Uh, I think the point about Phony Soldiers might have had something to do with men and women who sign up for the military because they can't get a job in an economy that has been fundamentally destroyed by Reid, Pelosi and others and because it was the only way they could get a shot at college.
Personally, I consider the Afghan and Iraq war as illegal and our soldiers never should have been sent there in the first place. But if you join the military, you sign up for war if called to do so.

It was the democrats who passed the new G.I. bill, got the troops body armor, new improved mraps, armor for the old ones, desert training etc. They passed legislation to prevent a lapse in health care coverage for returning national guard troops. Success of a program is not necessarily related to the validity of its content but instead to its ability to cater to its demographic. Spike TV doesn't succeed because its programming is enlightening and of great quality it succeeds because they know men want to watch women in bikinis on trampolines and guys beating the shit out of each other. In December 2007, the FCC overturned a 30-year-old ban prohibiting a single company from owning both the local newspaper and a television station in the same community. But by that time just six or seven HUGE coxrporation --NONE of them liberal --own more than 90 percent than all media outlets in the entire nation.

Nevada is a tiny little state ,but Reid gets a lot of outside support. The GOP in Nevada is very weak. The only way to get Ried out is with outside support as well. Regardless of what Rush really meant by that comment, Rush can express whatever views he so chooses. If Rush wants to insult every U.S. soldier in the world that is his constitutional right and as a member of the U.S. armed forces, I would die to defend that right.
