For about a month now, the Scientologists and other volunteers have been making personal sacrifices and helping Haiti recover from disaster. Meanwhile, other people have been staying home and spreading hate-spam about the volunteers. Pretty easy to see who the good guys are.
Today the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Corps was recognized by the Georgia Senate for their Haiti disaster response actions! Georgia Senate Resolution 998, passed on February 8, 2010, states:
10 LC 94 2070
Senate Resolution 998
By: Senators James of the 35th, Tate of the 38th and Seay of the 34th
This past week the first Scientology Volunteer Minister teams from Mexico, Russia and the United Kingdom arrived and replaced some of the American volunteer units who had been there for the last three weeks.
In total more than 12,200 people were reached with help this week, including 4,674 served with food and water, and care given to about 2,300 injured people.
THANK YOU TO ALL THE SCIENTOLOGY VOLUNTEER MINISTERS AND EVERYONE ELSE WHO'S HELPING IN HAITI.
PS. If you can't fly down and help, then donate to those organizations who are helping. They say they need supplies or money for all the homeless without shelter or food.
In The News: Religions come together united in their efforts to help the Haitians!
"The earthquake has brought an outpouring of response from religious communities.
Leaders say faith commands them to help and when disaster hits, theological differences go out the door.
Those working on relief include Scientologists, who flew a group from Miami to Port-au-Prince last week, and Mormons and Muslims, who have teamed to send supplies."
Help the volunteer teams in your area; the Red Cross, Church groups, the military organizations, celebrity groups who are helping. The more help up front, the faster we'll get this huge job done.
The Prime Minister of Haiti is welcoming and appreciative of all the help that volunteers are giving.
If you can't get down there and help which many of us can't, contribute so that others we'll have the supplies or food they need to do the job.
Scientology Volunteer ministers are there to help. As a Scientology VM I've worked side by the with the Red Cross and Christian groups during California floods. Believe me, in any disaster all help is valued and we all appreciate each other and work as a team.
Other than the Scientology volunteer ministers already in Haiti helping people prior to the earthquake, our church sent 2 more planeloads of medicos (80 plus doctors) nurses and volunteers.
opencomments - you are dramatizing the essence of "hate" towards we the people of a different religion (than you). A religion of which you have no real understanding. I'll put my 42 years of actual understanding of Scientology up against your "no understanding of it" in a heartbeat.
Don't you see what is happening in the Middle East? Don't you know why this country was founded on "freedom of religion"? You have no affinity for anyone in my religion and your aims are not honorable at all.
Who said anything about hating people of a different religion? No, that's not it at all. We are opposed to the policies within the Scientology management. Why should an organization dictate who their members can or cannot see? Why should an organization pressure a pregnant woman in the Sea Org to have an abortion? What do the events in the Middle East have to do with the abuses within Scientology?
No one believes your goofy little group hidden behind Halloween masks or internet, skulking around trying to harass our church members for helping people, just because you don't help others.
Problems one encounters in life are often due to lack of communication skills and it's apparent that your pathetic group revels in bad communication. MOST likely why you're in trouble.

Having used Scientology technology to help others achieve their goals in life or help them alleviate problems they've had for forty years, I know it all works.
So, if you've never had the privilege of helping others before because you didn't know exactly what to do, then find out more about becoming a Scientology volunteer minister. It's very rewarding work.

No thanks. That isn't help, it's enslavement. People are not "lost" because they don't belong to a criminal cult thought up by a delusional science fiction writer. We're free. And the sane among us don't need your "help".
The voices against $cientology are getting louder and LOUDER and more numerous. And you cannot stop the inevitable collapse of your corrupt organization.
Astra Woodcraft, ex-Sea Org member, told of being very young and having come down with a bad flu. As she lay feverish and alone she begged for a mother who refused to be by her daughter's side because she had important work to do for the Church. Astra, too young to understand how clearing a planet could take precedent over her need to be comforted by her mother, was forced to endure terrible hardships that celebrity adherents of Scientology wouldn't DARE dream of imposing on their own families.

