One of the reasons why they are buying into high-tec weapons is because they are trying to avoid colateral damage. They get screamed out and called murderers if one civilian dies in an attack so they are very careful on how they use their weapons.
I'd personally love to go back to B52 carpet bombing though... that was my favorite.

If the U.S. would have taken an older approach to this war it might be over by now. There was never a "front line". They raced in and set up bases and the enemy was free to move all around them. "Now if I can just get the generals on the phone!"

At any US base in the 'States, there are stadiums, restaurants, parade grounds, golf courses, and perfectly-manicured lawns EVERYWHERE.
These speak epics of how lazy, corrupt, ineffectual, and ignorant the US Armed Forces have become.
