Mikhail Gorbachev was a great example of a diplomat, he made ideolical concessions for the sake of peace and he once said "It is better to discuss things, to argue and engage in polemics than make perfidious plans of mutual destruction" words which William Hague should heed becase whenever there is even a minute chance for diplomacy to succeed it should be attempted. Filipino food is pork based so they serve such muslim friendly food such as pork basted in pig blood sauce, skewered roasted pig on a stick with crunchy skin and gravy sauce...duck fetus egg...pork sausage and my personal favorite pork peanut curry....
Heck to make it even muslim friendly, I will get a persian shia imam to bless the pork. LOL.
@cagelsthrough Something about Britain breaking off trade relations with the Iranian banking sector, accusing them of being part of Iran's nuclear program.
@cagelsthrough UK has always been most hated country in Iran, ever sinds1941 when britain invaded Iran for no reason, and also because of Operation Ajax (1953) when UK and US overthrown our elected civilian government. besides that Iran has a sovereign and independent attitude, on the other hand UK has an imperialistic and arrogant attitude, thus they often clash.
What a mess. A whole country of brainwashed zombies, manipulated by powermongering idiots and all intent of blaming the west for their problems. To think of all those lives wasted in fear and ignorance. Very sad.
And to think that Persia was the cradle of civilization....... How the mighty have fallen.
The people who attacked the embassy are not "college students"- unless the majority of Iranian college students are 40 year olds that look like they're physically fit enough to be in the army.
That is not a point: They are not over 40 and seem to be in a normal condition. Not all students are overweight, pale and pimply or baby faces with big glasses.
Better point: The regime observes the Iranian Internet. If 10 students decide to protest somewhere against the regime, police is there before the students. If 100.000 protest against the regime, police is able to disperse them.
But here some students could organize a protest in secret? Never.
Well, perhaps I was being a little too ridiculous- but I doubt the students of Iran staged this. I think this was government-promoted. And yes, if not promoted, certainly ignored.
Of course it was organized by the regime. You just cant tell this by looking at the protesters, but by the reactions of the regime. This is not how the regime deals with protests in general. They control the people very much. Students cant plan a protest without the regime knowing about it.
Well the Shah was a dictator but Iran had a strong economy and military in the ME...the Iraqis were fucking scared to attack Iran...the ayatollahs fucked up the country.
So the moral, never let stupid bumpkin peasants rule your country.
Khalq (A sunni/secular resistance group) were working to overthrow the Shah long before the Shi'ites stepped in. And they're still working against the Iranian government- but the US had the ridiculous idea of categorizing them as a terrorist organization since Iran happened to be a US ally in the invasions of Iraq.
It's pretty funny. The Iranian government switches sides faster than it can adjust to them. One minute it's helping kill Iraqis, then next, it's trying to lead them.
@LuckyDukeSeven you are comlitly wrong Shah was NOT a sunit Niether a Dictator.he was remouved by Carter complot to set a green belt around USSR and he planfd to say NO to all western intrestes(petrol)
The current Iranian government is stupid. Heck, it mostly had to due to radical Islam in their country. Heck Shah is evil but the current ones are more scarier.
Now i have to read crap comments about what the British have done to Iran in the past. Attacking an embassy isnt an atrocity its just stupid and sends a message that you dont want diplomacy. Stupid Iranians, and what is with all these internet hippies that aren't proud to live in such a rich and powerful country(US, UK etc) highlighting all the negatives and promoting conspiracies.
Even the Persians here in Canada know their current Iranian government is plain retarded. They add religion into every problem thus making one issue much more exaggerated and enormous support from the people is followed. Little do they know, they are much more vulnerable to a civil war now.
I would expect any country to react violently when they are repeatedly bullied into getting into debt and transferring their profits to western companies instead of to their people.
The world should open their eyes to the fact that Muslims are a violent people. They only understand and respect strong, and sometimes violent, authority. Look at the dictatorships in the middle, the last fifty years! That is why most Muslims embrace Sharia Law, like the Taliban. It is the only thing to keep them inline. Executions, beatings, murders, they understand those things. Their beliefs allow the to die, so they care little about life.