The Scientology volunteer minister teams, in coordination with other relief organizations, are distributing water, food and medical supplies and providing a wide range of services to support the medical professionals.
A Scientology Volunteer Minister who is a certified midwife has delivered two babies in Port-au-Prince. Others are providing trauma relief and grief counseling to relief workers and survivors of the quake.
The French government is prosecuting Scientology for commercial fraud and the illegal practice of medicine. The German government considers Scientology to be a totalitarian, fascist political movement that is a danger to the democratic state. It also believes that Scientology is a criminal organization that engages in psycho-terror, money laundering and other forms of commercial fraud and extortion.
Clear Cognition: You mocked up your reactive mind.<= Correct or the utterance of some version of this. In my case I wrote I could "SEE" this person's reactive mind."
The trigger for the OT8 cognition is the line "the Pilot says: I'm mocking this up"
I thought this line came from the pilot flying the "cargo" of Marcabians to Teegeeack on the OTIII Incident II
And LRH did try to dazzle one & keep forking over your money, as opposed to being outraged and demanding a full refund.
More recently, the Church of Scientology itself was convicted in Canada and elsewhere for similar criminal conduct. Currently, the Scientology conglomerate is being criminally prosecuted in both Belgium and France. The government of Belgium is prosecuting Scientology on charges of extortion, fraud, organized crime, obstruction of medical practice, illegal medical practice, invasion of privacy, conspiracy and corporate violations.
Amazingly, the United States government already has voluminous evidence of Scientology criminal conduct. On July 7, 1977, the F.B.I. raided the Church of Scientology in Washington, D.C. and Los Angeles, California. Over 48,000 incriminating documents were seized and eleven Church of Scientology leaders were convicted of the largest ever-known criminal infiltration and burglary of the United States government. Scientology had code named this massive crime Operation Snow White.

"Volunteers," yes; NOT "$ci Volunteer Ministers." When someone realizes what u're doing there & how $cn, Bridge Publications & David Miscavige are profiting from the suffering of the Haitian people, it'll be YET ANOTHER *foot bullet* on the long list of recent foot bullets from the cult.
I donated some money, canned goods, clothes & toys but why hasn't the 'Church' of $cientology given a penny to the Haitian relief effort? All DM did was call for members to donate to the IAS.

SCIENTOLOGY is a CRIMINAL MIND CONTROL MONEY CULT that was FABRICATED by a penniless, drug addicted wife beating tax cheater named L. Ron Hubbard and is now run by a violent alcoholic dwarf named DAVID MISCAVIGE, whom apparently beats his staff and humiliates people for his own amusement.
The Church of Scientology provides no money towards the victims in Haiti. None. Not one penny. The church supplies no food, no water, no medicine, no building materials, no personnel, no expertise, nothing for Haiti.
But they claim, in their press releases, that their Volunteer Ministers are "a major relief agency" helping in Haiti. If they do nothing, how can they claim this?
John Travolta supplied an airplane, not the church. Individual Scientologists volunteered to go using their own money. As usual, the Church of Scientology did nothing.
Along with a few untrained Scientology "Volunteer Ministers", Travolta offered a lift to health-care workers from the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad and from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Those other non-Scientology groups were sending trained medical personnel & the Scientologists were completely untrained. And yet, in a most disgusting bit of lying, the Church of Scientology is actually claiming they sent the medical personnel!
As is usual, the Church of Scientology volunteers showed up at the disaster without food, without medicine, without supplies, without equipment, without shelter, without expertise -- so they are a burden on resources already stretched very, very thin.
As is usual, the Volunteer Ministers make the situation worse by requiring food and shelter that should be going to the victims!
But they have bright yellow t shirts that show up well for the Church of Scientology photographer! Yes, while the Volunteer Ministers are useless to real relief agencies, they are very useful to the Church of Scientology's PR department.
But, as disgusting as all this is, the Church of Scientology's response to this disaster is much, much worse.
The Church of Scientology is officially urging all Scientologists to "help Haiti by giving to the IAS (International Association of Scientologists)". Not to any legitimate relief agency. No, Scientologists must help Haiti by "giving to the IAS"
And the IAS has not ever given a penny to any disaster relief effort. The IAS will never give a penny to any disaster relief. The money goes to David Miscavige. Period. Last I checked, David Miscavige wasn't in Haiti and didn't need any assistance.
Yes, the Church of Scientology is using the Haiti disaster to make money! They are profiting on human suffering!
But wait, there is more!
Bridge Publications, the publisher of Scientology books, is urging Scientologists to buy Scientology books to "send to Haiti"! Scientologists are not being urged to pay for food or water or medicine or shelter for Haiti. No, they are being urged to pay for Scientology books to Haiti!
But get this: Bridge Publications is charging full price for these donated books, meaning Bridge Publications is making full profit on all the books. They are profiting on human suffering!
Further, judging by how Bridge Publications handles donated books (Library Program, Mission Starter Program), those donated books will never be shipped. Of course the books are useless to Haitians, but it is highly likely that Bridge Publications will simply keep all the money. Profit!
Yes, the Church of Scientology has reacted quickly and decisively on the Haitian disaster -- they are making millions of dollars of profit, generating many nice press releases for the church, without having to spend a single penny, nor actually help anyone.
All decent people, including Scientologists, should add their voice to absolutely condemn the Church of Scientology for their disgusting greed in the face of such human suffering.
'75 million years ago, there was an alien galactic ruler named Xenu who was in charge of 76 planets in our sector of the galaxy, including planet Earth, whose name at that time was Teegeeack' This is part of the Scientology belief system. I guess some people will believe anything.

