You're not fully correct there. Before 2008 Singapore had hoste a few Grands Prix on a streetcircuit but these were only of Formula 2 regulations.

It's normal width - what you experienced is the normal shock first-timers have when they realize how narrow F1 circuits are. The drivers are amazing racing at 300+ kph on narrow streets huh?

It's not that narrow like Monaco, it's narrowest part is Anderson Bridge, around 6m to 8m wide. There will be improvements this year to, including a wider track and more overtaking.

hi i'm 'K', Singaporean, 17yo. NOW F1! No offense but i think that the singapore government is turning this place,singapore into a disneyland for tourists. let me ask you locals, singaporeans! government have been removing old, memorable stuff(estate, hawkers etc...) to replace it with newer, taller and better buildings,i'm not saying that its bad but come on! most or in fact all older generations of singapore have memories of them! why cant you just leave it there for them to appreciate?!

Singapore has very little land space in case you didn't notice. Unless you want to continue riding on trishaws, shop at markets and not shopping centres, work in a shophouse and not for example, shenton way, I suggest you keep your mindless opinions to yourself. your country (malaysia) has the worst and most characterless circuit in all of formula 1. If there was one circuit i could drop it would be the malaysian GP. The "fans" dont give a shit about f1 and the circuit is terrible. Its only got a GP becuase of Petronas pumping money into Bernies pockets. So instead of slating Singapore who's night race might actually be interesting how about you look at your own country's contribution, or lack of, to F1.

Yeah, malasia is way too boring, i suggest Imola gets back on the calendar, now that's a race! Singapore gives me the impression that it is a circuit from GT4 or Grid, i think it would have been much better if the turn T19 to T22 had been replaced with a straight. But if theres is a building in the way i understand that turn. But many good european and south american circuits should get back on calendar, malaysia, baraihn and china is boring.
