that are willing to listen.

  • @Teriyaki32186 "at the end of the day, black folks, we need to start our on businesses and support companies that are willing to listen."

Yes we do! Pool the resources and start our own company and distribution and don't sell out like Johnson sold out BET to Viacom who owns MTV. And black folks should set our own standards and not base it on 'nonblack standards for what is acceptable musically and physically. I really would like to see that happen too Teriyaki.

  • @nancydrew5

most of the ones on t.v. are sellouts. Thats why they are allowed on t.v.

  • @nosimpin1 Amel Larrieux is an example of an artist with the 'crossover looks, talent, hiphop neo soul style, but hasn't enjoyed wide success. She is largely an underground artist. She plays multiple instruments as well. Esperanza Spalding is another artist with 'crossover looks and talent. (None of them have your clive Davis backing them). Tracy Chapman didn't have the 'crossover looks, but was immensly popular won a few grammys including one for rock and has a large nonblack following.

  • @nancydrew5

how old is she and I guess she didn't sell out. You know people do all kinds of sh.. t get promoted in hollyweird. Where is her Miseduation album?

  • And for those who think it is based on looks, There are many, many so called 'cross over physically appealing nonwhite articles who are in obscurity' while those who look more ethnic are successful. While looks do play a part, Ultimately it is who backs the artist that counts the most. Alica Keys has Clive Davis in her corner. He was her ace!

  • India Arie is also a crossover popular artist. I've gone to many of her concerts and see a lot of nonblacks there as is Macy gray who is more popular among nonblacks than blacks. I think it is all in who one gets to market and back them. These powerful mogul type like Clive Davis have the muscle to do what 'they' want in the industry. Often it's not based on how someone looks, but rather who they have in their corner backing them. If Clive Davis was in Fantasia's corner she'd be big too.

  • @nancydrew5

80% of rap cds are bought by "whites". Some people don't have the money etc to go to concerts and so on.

  • IMO Alicia Keys has Clive Davis and Fantasia doesn't. Clive Davis is the most powerful man in the music industry. Lauryn Hill who was quite popular and in no way had the 'cross over 'white look' (if you're basing it on the physical). And she won 5 Grammys for her Miseducation of Lauryn Hill and this was 'after she'd left the Fugees. Often artists who leave a popular group, they fail on their own. Her album debuted at #1 on billboards and Lauryn got pregnant too while recording the album.

  • @nancydrew5

What does Lauryn Hill have to do with Fantasia? Lauryn Hill was popular because of the fugees and her acting career, and talent. Lauryn Hill looks way better than Fantasia and her whole vibe and image is different. I don't think anyone would compare Fantasia's music or even Alicia Keys to Lauryn Hills miseducation album. How does Lauryn Hill's situation relate to Fantasia or Alicia Keys?

  • @nosimpin1 I used Lauryn Hill as an example of a successful ethnic looking popular crossover BW. Your comment on her looks vs Fantasia is your opinion and doesn't really make it factual that others feel the same way. If Fantasia had a Clive Davis in her corner like Alicia Keyes, she would be successful regardless of her looks. If India Arie had Clive Davis she would have won Grammys too. The difference isn't so much looks but who backs the artist.

  • @nancydrew5

I don't doubt having backing, top promotion helps but I still don't think India Arie would sell as much as Alicia Keys or cross over half as much.

  • @nosimpin1 "but I still don't think India Arie would sell as much as Alicia Keys or cross over half as much."

Again your opinion. I have cited a few examples of crossover successes. I'm not comparing crossover artists as who sells the most records, I'm strictly speaking to crossover success based on comments some have made on 'physical looks. This is all. Many black artists who didn't have the 'cross over looks like Alicia Keys and Mariah Cary have enjoyed major cross over success.

  • @nancydrew5

Still the fact is that they are going to have to work make better music and still probably won't achieve the same success as the cross over artist simply because of them not looking a certain way.

  • @nosimpin1 I think holding people to different musical standards simply based on their looks is an insult to the artist. This is why people shouldn't be 'spoon fed' their music based on what the media pushes at them. And black folks especially shouldn't buy into this mess. The music industry has exploited black folks for years. Using 'looks' now is just another form of exploitation. People shouldn't be so easily brainwashed. Look at the music, judge it' and not the looks.

  • @nosimpin1 " How does Lauryn Hill's situation relate to Fantasia or Alicia Keys?"