Sea Org members are not permitted to have children while working for the organization. Couples who get pregnant are either pressured to abort the baby, or they must leave. Often, these people have been in the Sea Org so long, they have nowhere to go, no resume outside of Scientology, no job experience, no finances, no property, and no non-Scientology friends.
THANK YOU FOR HELPING IN HAITI SCIENTOLOGY VOLUNTEER MINISTERS!

The Scientology Volunteer Ministers Corps is a program of the Church of Scientology providing disaster relief and emergency response. Created more than 30 years ago by Scientology Founder L. Ron Hubbard, the program has expanded to 203,000 Volunteer Ministers worldwide who have served at 175 worst-case disaster sites, including Ground Zero after 9/11, the Southeast Asia tsunami, Hurricane Katrina and the Haiti earthquake disaster.
Volunteer Ministers have trained and partnered with more than 800 different groups, organizations and agencies including the Red Cross, FEMA, the National Guard, and police and fire departments aand are active members of VOAD (Volunteer Organizations Active in Disasters. The Volunteer Ministers Corps motto is Something can be done about it.
"One major survey of American religion shows Scientology declining in the U.S., however. The estimated number of Americans who identify as Scientologists rose from 45,000 in 1990 to 55,000 in 2001, then plummeted to 25,000 in 2008, according to the American Religion Identification Survey." - The Associated Press: Defections, court fights test Scientology, November 1 2009
AMAZING WORK DONE BY SCIENTOLOGY VOLUNTEER MINISTERS (also many nurses and doctors who are also Scientology Volunteer Ministers have come to help in Haiti). Here's just one of the numerous stories coming from "the front" in Port Au Prince where Scientologists are helping. See below.
The Haiti earthquake of January 12 killed over 200,000 and left an estimated 300,000 injured and needing treatment. Ayal, a licensed practical nurse, EMT and Scientology Volunteer Minister, arrived in Haiti on January 22. A veteran of disaster response, he served at Ground Zero after 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, but other disasters paled beside what he saw when he first got to the Port-au-Prince General Hospital.
In one surgery where he was assisting they missing vital equipment and Ayal used a Leatherman as a clamp to stop a young woman's abdominal bleeding which kept her alive long enough to get her moved to the USS Comfort where she could get the help she needed.
For the past twelve days Ayal and his team have been caring for 50 and 300 patients a night, often pulling 20 hour shifts. The wards are now clean and well lit, and staffed day and night.
"ENEMY SP Order. Fair game. May be deprived of property or injured by any means by any Scientologist without any discipline of the Scientologist. May be tricked, sued or lied to or destroyed." - L. Ron Hubbard, Hubbard Communications Office Policy Letter, 18 October 1967 [SP = Suppressive Person a.k.a. critic of Scientology]
For the Church of Scientology to promote that it is okay to do harm to those they deem critical of Scientology? This organization is corrupt and sinister.
Having used Scientology for 42 years to help others achieve their goals in life or help alleviate problems they have had, I know it works and works well.
So, if you've never had the privilege of helping others before because you didn't know exactly what to do, then find out more about becoming a Scientology volunteer minister. It's very rewarding work as you can see by all the great videos and news reports.
Your 5 comments were auto-marked as SPAM by YT for you keep on repeating the same old tired -AND UNTRUE- story.
There are many ppl & organizations TRULY helping down in Haiti & none have ANYTHING to do with $cientology but David Miscavige will call them all "volunteers" and count them as his own & a $cn FALSE statistic on one of his gaudy "self-aggrandizing" events.
The disaster relief effort has nothing to do with $cientology which is only there for PR reasons & a photo op.

