Truly, folks use the words adaptation and evolution interchangeably. It's not incorrect to refer to rock & roll as an evolving art-form. I'm alluding to evolution as proposed by the Sumerians whereat unicellular entities evolve, over eons, into whales. No scientist needs to know anything about Darwinian/Sumerian evolutionary suppositions to carry out laboratory research, or to wield a scalpel. Find a cardiologist who's well versed in the subject.