For those sayin Fantasia failed because of her looks, I used LH to show that 'crossover looks’ doesn't always play the biggest role in the success of an artist. Lauryn Hill doesnt look like Alicia keyes or Mariah Cary types yet she was quite successful. Lauryn Hill looked more like your Fantasia with the more ethnic African features yet she was a successful crossover artist.

  • @nancydrew5

Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey's make different kind of music than Lauren Hill. "Failed"? We are talking about why certain people get threw under the bus not record sales.

  • @nosimpin1 "Alicia Keys and Mariah Carey's make different kind of music than Lauren Hill. ""

According to music billboard, they classified Lauryn Hill's musical style as Hiphop rap and neo soul. Yet she was a popular cross over artist. Alicia and Mariah are both considered 'pop' artists, but the point which you're refusing to get is not the music genre but that Lauryn despite her physical looks not being that of 'cross over appeal like Alicia and Mariah was still a popular artist.

  • @nancydrew5

Thats because her music was that good. Britney Spears makes songs and is famous for what? New Edition comes out as a very talented group sells records but when New Kids on the block comes out why all the commotion. They get lunch boxes, bed sheets, all kinds of stuff and record sales off the charts. Do you honestly think their music was better or they were more talented than New Edition. How did they do in solo careers?

  • @nosimpin1 "Britney Spears makes songs and is famous for what?"

Brittany is an example of a studio created pop star'.She is a 'product' created to appeal to a certain age group (tweens) to generate huge revenue. See the utube video 'How to create a popstar'. This has gotten off topic, my point is 'looks alone doesn't mean an artist can't have crossover success. Who they have backing them is the main factor in their success. If Fantasia had Clive Davis backing her she'd be more successful.

  • @nancydrew5

I agree but looks are a big factor at who will get thrown under the bus more than not. Looks determine can limit how big of a star you become. Even Michael Jackson talked about this.

  • @nosimpin1 "I agree but looks are a big factor at who will get thrown under the bus more than not."

Well rather than continue to go back and forth, I was simply stating my thoughts, I don't have to agree with you nosimpin anymore than you have to agree with me. I don't recall addressing you in particular when I first commented, but you came after me. Let's agree to disagree and call it a day.

If you are not that attractive or have " cross over" lol looks as a woman especially, you must be really talented to sell lots of records. What is being said is that the less mainstream in looks woman gets attacked more by the media than the cross over girl for misbehavior. As far as Grammys go, I think "pop" artist are discredited more often for "musical substance" when it comes to winning those awards even though they sell more records. Swizz beats more famous than Rohan

  • @nosimpin1 "If you are not that attractive or have " cross over" lol looks as a woman especially, you must be really talented to sell lots of records. What is being said is that the less mainstream in looks woman gets attacked more by the media than the cross over girl for misbehavior. "

This is sad but seemingly true. And a lot of people are missing out on great artist by restricting themselves to what mainstream media pushes at them. Media are about getting the most for their money

  • @nosimpin1 "When I see bw crying about not being accepted into a modeling company that says no bw models wanted I shake my head "

Just because a behavior is practiced, doesn't make it right or acceptable. Discriminatory thinking is dangerous. Once upon a time it was standard & acceptable to deny blacks the right to vote or ride in the front of the bus. Thank goodness Black folks started 'crying' and fighting the system. We don't have to co-sign to this way of thinking.

  • @nosimpin1 "bw who seem to care about what everyone but brothers think. "

I have to wonder when brothas like you and others who have commented negatively about fantasia's looks while agreeing that 'Alicia keys looks has a positive affect for her, care about what sistas think and feel? It seems brothas are on the bandwagon of rejecting sistas who look less like the Alicia Keys and Mariah Cary types. But then you say sistahs don't seem to care about what brothas think? Do brothas care?

"Alicia Keys looks better than Fantasia. Yes, Iam willing to bet over 90% of men would say so. Their are many good looking bw but Fantasia really isn't that hot."

I see that this comment was removed, but it still showed up in my inbox. We can't talk about racism and white folks hating black folks when we 'co-sign to this way of thinking. Nonblacks set the standard for 'beauty in this country. That doesn't make it right or acceptable for all.

  • @nancydrew5 TO ME SHE IS; I'D RATHER HAVE HER THAN ALICIA KEYS

  • @nosimpin1 Continued.. Thank goodness for artists like India Arie who made songs like Brown skin and "I am not my hair'. She is true to herself and what she stands for and still successful. While she may not be a crossover success like Alicia Keys, that doesn't mean she hasn't enjoyed great success as an artist without 'selling out'. I've gone to a few of her concerts and see a lot of nonblacks in the audience. I love her lyrics and her talent. She is creative and genuine.