I'm proud that I've worked as a VM in the floods in California. It's hard work, but the help you give to the people is worth every bit of the work.
To hate-mongers: No one believes your group which hides behind goofy Halloween masks, skulk outside our church trying to harass church members all because, bottom line, you have different religious beliefs.
Problems one encounters in life are often due to lack of communication skills. It is very apparent that this pathetic little Halloween group revels in bad communication, and is MOST likely what got you in trouble in the first place.
Moreover, OC, on another aspect of the cult, if $cientology had its way & managed to succeed -highly unlikely at this pt. or in the future- its fascist & retrograde policies & ways would "do away quietly and without sorrow" with all our modern civilized concepts of liberty & justice & in its stead you'd see, almost immediately, thousands, if not hundreds of thousands of men & women with tattered clothes & gray armbands, to mark them as those whose views opposed the cult's rigid & absurd dogma.
"Did you ever read poor old George Orwell's uh.. 1984? Yes, yes, that's wonderful. That would be, could be, the palest imagined shadow of what a world would be like under the rule of the secret use of Scientology with no remedy in existence." - L. Ron Hubbard, Philadelphia Doctorate Course Tape 20
And this is in L. Ron Hubbard's own voice! Video proof here: watch?v=OIAQpJe0MA0
Scientology is not a religion; it's a hypnotherapy technique of dubious efficacy that claims to be a religion in order to shield itself from taxation, criticism and scientific scrutiny.
No major religion coerces its members to pay for religious services. Scientology requires its members to pay "fixed donations" for any service. Staff members aggressively try to convince other Scientologists to purchase services in a practice known as "hard regging". Furthermore, staff and Sea Org members are often recruited with the promise of free services, but required to do nearly unpaid work for the organization in exchange, and will be billed for a "freeloader debt" if they leave.
The truth is $cientology CHARGES huge amounts of money for "salvation." This, in itself, reeks of a SCAM.
If $cn is trying to save mankind or "clear the planet" as their battle-cry goes; why do they make it nearly impossible for the majority of the world to have access to their wonderful "technology" by, again, CHARGING, hundreds of thousands of dollars to attain to their lofty states of Clear & OT?
Fixed or "rigged" donations is a subterfuge to avoid taxation, plain & simple.
Scientology's crime is against humanity. If the Church of Scientology has the answer to our souls, to end war, to find inner peace, and to end famine and disease, they are CRIMINAL for not sharing this info freely; even if it's by levels!
Share your TRUTH without cost or servitude, Scientology.
Furthermore, in all the yrs I was "in" and/or bamboozled by the cult, even when I felt I was doing the right thing and $cientology was THE ONLY HOPE FOR MANKIND, did I feel like I was making a "donation."
Every penny I "spent" on all courses and/or "counseling" I received felt, and in deed were, a 'charge,' a 'fee' for the courses & sessions; a 'price,' if you will. But, of course, if you charged "prices" you could not well call your endeavors religious or be seen as a religion.
And, of course, what most Scientologists don't know at the time they sign for these "FREE" 'services' for which they'll be billed later should they "break the organization contract" to slave away for the scam cult at much lower than minimum wages, is that this so called "freeloader debt" is not only unenforceable but illegal in many states, as well.
They are experts at both dangling the carrot of "total spiritual freedom" and wielding the club they hold over their heads, in this & other ways.

Scientology is the only hope for mankind. We are the authorities of the mind, we are the only ones who can create a new and better reality. So many SPs are stuck on their timetrack in electronic incidents and only we can help. I am an OVTIII, the highest level in Scientology, I should know.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers report that the most common problem in the hospital is gangrene that sets in when injuries remain untreated for days and days, as happened after the quake. The only solution is to cut those limbs off. A lot of young Haitians will grow up using wheel chairs or crutches. We can save their lives and ease their pain on an immediate basis but we can also help them create a new future for their country -- and we will.