@TheSaintTheo Not true. Christian writing does not condone violence, except in immediate and extreme danger. The Bible speaks of peace and love. Even doing good to those who hate you. @agelessrocker yeah, just like zionist who believe they are the chosen people, the have to live in palestinian land because god promised them some 3000yeas ago.:)
@agelessrocker yeah right, and according to your logic, wherever you find Latin text, it was once part of Roman Empire and therefore we should give it to Italy. Fool. :)
@agelessrocker lol, i'm an atheist, you have more in common with the man who you make fun of, he wants his 12th imam & jesus you want only jesus christ. :)
All this and all that will happen until Iran gets a Rothschild controlled central bank. Lol when will these debt free, IMF and world bank free regimes get the message that they will never beat the corporations that run our world. Jeez the UK gave into that centuries ago and look at how clever we are! lmao!!!!! It is increasingly likely now that the corporations are moving to attack Persia really soon because if Iran gets a nuke who will stop them from supplying China with all that black gold?
What does the UK expect when they are in Iran and pushing to go to war with Iran for "suspected" nukes? The US and the UK have started sanctions which is an act of agression...so Iran has the right to toss anyone out that is going to start any violence in their country! Who the hell are we to tell the people of Iran what they can and cannot do on their own soil!
@TheNova1960 Under the Vienna conventions, an embassy is not on Iranian soil, it is on the soil of the nation it represents. That applies equally to all nations embassies, in all countries.
@aido92 From the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, to which Iran is a signatory.
Article 22. The premises of a diplomatic mission, such as an embassy, are inviolate and must not be entered by the host country, except by permission of the head of the mission. Furthermore, the host country must protect the mission from intrusion or damage. The host country must never search the premises, nor seize its documents or property.
@aido92 Do you honestly think the people in Iran care about technicalities with sanctions against them and the threat of war! Clearly, the British Ambassador in Iran should have used diplomacy to ward off getting kicked to the curb, but I will assume he followed directions given to him by the Prime Minister of the UK.
@TheNova1960 He would scarcely be an ambassador if he did otherwise than follow instructions from home! I wonder what you think his job is?
I don't expect the individual Iranian in the street to care, but I do expect their government to, and they are very stupid if they do not, as what is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander. Furthermore, they have just played straight into the hands of the neo-cons and assorted warmongers, who wish to portray them as a unstable, rogue state.
@aido92 I guess you don't like my sense of humor! I don't have to wonder what an Ambassador does for a living, but there are a lot of things he/she does behind the scenes that the public will never know about. Perhaps, the British came up with this little plan to begin with to give them a reason to get the Iranian Ambassordor booted from the UK? And, I don't like neo-cons or zionist!
@MrGangaheaD88 Are you thick? Do you think those numpties trashing an Embassy be it British or otherwise are the sum total of the people of Iran? Bet you live in the UK as well.
i think its like undercover police in london getting things "fired" up so the poor kids had the background scenery to steal from the high street shops without a conscious.
The Iranians still love to posture in petty ways like embassy attacks, even after all these years. Not that they accomplish anything more than the further alienation of the international community. I know I shouldn't care, but I still can't help but feel sorry for the innocent Irani people who suffer from the choices of their leadership.
@JustinYoelSkaat Is that really the best you anti-Westerners can do? Hey, why not take that misspelling and put it in a trophy case to show it off, and shove it up your arse while you're at it.
@UnclePutte i can tell you that UK has always been most hated country in iran, ever sinds1941 when britain invaded iran for no reason, and also because of Operation Ajax (1953) when UK and US overthrown our elected civilian government.
@UnclePutte Do you think the Iranians didn't know what the consequences of their actions would be? And mind you, the odds are that "innocent Irani people" support their government on this instance. No people on earth turns their back on the government when their country is being singled out for abuse and intimidation by meddlesome and self-entitled foreign powers.
i think that is fair enough, the iran government didn't handle the embassy security well enough for there to be any reason to risk keeping an embassy there. Iran should have said sorry to the UK for their lack of security, since they haven't they don't deserve proper diplomacy like most other countries.
@MiladMania yeah i saw something about that, typical of Reuters to instead of publishing the Iranian foreign ministry apologized and decided to investigate the problem, they publish that 'an' official blamed Britain for the embassy trashing. Unfortunately its in Britain's best interest to use this to their advantage in making Iran look like it's a rogue state which is dangerous and could cause harm if it ever had nuclear weapons.I'm not disagreeing about this point since the president is a loon.
@pammyoneto not sure how you came to this conclusion, do you mean blaming the UK for western propaganda or for the embassy trashing? In both instances I haven't blamed the UK, I merely suggested it will serve a lot of long term interests in declaring war against Iran.
@pammyoneto not sure how you came to this conclusion, do you mean blaming the UK for western propaganda or for the embassy trashing? In both instances I haven't blamed the UK, I merely suggested it will serve a lot of long term interests in declaring war against Iran.