  • @nosimpin1 continued: "Alicia Keys looks better than Fantasia. Yes, Iam willing to bet over 90% of men would say so. Their are many good looking bw but Fantasia really isn't that hot."

Brothas & sistas should love and embrace the beauty of black folks that come in all shades rather than co-sign to what nonblacks have set up as 'their' ideal standard of beauty. In music, talent/creativity & musicality trumps looks every time IMO. I don't care what someone looks like, I care about their music.

  • @nancydrew5 FANTASIA IS NOT NO ALICIA KEYS BUT FANTASIA IS FAR FROM UGLY

  • @nancydrew5 black people don't come in all shades and looks. Those various shades and skin complexions are a result of mixing with other races. Many of us are just in denial of this fact and like to pretend.

  • @termanology85 "black people don't come in all shades and looks. Those various shades and skin complexions are a result of mixing with other races. "

You contradict your own post. You say black people don't come in all shades and looks, then you turn around and admit that there are various shades and skin complexions as a result of mixing with other races. Which is it, either black folks come in one shade/complexion or they don't. Regardless of 'how' it happened Blacks have different shades.

  • @nancydrew5 I differentiate between original black people and people who identify as black but are really mixed.

  • @termanology85 "black people don't come in all shades and looks. Those various shades and skin complexions are a result of mixing with other races".

I never went into the 'why' black people come in different shades. This is something YOU' brought up. I said, 'Brothas & sistas should love and embrace the beauty of black folks that come in all shades." So what is the point of your post with you tryin to say i brought up mixing with other races when this is something you said?

  • @nancydrew5 people should embrace the beauty of the shade they themselves come in. a dark skinned person should love & embrace their own shade.. a light-skinned person should love & embrace their own shade.

  • @termanology85 "black people don't come in all shades and looks. Those various shades and skin complexions are a result of mixing with other races. "

In the continent of Africa black people from one country to another will vary in their skin complexion. There is much less race mixing there than over here. People from Benin look different than people from Ethiopia, Kenya, Congo.

  • @nancydrew5 the reason that people in Benin look different then people in Ethiopia is because generally Ethiopians have a degree of racial admixture though some wont admit it. Do the research into people's history as I have and you will realize.

  • @nancydrew5 add me as a friend, I want to send u a pm

  • @nosimpin1 @nosimpin1 "If you are not that attractive or have " cross over" lol looks as a woman especially, you must be really talented to sell lots of records."

Media is about getting the most for their money and not the music. But it is really sad when black folks get caught up in that same 'game' and run down women of our own race based on 'white folks standards. This is what is even sadder. We should not allow nonwhite folks to dictate what is physically attractive in the eyes of blacks.

  • @nosimpin1

Yes she was a former member of the Fugees but often artist fail, once they attempt to strike out on their own no matter how popular they were in a successful group. And LH also became pregnant by Rohen Marley who was already married too, she also dated Wyclif while with the fugees. LH's image was shaped by her management who never wanted her to be seen without makeup too eventually she got tired of this and fired them.

  • @nancydrew5

Lauren Hill had really great music and is very talented that is why she didn't strike out. Everybody also knew her (well "black" people) from acting and her hook on Nas "If I ruled the world". Wasn't she in Dangerous minds, sister act etc. Like I said Lauren Hill is seen as attractive. The media is way bigger these days with twitter, cellphone pics etc. Also, Alicia broke their marriage up and is married to him now. She didn't just get pregnant by him she stole the womans man.

  • @nosimpin1 " Like I said Lauren Hill is seen as attractive."

Again this is subjective and it is sad that people are commenting negatively on Fantasia's looks and comparing her to Alicia keyes. These are apples and oranges. In the US BW were never lauded for their own ethnic beauty, rather it was held against a nonblack standard and that is unfair. I saw Fantasia on stage in Color Purple on Broadway and she was amazing. I think she has poor management surrounding her.

  • I read the article all I can say is Damn girl. A T-mobile phone salesman

  • @quentinsparks23 get a life. this is real talk

  • Amen I co-sign this

  • fantasia looks like a typical black chick from the hood

  • Alicia keys= Fine

    Fantasia= ugly

who cares what color they are

    one is fine

    one is ugly

Keys is easier to market than fantasia

Keys... can play the piano and sing, and has a nicer body all races can relate with her without feeling like they're listening to BLACK music.

    tough luck fantasia

  • @bevon17

you know we don't want to feel like were listening to "black" music because its such a bad thing damn that n..... music from the beginnings of rocknroll to raggae to soul, rap etc damn near all music. we want the watered down version of "blackness" from the persons to their music. Naturally offensive right. Yes go get the bleach and hot comb because your not up to the eurocentric standards. Tough luck fantasia your too "black" looking etc right thats offensive. White is right lol.