"By the time we arrived in Haiti, after a stopover in Miami, we had missed three landing slots at the airport. Aid agencies — genuine aid agencies — from other countries were being turned away, refused permission to land. But we still got a slot straight away. The guy who ran our charter seemed to think that the Scientologists had some real influence with the US Government, who were assigning the slots." - Gawker, Scientologists in Haiti, a first hand account
"I asked another guy what he'd packed and he said he hadn't bothered to bring soap or toilet paper or food, but that he'd just "buy whatever I need at Port-au-Prince airport." I couldn't break it to him.
They had no place to stay, and no supplies — their idea was to use the ton of money they had to buy food to distribute when they got there. But there was no food and no water. That was the point...." - Gawker, Scientologists in Haiti, a first hand account.
"I knew we were traveling with doctors and EMTs, but I didn't expect to see 50 scientologists, in their yellow shirts with Volunteer Minister on them. They were completely unprepared for going to a third world country, let alone a disaster zone. One girl was in designer cowboy boots. I asked her if she'd brought any sturdier footwear." - Gawker, Scientologists in Haiti, a First Hand account.
The Volunteer Ministers are mostly dedicated Scientologists with a sincere desire to help others. The problem isn't them or with them.
The reason why we protest are the crimes, abuses, injustices, wrongdoings & human rights violations of the "Crime Syndicate," the Upper Mgmt of the so called "Church of Scientology," headed by its tiny abusive dictator, David *fists of fury* Miscavige, who despite all "P.R." appearances to the contrary IS a true SOCIOPATH
The $ci-fi Vulture M$inisters have been EXPOSED everywhere they've gone, New Orleans, the Indonesian tsunami, 911 & found 2b a *front group* of the "Church of $cientology"
Bonetheless, it's always used these photo op opportunities to promote its so called "techniques" & proselytize its beliefs (many of which are *secret,* as the belief in an evil overlord who came to this planet 75 million yrs ago, etc.) See Xenu
Two weeks after the disaster hit Haiti over 120 Scientology Volunteer Ministers are active in Haiti and the Dominican Republic and: * helped over 37,000 people, including hundreds of orphans * arranged and delivered over 38,600 tons of food and medical supplies * served more than 3,150 meals
GO TEAM!
I'm proud that I've worked as a VM in the floods in California. It's hard work, but the help you give to the people is worth every bit of the work.
Other Scientology Volunteer Ministers have teamed up with military or aid organization units and are organizing the distribution of food and medical supplies across the western part of Haiti. In the past days the Volunteer Ministers expanded their organizational and logistics support to refugee camps outside Port au Prince.
By the end of the second week after the disaster hit Haiti, they had established themselves as a stable source of help at the General Hospital of Port-au-Prince and the University of Miami tent hospital and in the many make-shift hospitals around the city. One Volunteer Minister team helped a Haitian aid organization to re-built an orphanage that could take in and feed about 80 orphans to date.
In the first week following the Haiti earthquake the Church of Scientology Volunteer Minister corps has mobilized and safely transported more than 350 rescue and medical professionals and Volunteer Ministers to Haiti. Donations for about 40 tons of food and medicine were raised and the supplies were brought into Haiti for distribution, in coordination with the United Nations. Within ten days over 100 Volunteer Ministers were working in Haiti.
The service of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers has been recognized by politicians, police, military, other relief agencies and civic authorities. A mayor in Louisiana whose city had been hit by Hurricanes Katrina and Rita in 2005 said, I was very happy when more than 900 of your Church Volunteer Ministers arrived in my city from all over the world and became a major force in bringing physical and spiritual help to those in need.
No one believes a group that hides behind goofy Halloween masks, troop by the two's and three's trying to harass church members going to their church, and all because, bottom line, they have a different religious belief.
Problems one encounters in life are often due to lack of communication skills. It is very apparent that this pathetic little Halloween group revels in bad communication and is MOST likely what got you people in trouble (no life) in the first place. You needed a Comm. course.

In the Sea Org, sickness is treated as the fault of the sick person, because Scientologists believe that the only reason someone gets sick is that they are connected to a Suppressive Person. They believe that you can decide not to get sick. So when someone becomes ill, they are treated as though they have done something wrong by not "handling" the situation.
After the Southeast Asian tsunami in 2004 close to 500 Scientology Volunteer Ministers from 11 nations helped more than 420,000 people in the regions affected. In return they were commended for their services by national leaders of Indonesia, India and Thailand and their work was covered in media reaching hundreds of millions, through international outlets including CNN, The Economist, Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
The Volunteer Minister program most heavily promoted by Scientology took place in the immediate aftermath of the 9/11 attacks. Critics of Scientology accused the organization of attempting to take advantage of the disaster in order to promote Scientology to the grief-stricken populace in the area.
When Volunteer Ministers are sent to a disaster site, they are sent for the purposes of PR. And this is wrong. To take advantage of the grief-stricken to promote, that's sick.
Before and after 9/11/01, the Scientology Volunteer Ministers Program has served on an international scale-from leading salvage and rescue efforts in response to Florida hurricanes, to being appointed an official "civil defense force" by the Italian federal government, called upon to help manage crowd control teams in Rome for the Papal funeral, and taking its distinctive yellow tents into communities all over the world.
No one betrayed you Tory, you betrayed your beliefs of many decades. And just because you had a problem communicating with a few people, does not mean that you should throw away your marriage and all else you once avowedly believed in. It's so very sad.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers arranged for and distributed more than 3,200 meals in the past two weeks. Their food distribution gets them in the poorest areas around Port Au Prince. The 82nd Airborne in Haiti provides much-needed security.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers used their own money, instead of the money provided by the Church of Scientology, and that is wrong. And don't think I have not noticed how you added the words "arranged for" in order to create an acceptable truth. The food was probably provided by other relief organizations, and Scientology took credit for the "arrangement" of food for PR purposes. What kind of "religion" cares more about PR than helping people, anyway? Isn't that right, Jan?
To hate-mongers: You are helplessly "focusing" while many others are enjoying life due to study and achievement through the Church of Scientology. Scientology is an applied religious philosophy. I've studied and used it for 42 years.
Every single day I read wonderful stories about how Scientologists are helping people and the tremendous job that the ministers are doing from sources all over the world.
So instead of skulking around spewing hatred why not get a "life".
Nobody is denying Scientologists are willing to help people. What people are protesting are the various human rights abuses committed by the management of Scientology. Did you know there are many reports of David Miscavige physically abusing his staff? Did you know that the spikes at Golden Era Productions point inward? Did you know that women in the Sea Org are pressured to have abortions? There is nothing hateful about caring about these issues.
The difference, "ridebikeovision" (One more Scientologist n hiding---the bottom of the Tone Scale per Hubbard)---is Scientology is NOT a real religion, it's a CULT. The proof? You cannot read certain books, speak to people your "church" spreads huge lies about, etc. I've sat with Ministers here in LA....where Scientology had lied through their teeth. Once those lies were busted, they all thanked ME, not y our phony "church". Good luck. This isn't about help...it's about PR, count on it.
Unfortunately instead of lending a hand, helping, succoring to the needs of these unfortunate victims in Haiti by contributing in some fashion (as so many others are doing), there are some who would rather skulk the internet only to demean a religion. However, people will see you for what you are. Make no doubt. I've been to many religious chat rooms and "outsiders" who enter ONLY to bash another's religion are looked upon as hate-mongers, nothing else. It's very sad to see your position.
If Scientology worked, why aren't all the Orgs would be Saint Hill size?
If the tech always works, why have so many well-intentioned people blown?
If you are a Communications Release, why can't you be silent?
If you are a Problems Release why do you still have them?
If you are an immortal spiritual being who is basically good and capable of unlimited creativity, then why should the fault lie with you instead of the tech?
I was the Executive Director for the Scientology Parishioners League. Their goal? "To handle (get rid of) any bad PR/Press re L. Ron Hubbard". I used to be a VM too. I began waking up when each time I'd return, the ONLY thing the Executives cared about was "Did we get press".
"Leaders say faith commands them to help and when disaster hits, theological differences go out the door."
Exactly...and Hubbard had NO Faith.
Ask them what their faith is in? Don't bother...they'll lie. $ sent. TLC
In The News: Religions come together united in their efforts to help the Haitians! "The earthquake has brought an outpouring of response from religious communities.

