  • Beautiful

  • Cool video with awesome background. Aircraft departing on 19 must turn left immediately after takeoff to avoid flying over the town.

  • pause at 0:17 and take a look how BEAUTIFUL that is!

  • why the music, here the deal, your not a rock star,9 o21 o, Tv, Utube, take a deep breath and look in your future, IE retirment, investment.

  • early flight to Dallas?

  • true story no type 4 permited

  • beautiful! my favorite airport.

  • what a lovly plane :D

  • Impressive capture!!

    auto 5*****!!

  • Very Nice!

  • wow!! this is so beautifully airplane in snow covered ground! those white smoke coming out from behind with the winglet installed in the each wing ends and takes off, right away, its angled to the left, amazing video

  • Really beautifull sighting!!!

  • winglets!!

  • Awesome video!!!

  • Kip Attaway has a song about this airport. Called "God Bless Jackson"

So just fasten your seatbelt and.........

  • interesting to note that Jackson Hole airport prohibits the use of anti-ice due to its vicinity to the national park

  • Do you have a source for that info? I'm quite sure it is incorrect.

KJAC is the ONLY commercial airport located inside a U.S. national park.

  • Any pics of the 320 in the snow bank?

  • @jmaugham I'm not sure where I got that information from, I'm trying to find the source. If I recall, they can only use hot water to de-ice. I'll try to find the source. :)

  • @xgunther I know they allow De-Ice (seen it, gotten it), type I, but *perhaps* they have a restriction on type IV anti-ice because it shears off during/after rotation. That I don't know.

  • @jmaugham They don't allow an industry standard de-icing mixture (IV). And I believe you're right, it sheers off on take off right into the national park, and is pretty toxic stuff. I also know for a fact that they don't allow de-icing of the runway and taxiways. I'll find the source darn it!! ;)

  • @xgunther Technically type IV is "anti-ice" not "de-ice" but what you're saying makes sense. Never heard it before, that's all.

  • @jmaugham anti-ice is what I meant. Sorry.

  • @xgunther that would be extremely dangerous, and most likely illegal.

  • @xgunther did you really type that?

  • Wow that is an amazing takeoff... and I've seen a lot of takeoffs.

  • Why is he turning left the moment he lifts off the runway?

There doesn't seem to be any mountains ahead.

  • There is high terrain all around the airport, and taking off of runway 19 puts you right over town. Tower probably asked him to turn left for noise abatement over town.

    Plus, it's FUN!

  • Ive never seen winglets on a 757

  • They were not very common until about a year ago. Now almost every carrier has them.

  • On JAC 6400ft runway & that Alt. I bet they help. Cool Thanks!

  • I think they are cexy, the 767 is getting winglets soon, American Airlines will be the first airline to have them.

  • caution wake turbulence and snow storm from just departed heavy 757
