was at these 2 shows, they were the last time the dead ever played at spectrum. ended with samson and delilah. parking lot was ragin. is to bad I had to leave about an hour after the show, for my 15 hour drive home.

@sunriseRISE That's great. I love Lennon as well. Saying you wouldn't put Warren in the top 2300 is kind of a stretch. May not be your fravorite, but give credit where credit is do my man. This was not my favorite version of this song, but Warren with The Allman Brothers is just down right awesome. Don't care bout your opinion on that. It's great, period no question. Gov't Mule is an excellent band as well. Live and in the studio. and please don't lecture me on Duane Allman. I love him too.

@sunriseRISE Lennon couldn't find his way out of the first pentatonic scale. To say you wouldn't place warren in the best guitar player is proposterous. I know everyone has their own opinion, but still man. Warren is a great guitarist, and I believe he does Jerry Garcia much just, as well as Duane Allman and Dickey Betts, and various other musicians his been called apon to take the place of.

This song was not my "highlight" song, but this show was! This was the best sounding show of their run in my opinion. I wish that for some of the songs that Bobby sang, they would have let Warren take the reigns to belt it out!

I sure hope they come out with a fall tour!

The one thing that stopped me from going to any "reunion" shows is the fact that Bobby sings some of Jerry's songs ,plus his own.Too much Bobby for me..lol..

make all the excuses you want, you might not EVER get a chance to see the core 4 in action again, in which case you will hate yourself for thinking such a silly thought for the rest of your life. Everyone I knew that went had a great time, even if Bobby forgot a few words, or if Warren tried to steal the show. Jerry sounded like death in the mid 90's, but people still went to see him. The people that didn't go because he sounded bad are in your position right about now...

I have seen them 31 times with Jerry,so ,fortunately I won't regret not seeing them now.I was lucky enought to see some shows before the mid -90's where Jerry didn't sound so good ,like you said.I am not seeing that it wouldn't be ggod.I just feel it couldn't possibly be the same for me as it used to be.

I wish I could have been as fortunate as you were, but unfortunately I was not! I was just too young to realize what was going on until it was too late... This song was simply a novelty, it really was the worst one they played. This show, however, 2009-05-02 was the best one on the east coast of this tour. Going to the new reunion shows, and being involved in the whole scene was definitely where it was at in 2009. This is the best we're gonna get now-a-days, so get it while you can...
