Nelli Mckay is the style and sound of yesteryear, with the stinging witty wordiness of today. She blends the best of all eras together perfectly, and while taping into various genres, she manages to still be refreshingly original!
No doubt though, she was definitely influenced by broadway, and the musicals of the past. And, kudos to her, for giving that fabulous flavor a fresh voice (and adorable face ^_^)! Not to mention the Brooklyn Philharmonic (sp?). Thier music leaves me enchanted <3
I first heard her on the radio singing "Identity Theft" and I couldn't believe how fast she was singing! She is a lot of talent and she is one of my favorite singers. Not only do I like her singing, the topics of her songs are very clever and attract a lot of attention. I know I enjoy them.