The Church of Scientology, better known for claiming to cure distress by ridding people of parasitic ghosts called body thetans.."
I just read a most heartwarming, intense story about a Scientology Volunteer Minister who is helping in Haiti and is also a midwife. She arrived from Boston with many other medicos, doctors and assistants and told an incredible story on her blog about her experiences there. With no electricity and in the dark, more aftershocks and lack of supplies and even water, she managed to deliver six babies to Haitian mothers and assisted with a seventh child born! Well done to every volunteer there.
The dedicated work of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers in Haiti has so far resulted in:
286 doctors, nurses and medics transported to Haiti,
30,400 pounds (15 tons) of medical supplies and food and water transported to Haiti,
Over 28,000 people helped.
As has been noted earlier, the purpose of the Scientology Volunteer Ministers is to help, and their motto is: "No matter how bad it is - something can be done about it!".
When the people arrived on Coltice they were captured by being shot, usually by a needle through the lung, and then frozen with alcohol and glycol. They were packaged in boxes like cargo, loaded onto spaceships designed the same way as DC-8 jets are designed, and brought to the planet known as Teegeeack.
Over a period of weeks and months, Xenu and an army of renegades had several billion people brought to the planet Coltice through deceptive means; one popular method was calling for a tax audit.
"Scientology Volunteer Ministers teams provide a wide variety of services, responding to the needs and priorities of the medical teams. The Volunteers organize and establish projects and teams to distribute water and food to patients and doctors, arrange and inventory hospital and medical supplies, sterilize instruments, help move patients between wards - in short, anything needed so doctors and nurses are freed up to provide their lifesaving skills."
Come on, ridebikeovision, you're an OT III. Confirm or deny this story:
Almost 75 million years ago, the elected Supreme Ruler of the Galactic Confederation named Xenu was a Suppressive Person who had become seriously unpopular with the Loyal Officers elector class. Along with this, there was a huge overpopulation problem in the Confederation: each of the 76 planets had on average 178 billion persons per planet, with some individual planets going as high as 250 billion.
Actually it's a lot more help than I'd originally read from the news. According to the most recent report given:
"The dedicated work of the Volunteer Ministers in Haiti has so far resulted in: 286 doctors, nurses and medics transported to Haiti, 30,400 pounds (15 tons) of medical supplies and food and water transported to Haiti. Over 28,000 people helped"
Scientology Volunteer ministers are there to help. As a Scientology VM I've worked side by the with the Red Cross and Christian groups during California floods. Believe me, in any disaster all help is valued and we all appreciate each other and work as a team.
Other than the Scientology volunteer ministers already in Haiti helping people prior to the earthquake, our church sent 2 more planeloads of medicos - more than 120 plus doctors, nurses and volunteers.
LOL. That's not even my name but yes, these are my aims just like every other Scientologist.
"A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology". by L. Ron Hubbard.
Scientology recently finished removing most of the white supremacy rants from its scripture, so now they can recruit Africans into the cult. Too bad it still all on the internet, and easy to find.
Scientologists never pass up a tragedy to make it a publicity stunt. Shameful... Vulture Ministers is as close as I can come to calling a spade a spade.
The Church of Scientology already sent two plane loads of medicos, doctors (over 80) and volunteer ministers to assist in ALL ways - looking for people, doctoring, giving assists to people, and tending to people who have lost family members. In a disaster there is so much to do and all "hands" are welcome. I know, I've done this work before and when you're in the "trenches" of a disaster, you really appreciate every person or group that's helping beside you.
Sure, I should have included that in the last post.
The Scientology cross was first conceived in 1954 and symbolizes the ability to live happily across all eight dynamics. Taken one step further, in order to live happily across "all" dynamics one cannot let one's family, group or other people suffer (as in Haiti) and still remain happy or non-caring. This is true for me.
"Old Hippy" - do you need help? I've offered my help to you a few times because you seem so venomous with so much hatred that it must be a painful state of existence.
Another $cientologist accusing someone of being filled with 'hate'? Flunk. People are simply disgusted with your criminal organization using the worst type of tragedies for recruitment purposes.
It's despicable, $cientology is despicable and THAT is why there's only 25,000 $cientologists left in the world.
Get a life back. If you were attaining goals you wanted in life, you'd be extroverted and having fun and not wasting time skulking around youtube looking for forums where you could say nasty things about a church and spiritual, helpful people you know nothing about.
I have a life. And it includes working to expose your "church" for the vultures they are. And there are a lot of us.
Your 50 years worth of bullying, fair-gaming, human rights abuses, human trafficking, putting people in "rehabilitation' camps, destroying families, etc etc etc are over.
