This song brings out so many emotions. The lyrics are so many things at once; grand, epic, nostalgic, I can't even find words adequate enough to describe them. It's about the missed chances in life we all come to regret. It's also about fighting to keep your dreams alive no matter what the cost. Reminds me of Simon and Garfunkel's "The Boxer" in a way.

I thought this sounded like a different studio recording set over the footage of the 1980 Capital Center concert posted other places on youtube. I was proved right in the last minute of the video. Where did you find this mix. It has a different vocal track by Seger and different background vocals. I like the mix.
