You could also have used the magnets from a used shower curtain instead of expensive ones - their a pretty good size, but small enough to fit inside a bottle cap, they're relativley strong, and pretty fuckin cheap - you can get a clear shower curtain at dollar stores for...you guessed it! A dollar! All you gotta do is cut them out of the plastic with a pair of scissors once your done with the curtain. =P

Good point. I didn't even think of that, because we have one of those showers with a door, not a curtain. But that's also a really good idea!

I think it would depend on how sharp the edges were, I wouldn't want to cut myself every time I brushed against an edge.

I'm thinking about doing it, and if I do I'm just going to frame it. I know where I can get free wood. I figure I basically make the frame, paint it black and then just staple it to the metal. Give it to whomever. I just need the metal now. I know where there is some behind a shed I can steal.

Hell yes. Love this idea. Take a picture and send it to us if you have the means to do so, I'd love to see how it turns out framed (and to know if the staples work. We really should invest in a staple gun again....).