  • ???

yea i dono what you're talking about

you're attempting to be clever, but I'll assume you're a black girl

honestly i forgot hot combs even existed and it was almost strange to see you bring those up

lol i forgot people still did things like that.

but yep tough luck..... Media markets whats easiest. tough luck fantasia

    life isn't fair

I'm a 20 year old whos 5'2 you think I'd get famous as a runway model

nope.. tough luck to me... not marketable

    capitalism not emotionalism

  • @bevon17 I will assume your a caucasion.

  • word to the crucifixion of whitney houston and the protection of vanessa williams.

  • alicia keys = light skin. fantasia = dark skin. the end.

  • I started to go in on this very subject - either way both of them are in the wrong - and regardless of celebrity/class - marriage is sacred - and we are all to blame when this is considered acceptable - no matter who, how, when - this is all completely in appropriate and as Black women they should be ashamed - marriage is mythical for us - so why do this so publicly?

  • I used to like Alicia keys and fanstasia, but there both home wrecking hoes, i don't care about their background. Fantasia might have a little leeway, but it seems that IF alicia keys had the better background she should have KNOWN BETTER.... besides, when you do dirt on to others it gets done back to you. Fantasia should get sued, and we all know the alicia keys marriage is not going to last, swizz beats might get half if divorced... .( overall i still think she's gay)...

  • One MAJOR correction needs to be made regarding something you've said, Pinkk... "Tommy Hilfiger" *NEVER* said any such thing about not wanting black people to wear his designs or not designing his fashions for black people. This is another of those URBAN MYTHS which has successfully circulated without enough people challenging it or researching the claim!

  • Teach Them!!!!! Im feeling you!!!

  • LMAO..Pink,I don't know what the hell that Black Woman was thinking when she called DR.Laura Schelschsingger...That woman is notorious for talking shit about people who are not white...lolI don't condone what the Dr.said,But your asking a White Woman..lolAbout your IR with a man who won't stand up for you.Amazing!

  • Excellent points.

  • Excuse me Pink for my language...FOR 400 YEARS THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK!IN 2010 THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK!BLACK PEOPLE THEY DON'T GIVE A FUCK!STOP FUCKING CRYING!DAMN!

  • @quentinsparks23

Pinkk actually has talked about more than just black issues. Unfortunately those videos do not get as much attention as the black issue vids.

Think of it as like Tyler Perry's low-brow comedy versus Spike Lee's more headier films. Lee's "Miracle at St Anna" grossed a little over $9 mil while Perry's "Madea goes to Jail" grossed over $90 mil.

Unfortuantely we black folks tend to be attracted to media that either fit in with our race-neurotic nature or are dumbed down.

  • We black folks are forever begging for everything. We never seem to be able to attain control & be masters of our own economic, social, psychological, and cultural fates.

It's just like my argument with another video poster in the"n"-word issue. Instead of taking command of our own fate & barring the word completely, some handkerchief headed negroes would rather grovel & beg whitey to stop using the word. Always begging...

I am so disappointed with my fellow black people right now.

  • amerikkka did a 180 degree turn lol. Why or why are we ALWAYS trying to appeal to white peoples' morals(or lack of lol)???

Keep up the great work, lil Brotha!

  • You, go, Comrade!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You had me laughing throughout the video. Not laughing at you, but laughing at the REAL azz points you were touching on. You would think that after Malcolm and the other Comrades talked about 'doing for self' in the 50's and 60's that WE would have understood. But nooooooooooooooooo.......self-determination is like a cuss word in our community lol. Hell, most of us dont even know what it means to be honest. Peeps think that because Obama got elected that somehow

  • @quentinsparks23,

    *FAIL*

  • I think they both are skanks...equally. I used to like their music..now I don't.

A.Keys has better PR and Fantasia doesnt.

A.Keys inherited Swiss Beatz big debt! They will get theirs...eventually.

  • One of the other reasons why Alicia Keys got protected is because she has better PR. They fought to keep her business out of the public whereas Fantasia's PR people didn't do such a good job.

  • @cjjaxxon

Alicia Keyes also has the ability to create music that appeals to people across all backgrounds. She also doesn't give off the impression of being some perpetual victim of the world, which can be a turn-off after a while.