You're mistaken, I won't deal with your nonsense. Your exhibition of ill will, bitterness and rampant lies about spiritual, helpful people you don't know says to me that you're not worth trying to converse with sanely. So I won't.
Just go get out there and help with the Haiti situation. It would make you feel so much better than you obviously do right now.
The Church of Scientology is doing just fine. I have no worries about people like you.
That's awesome Jan that you're an OT III. Would you consider making history by being the very first Scientologist to confirm the Xenu story? The only people confirming the authenticity of Xenu are ex-scientologists, L. Ron Hubbard's leaked documents through wikileaks, and others who have discovered the documents by accident.
You certainly do have a life. And people like ridebikeovision refuse to look at the other side of Scientology, for in Scientology, there's no such thing as truths and lies - only theta and entheta.
"A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology." written by L. Ron Hubbard
These have been my aims for 42 years and the aims of all Scientologists I know.
Scientologists barred: Haiti-A small group of Scientologists in bright yellow T-shirts tried to get into the city's main General Hospital but were turned away by U.S. troops guarding the door. The soldiers let in only family members bringing food to patients already inside. The Church of Scientology, better known for claiming to cure distress by ridding people of parasitic ghosts called thetans, says it sent doctors and nurses to Haiti to help medical teams and "provide spiritual first aid."
The teams, in coordination with other relief organizations, are distributing water, food and medical supplies and providing a wide range of services to support the medical professionals.
A Scientology Volunteer Minister who is a certified midwife has delivered two babies in Port-au-Prince. Others are providing trauma relief and grief counseling to relief workers and survivors of the quake.
The second charter flight this week sponsored by the Church of Scientology...
LOS ANGELES, Jan. 22 /PRNewswire/ -- The 168-seat aircraft departed from Los Angeles Thursday afternoon with medical personnel, specialists in water filtration and sanitation systems, telecommunications experts, emergency medical technicians and representatives from three international adoption agencies.
In Miami, more than 100 doctors, nurses and other health care professionals .... cont.
Scientology Volunteer Ministers have been to over 100 of the worst international crisis situations around the world since 911 wherever their help was needed.
We already have a Scientology Mission in Haiti and this was before the earthquake occurred. I'm sure there are plenty of ministers their to help until more can come. I know that a plane from NY arrived with 126 medicos and medical assistants a few days ago and all those doctors and nurses and VMs are there now helping.
I would like to know what the Cross signify's on the Yellow shirts the volunteers are wearing? It is good that people from this organization wants to help but they are not Physicians and do not know how to medically treat anyone if they are not trained
The cross closely resembles the Christian cross, but differs from it with the addition of four diagonal rays. The eight points of the cross represent the eight dynamics in Scientology:
"A civilization without insanity, without criminals and without war, where the able can prosper and honest beings can have rights, and where man is free to rise to greater heights, are the aims of Scientology." written by L. Ron Hubbard
These are the aims of Scientology church members, not anything else. These have been my aims for 42 years.
All hands are needed to help the Haitians effected by the earthquake. If you can't help you should step aside and let others do their respected work. It's petty to sit on the sidelines making critical remarks about volunteers who took off time from their families and jobs to help make a difference in Haiti. Believe me, having helped as a volunteer minister before, these victims are very appreciative be it Red Cross or Scientology Volunteer Ministers.
Actually the America Red Cross was forced to issue a statement warning people about the Scientology "volunteer ministers" crooks, warning people not to give the scumbags money and not to allow the insane crooks to divert relief efforts. The Scientology crooks wwere repeatedly captured and escorted back behind police lines at "Ground Zero," disrupting relief efforts and pulling people's lives in danger.
Did you see these insane Scientology crooks getting their asses thrown out of Haiti by the U. S. Army? The fucking crooks were trying to pretend they were "ministers" and had to keep getting caught and escorted out behind police lines until the fucking U. S. Army had to put a stop to these insane criminals.
As of right now we are being turned away and barred from entry every where we go in Haiti. Our yellow shirts no longer work, and we have taken to sneaking in to relief areas in different shirts so they don't know who we are. So far we have touch assisted dozens of people on camera with real medical teams in the back ground: you can see our publicity effort on our web site. No matter how often we hinder relief efforts, we will be in there selling our services. ARC.
For about a month now, the Scientologists and other volunteers have been making personal sacrifices and helping Haiti recover from disaster. Meanwhile, other people have been staying home and spreading hate-spam about the volunteers. Pretty easy to see who the good guys are.

