  • When it comes down to the 'Chap-Hop' side of things the Professor wins hands down as all his songs are original and of the same genre. Mr.B sings alot of covers and the rest are just random songs of various genres.

  • Professor Elemental has no actual character and puts so little effort in that he may as well be in fancy dress. Thats why mr b has the crown. He has the whole package. Long Live Mr B!!

  • I love both these guys. Great show.

  • Know one won the battle because their both such gentleman, that was the point.

  • Considering that only a couple of the Professor's lines were shown, anyone can judge that Mr. B won. Unless this is all that there was of the chap-off, this video is very favourable to Mr. B and an unfair approximation of their skills.

  • @dagniranum You're right, it's a conspiracy.

  • @TetsugakuSan Never said it was a conspiracy, just unfairly balanced towards Mr. B.

  • Mr. B blatantly won.

  • @hyperstat3 but only in this part of the video, it has been specificaly cut in Mr B's favor

  • they love eachother really.....

  • Both have talent, but Professor Elemental is a significantly better entertainer in most aspects. That said, Mr B in my humble opinion performed better in this Chap Off...

  • I'm definently for Professor Elemental <3 lol

  • Is there any chance of arrangements being made for people to gain access to the entire video? Those of us with continents and/or oceans in the way would still like to see what happened.

  • @Blackfyr Sorry you'll still have to try and catch them live some day - I didn't shoot the footage with the intention of ever doing this, so all of the bits worth watching are already in here!

  • Hehehehe boobs :3

  • I love that Mr. B seems to be wearing Adidas shoes |D

  • chaps this is amazing! and for all those idiots going on about "in real hip hop blah blah blah" get a life and some education as this is clearly satire, if you can not work that out for yourself, then you do not really deserve to be aloud on youtube

  • @veltmore1 this needs to stop ...they would get crushed in a real battle

  • @oraclethought HOW DARE YOU! This is Chap-Hop not filthy hip hop!

  • @oraclethought Yeah, no gimmicks in hip hop. None. Never.

  • @veltmore1 I'd say that most, if not all popular mainstream hiphop is a gimmick, especially the so called "gangsta-rap".

  • @oraclethought I'll get a banjo and show you where to stick it

  • Wow steAmpunk hiphop now this is a true sub genre

  • 2:50 ....... just hilarious !!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you SO much for sharing this! I am unfortunately on the wrong side of the pond to have caught the big battle, I was glad to see the Professor at the Steampunk World's Fair, though.

This gave me a much-needed laugh at work!

  • Politest argument in history.

  • it all depends on venue. typical venues mr.B probably will have a higher popularity rating. Any chance of a steampunk invasion? the professor's cheering will drown mr b out!

  • Where can we actually catch their shows? Do they still perform? :3

  • @larasemogal they do - check both the websites linked at the end of the vid

  • @TetsugakuSan Ahh, thank you :)

  • @larasemogal I got to see Mr. B at the Scala in London at an awards show we were both involved in. Unfortunately it was only 3 songs, but we got to hang out with him and his wife during the sound check and after our performances. they are some of the nicest people you'll ever meet, and he puts on a great show.

  • Electro Banjo <3

  • DIE Mr.B!!!!!!! RAWR.

  • I am an Elemental man, he is the best by far XD

  • Mr B is no gentleman. Gentlemen don't wear flat caps with blazers x3

  • From the funny way they interact, and how their lines seem to be mostly rehearsed, I'm guessing they're cool in real life and its all in good fun. Good show.

  • Darn it , I wish I could have seen them. They look great, especially Elemental.

  • Mr B did a lot better, not going to lie.

  • "I have two score and nineteen dilemmas but a wench cannot be counted amongst them."

  • @whynaut1 I enjoy bulbous posteriors and i cannot utter a mistruth, my brethren cannot deny.

  • @HLecterPHD Makes me think of a shirt I saw that said "It ain't ALL bustle, honey."

  • I'm an Elemental man, but Mr B won this round - rematch chaps, rematch!

  • no you can't, yes i can! no you can't! yes i can!! no you can't!! yes i bloody well can!!! xD

  • gotta love it!

  • so pissed to have missed this, hope they do it again

  • Both Prof. Elemental and Mr. B are both good, but Mr. B won this! :D

  • <3 Prof. Elemental!!

  • What's the tune in the intro?

  • @PopeBarley Cheekily used straight from iMovie on my Mac, plenty of free music on there!

  • @TetsugakuSan Do you know the name of it?

  • @PopeBarley Haven;t even got iMovie on my Mac at the mo so no sorry, sure you'd be able to trawl through iMovie pretty quickly to find it though :)

  • Good show.

  • "Battle of the Sherlock Holm-ies"

  • Also, the Professor's tartan Jodhpurs are awesome.

  • Am I the only one who instantly recognized Louise Brooks at 1:04?

  • I believe the Universe will never be the same after this.

    :)

  • So even chap-hop has fighting (well, name calling...sort of) and drama...

  • What editing? from about 3:14 its mostly the same clip

and no. it does not make mr. B seem better. He is better.

p.e 's like slicky cut modern rhymes. B's got poise and poetry "you shadow box as if its my shadow you chase.../2 class

  • This is clearly edited to make Mr. B look better. I don't for one second believe that Professor Elemental only had three disses ready to go. It makes me wonder what really happened out there, that someone felt they needed to weight this so strongly towards the pinstriped vaudeville act.

