@deanbigstar Yes, unfortunately there are no longer enough connoisseurs of music and most people just listen to what is popular and not what is good. Her music makes people think, and most people loathe thinking.
WOW! I don't know how she does it, but every one of her songs makes me love her even more!!! She may not be as famous as that Beiber fuck or all these stupid musical hacks, but she is a gift from above. She is uber talented, and I hope she knows her fans (like me) adore her SO MUCH!!!!

seems unlikely that there would still be an audience for this type of music... i dont see her getting very far unfortunately, unless she changes it up
This is good... yall need to hear this cat Vthov. Search "Vthov Let Me Clear My Throat" and you'll see what I'm talking about. He's a nobody now, but he's gonna blow up with talent like that. If I'm lyin I'm flyin.
And you'll always be a nobody, vthov, if you keep up these practices. I don't know how many of these I've removed. This one I'll leave up, so everyone can get a load of your shitty videos and your hard to pronounce name.
Nelli Mckay is the style and sound of yesteryear, with the stinging witty wordiness of today. She blends the best of all eras together perfectly, and while taping into various genres, she manages to still be refreshingly original!
No doubt though, she was definitely influenced by broadway, and the musicals of the past. And, kudos to her, for giving that fabulous flavor a fresh voice (and adorable face ^_^)! Not to mention the Brooklyn Philharmonic (sp?). Thier music leaves me enchanted <3

@spike10 same questions as dean. Also are you just basing it on this or on all of her stuff?

Great assessment of her appeal. I also like that she and her orchestra seem to care about how they look to an audience.

at 2:18 doesn't Paul come in early? He should so be fired already. Let him banter, but his musical directing is poor, yo.

Not one of my favorites from that CD, but still a good performance. Wish I lived in New York so I could go to that show.
