  • How did you make the recording of the flight?

  • I just got a 7C, don't understand it at all.Do you know if it has a crow function for the Radian Pro?You look pretty high - how do you orientate?I'm always scared I won't recover when the plane is a silhouette, as I can't work out where it is going!

  • The vid is from hobbywireless, I guess they are the same. all come from one source anyway.

  • is this system from hobbyking?

  • @danielderbruchpilot

I had the patch 11db antenna. I would recommend the 8db if not using the tracking antenna because higher db, more directional it needs to be. Multipath is a problem sometimes. I cannot use the 900mhz where I fly, too many interference.

  • This video was taken with 11dbi patch antenna. I also have the 900mgz video, Iproblem with loosing video so I gave up and went with 5.8ghz 200mW. I now use the tracking system with it and went as far as 1.7miles @ 1000' up. I have the video but haven't posted it. FYI, 1.7 miles was possible because of tracking system, the further you go, the narrow path it gets. I build and sell the system. Thanks.

  • Was this flight with the stock antena on the video receiver. And have you tried a patch antena i was wandering because i have a 200mw 5.8ghz transmitter that i have not tested yet. But i have a 8dbi patch antena for the receiver. I know this frequency is affected more from multipath interference. And was wandering how it would compare to my 900mhz 500mw video transmitter which works well with oracle diversity and two 8dbi patch antenas. The 900mhz hade some video dropouts with only one antena.

  • great video! just asking what is the range on your video transmitter?

    thanks

  • @century750

It varies on the weather and stuff around the fly-zone, I have tried 2.4Ghz, & 900Mgz systems and this seems to be the best so far. I believe it can TX about 1.5 miles with a patch antenna.