  • "all the editing"? what "editing"? I had some bits and pieces of footage I took on the night and after checking with the chaps involved I threaded them together into a single narrative, they didn't want the whole thing up and I never recorded the whole thing. People should go see their live shows to get a full length taster :)

  • Didn't need all the editing. Took meaning away from the original footage.

  • Music wise, I'd say Prof Elemental has the edge (he has a point re: Mr B's covers-based approach), but in this battle Mr B really did well. That Nick Clegg flip was classy. Oh and of course feel free to check out my stuff (not chap-hop, but it is coming straight out of Surrey!)

  • @MullinsTheRapper having said all that, i must say i saw a couple of original songs by mr b that really impressed. i think the problem with elemental is he's half way between his old menagerie days hip hop, and chap hop, whereas mr b is full-on chap hop.

  • @MullinsTheRapper they're both brilliant though and im going to stop commenting now!

  • Bet george formby is waiting for the mp3 download of these two leg-ends! Brilliant!

  • If you thought Mr. B had the upper hand you're all crazy,

the chap is goudy, boring and his style is lazy

  • OMG!!! So awesome!

  • Good lord! Such a clash of rhymers... so shaken I came close to spilling my port.

  • Good show old chaps!

  • Good show from both of you sirs, but I have to admit Mr. B did look to have the upper hand throughout.

  • @Nihtgenga1990 By not stopping talking? If so then all those fat nerdy kids in my school were TRULY overpowering the bullys beating their heads in?

  • The Nick Clegg line was awesome!

  • Splendid!

  • What? What? Eh? Nobody told me this was on.

I pop off to the colonies for a quick G 'n' T jaunt and on my return I found that I have missed the duel of the decade.

Bounders the lot of you. hell and damnation, is there to be a rematch?

  • By George that was the most preposterously astonishing piece of rhyming I've seen in ages! Good show, gentlemen!

  • Mr B took Professor Elemental to the cleaners

  • Chap rap? That's what it's called? SPLENDID!

  • @ElveeKaye usually, Chap Hop :)

  • who won ????

  • Myself I'm no great fan of hip hop , as you will see by my tag. However, Mr B and Elemental I'll salute with the flag.

  • I love them both and hope we get to see more of this on the internet!

  • Where can we see the full footage of this?

  • @photoben this is the full footage I'm afraid, if you want to see more you'll need to catch their live shows!

  • im glad they did this, there both excelent in different ways and should be using this "rivalry" to increase both there fan base :?)

  • Jolly good show, what!

  • Mr B totally owned him!

  • I love The Professor, but I have to give it to Mr. B. But I also think his was too good to be freestyle;-) Bravo!

  • How anyone could argue that Mr B did not boss that, I will never know. Despatched.

  • Apparently they ended by going off for tea and cakes.

    Really, I'm not kidding.

  • Those are the sexiest Fighting Trousers I've ever seen. Well done Professor!

  • Comment removed

  • Looks like MR B. The Gentleman Rhymer tore Professor Elemental a new one. I think Elemental is just a poser trying to ride on the popularity of the Steam Punks.

  • @bentpipe90 Looks like this was edited by someone who liked Mr. B, as the good Professor did not get equal time...

  • @katydidmama this was all the footage I had I'm afraid, was busy trying to enjoy the gig.

Elemental is a better rapper, Mr B plays the crowd better.

  • Splendid!

  • Two gentlemen parade themselves upon this flimsy stage

Pretending anger ,disrespect, forfeigning righteous rage

But we know they doth protest too much

    Their fans can all relax,

This dis-off shows the upper class

    Always paper over cracks

Gentleman B sneers loftily as his foe draws on his pipe

Then wades right in with knowing grin, Elemental's talking tripe!

With vicious bile and sarcasm, using plangent metaphor

From the very opening salvo the Professors shown tthe door

  • Mr. B finds himself stuck with an initial, the Professor slapped his name off like the down off a thistle.

  • This Is The Best Thing Ever.

  • Mr B!!!

  • PROFESSOR ELEMENTAL!

  • On this evidence I'd hand it to Mr B.

  • Mr B, the alpha chap.

  • Mr B rhymes well but his stuff is rather dull - The Professors rhymes encapsulate the spirit that built an empire!

  • @Gord471 And how does that empire fair today, my good sir?

  • Mr.B's the best. That's final!

  • its all about mr b, he is a legend and the one and only. he is a gentleman.... elemental is just a man in a stupid hat! but still good game lads.... good game!

  • I love the music of both chaps immensely. I still stand behind Mr B on the whole, but both are marvellous and talented fellows. Now they've done the feud thing, here's hoping a collaboration comes next.

  • Jolly good show!

  • Both game fellows I must say, and proper gentlemen too

  • @freshlysqueezedmusic Though you'd never see a chap-hop "popping a cap" in another chap's arse.

  • @leapoffaith20 Most certainly not, Queensbury rules good sir.

  • What, what Professor Elemental.

    Get it Sir!

  • So glad that this actually happened.

    Chars, Gentlemen!

  • Well, from those clips, Mr B is clearly the better man.

  • get in mr b

  • Jolly fine show chaps - excellent to see that things were kept in good spirits (gin, presumably).

  • Excellent - I have to see them!

  • I love you guys!

  • Thanks for posting this, very disappointed to have missed the gig of decade.

  • Bahahaha, "Anything You Can Do I Can Do Better" remix is awesome.
