I got it winter of 2001, but when I realized how bad the launch titles were and what titles would never be on the system (GTA, FF, MGS), I quickly sold it for a PS2. I've since moved on to PS3 and I have never ONCE regretted my decision to leave the Nintendo brand. Nintendo has decided that the younger (14 and under) crowd is more profitable. Maybe they are right, but the original generation of gamers doesn't fit the mold anymore.

I hate having to break my arm just to play Wii Sports in a way nature didn't intend, to play in a way that other game systems DONT play. To wrap my brain around needing to play games in a way that is against all logic and reason. I finally made PRO status but then retired from playing Wii ever again. I reached Pro only to prove to myslef that I could do it but only after having serveral nervous breakdowns.

So ODST wasn't exactly the best value for the money, there's plenty of 360 games that are worth the $60 that they do charge, I can't say it's the same situation with the Wii, there's been a few good third party titles and of course the Nintendo games but you can't honestly believe there's only 3 good games for the XBOX 360. Forza, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto and more. If I'm missing any 360 owners please step in with them.

So there's a few non kiddy games, the problem with the Wii is the good titles in general are few and far between and the vast majority appeal more to a younger crowd and the few more mature games have had poor sales so most companies are winding down producing such games anymore for the Wii. There may be some non-kiddy games but the distribution is much different on the Wii vs. other consoles and for some people this distribution is a problem.

I got mine and I literally played it for about a month, and then I only played when my friends came over. I decided to sell it a week ago with an extra Wiimote and Nunchuk, Wiiplay, Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii which was enough to buy me a PS3 with MW2 and Madden 10. Best decision ever.

wii sucks... lack of good games...i bought this shit on accident...irrating gameplay horrid graphics and bad online multiplayer games that last under a month bad ports nad yea... least they have zelda and metroid (but they come out every 4 years) atleast im getting a ps3 some thing worth playing... and if some one still havent bought a next gen console buy a ps3 or 360 save ur money and dont buy the wii...(unless ur under 10)

I also don't care much about graphics as long as the quality of the game is good, but graphics ARE a nice thing to have. So in final... Wii = Only good if you like Nintendo games cause all the 3rd party games for it either suck or the controls are horrible, which is why I play on the Xbox more.

Of course MW2 isn't available for the Wii, it simply can't handle the graphics plus Infinity Ward has shown zero interest in bringing the Modern Warfare series to the Wii (the original Modern Warfare was ported to the Wii by Treyarch, IW wasn't involved).

I'm seriously getting worried about the Wii's future.
Nintendo are using the ''disruption'' marketing technique, which means they will start off with the kiddie games and eventually make more hardcore games. But ultimately they failed, I mean look at the piece of crap that is Mario Kart Wii, horrific controls and intolerable voice acting.
They should grab Mario by the neck, strap him in a chair and shoot him in the head next to Sonic.

@DarPower1 So we are basing the 360 being a bad console on one game. So ODST wasn't exactly the best value for the money, there's plenty of 360 games that are worth the $60 that they do charge, I can't say it's the same situation with the Wii, there's been a few good third party titles and of course the Nintendo games but you can't honestly believe there's only 3 good games for the XBOX 360. Forza, Gears of War, Grand Theft Auto and more. If I'm missing any 360 owners please step in with them.

@TheRivaside It's not quite that simple, for the RROD, Microsoft extends the standard XBOX 360 warranty to 3 years for this fault. So if your console is older than that, you won't get a repaired XBOX 360 and that brings up the other thing, Microsoft doesn't usually send you a brand spanking new XBOX 360 when you send in a broken console, they send you a refurbished one.

So there's a few non kiddy games, the problem with the Wii is the good titles in general are few and far between and the vast majority appeal more to a younger crowd and the few more mature games have had poor sales so most companies are winding down producing such games anymore for the Wii. There may be some non-kiddy games but the distribution is much different on the Wii vs. other consoles and for some people this distribution is a problem.

I got mine and I literally played it for about a month, and then I only played when my friends came over. I decided to sell it a week ago with an extra Wiimote and Nunchuk, Wiiplay, Brawl, and Mario Kart Wii which was enough to buy me a PS3 with MW2 and Madden 10. Best decision ever.

Or like the EyeToy did for the PlayStation 2 last generation, Wii's controls are not revolutionary in the least if the PS2 could do that last gen and both Microsoft and Sony can out do you with much less dorky control methods this gen. The Wii is nothing more than a souped up GameCube that is the poorest excuse for a next gen console in awhile.