  • @willia3r You know that's what they say about her music but I ain't never saw it that way, not saying you're wrong though.

  • @willia3r

We also need to remember that Alicia is getting less hell than Fantasia, because she married the dude AND is pregnant with his baby, whereas Fantasia is just sexing someone's husband. Not excusing Alicia for sleeping with another woman's husband, but honestly, what media is gonna slam a pregnant woman under the bus for being having an affair with a married man, who later divorces his wife and marries her?

  • You should definitely keep making videos like this because we need the great insight that you provide!

  • i don't know why we resist polygamy

successful men are ALWAYS going to be desired by multiple women

neither they nor the women who desire them should be critiqued

  • Pink.. Good video analysis..

However both are home wrecking whores...

It's doesn't matter about the backgrounds of either... Women know exactly what they are doing when you enter a relationship . I hope the wifey get what she is suing for.. And I hope swiss cheats on Alisha too!

Bad karma will catch up.. With you!

  • @jadeisback

Damn right a home wrecking ho is a home wrecking ho they both gonna get theirs. Now I don't condone this shit at all but Fantasia properly been set up, I mean think about it she is a celebrity and living in a state when a home wrecker can get sued, real talk that's something to look at and yes she knew the the hell she was do but as you know women let their emotions cloud their judgment.

  • @jadeisback,

    "both are home wrecking whores"

    +1000

  • @quentinsparks23

too what skinny jeans and jerkin lol. Or we are the world we should love the world lol.

  • As far as Tommy hilfiger goes and the guy saying he has had them in his ads for years. When I heard about that sh... I was really young so that was a long long time ago. Iam pretty sure it was before he had them in his ads. Oprahs word lol, they always want to "black wash issues". Watch the Colbert report video talking about "blackwashing". Any so called brother or sister I see on t.v. gets put on for a reason. Yes, the safe n..... or coon gets put on display and the sh... gets edited too.

  • ALICIA KEYS STILL A RELEVANT CASH COW UNFORTUNATELY AND FANTASIA IS A HAS BEEN THAT'S FINISHED AND OBAMA IS DEFINITELY A FRAUD PERIOD AND THE ''ELITE'' BANKERS DON'T CARE IF WE VOTED FOR HIM OR NOT BUT YOU DON'T HEAR ME THOUGH.

  • @quentinsparks23

when's the last time i did a vid like this?

  • Also i agree with you on alicia and fantasia. I believe that whole 'african wedding' thing was a ploy,i mean please, Swizz Beatz, In Africa. What probably happened was that alicia was on some 'i do what i want' tip and because her demographic of appeal is so wide, the white people who own the record label shes on told her PR to work around it. Thus the African wedding. Fantasia however has a smaller demographic, and an upbringing that allows for that 'let her suffer' mentality that media hastaken

  • Alot of these 'black intelectuals' go through a sort of vetting system before they get into those positions. As far as i'm concerned they know thier doing it, it's been too long a trend not to have noticed. They don't want no claude andersons or black authority's running about in mainstream media This is the reason why i kinda get edgy when i see 'smart black people' on tv, thier all saying the same damn thing. I'm getting sick of this 'Black peoples need white peoples help to live' BULLCRAP.

  • Oh, and Pink do me a favor and stop recycling the Tommy Hilfiger lie. The man has had black people in his ads for years, so for him to say that wouldn't make sense. You might recall that in some tellings of this tale, he supposedly made this statement on Oprah, though Oprah herself has said it never happened. Don't take it from me... Look up Tommy Hilfiger and Oprah here on Youtube, and see for yourself.

  • THANK U PINK someone out there feels the same way, the i way see-fantasia iz gettin a lot of flack for bein wit a married man bcuz...i hate to say this...she's darker thn alicia keys. so to put in perspective fantasia had a bad childhood, her home was almost taken away, admitting she couldn't read to good even though pink is expressing other things but i have chose to look at it this way.

  • Fantasia is ridiculous, that's why she's catching hell. I won't go into her history as far as being illiterate, or even her slide into typical ghetto ass nonsense as far as involving herself with a married man. The point is EVERYTHING about her is such a stereotype that simply hearing her name is enough to cause most black people who are about something to cringe. You have to search to find shit on Alicia Keys, but Fantasia's stupidity stays on full display all day, every day.

  • brother actions speak louder than words and their are lots of fake a.. people out here pretending. Its time to trim the herd. Time to set rules and regulations and if you can't get with it your out period. As far as women go we all know most women go to the highest bidder etc. Why would you be suprised we see womens actions everyday.