opencomments - you are dramatizing the essence of "hate" towards we the people of a different religion (than you). A religion of which you have no real understanding. I'll put my 42 years of actual understanding of Scientology up against your "no understanding of it" in a heartbeat.
Don't you see what is happening in the Middle East? Don't you know why this country was founded on "freedom of religion"? You have no affinity for anyone in my religion and your aims are not honorable at all.
ridebikeovision 2 years ago
Wow, so you're not a spam bot after all.
The organization needs to reform.

It also believes that Scientology is a criminal organization that engages in psycho-terror, money laundering and other forms of commercial fraud and extortion.

The Prime Minister of Haiti is welcoming and appreciative of all the help that volunteers are giving.

The Disaster Relief Effort in Haiti is a global activity. Besides the Scientology Volunteer Ministers, there are people and organizations from all over the world working side by side to save the people of Haiti--volunteers, doctors, nurses, military and religious people. The Church of Scientology Loves Disasters
This really is the most disgusting thing I've seen recently about the Church of Scientology: Their reaction to the Haiti earthquake.
The actions of the Church of Scientology are despicable, in the extreme.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
The Church of Scientology provides no money towards the victims in Haiti. None. Not one penny. The church supplies no food, no water, no medicine, no building materials, no personnel, no expertise, nothing for Haiti.
But they claim, in their press releases, that their Volunteer Ministers are "a major relief agency" helping in Haiti. If they do nothing, how can they claim this?
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
(cont'd from above)
John Travolta supplied an airplane, not the church. Individual Scientologists volunteered to go using their own money. As usual, the Church of Scientology did nothing.
Along with a few untrained Scientology "Volunteer Ministers", Travolta offered a lift to health-care workers from the Association of Haitian Physicians Abroad and from the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
Those other non-Scientology groups were sending trained medical personnel & the Scientologists were completely untrained. And yet, in a most disgusting bit of lying, the Church of Scientology is actually claiming they sent the medical personnel!
As is usual, the Church of Scientology volunteers showed up at the disaster without food, without medicine, without supplies, without equipment, without shelter, without expertise -- so they are a burden on resources already stretched very, very thin.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
(cont'd from above)
As is usual, the Volunteer Ministers make the situation worse by requiring food and shelter that should be going to the victims!
But they have bright yellow t shirts that show up well for the Church of Scientology photographer! Yes, while the Volunteer Ministers are useless to real relief agencies, they are very useful to the Church of Scientology's PR department.
But, as disgusting as all this is, the Church of Scientology's response to this disaster is much, much worse.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
The Church of Scientology is officially urging all Scientologists to "help Haiti by giving to the IAS (International Association of Scientologists)". Not to any legitimate relief agency. No, Scientologists must help Haiti by "giving to the IAS"
And the IAS has not ever given a penny to any disaster relief effort. The IAS will never give a penny to any disaster relief. The money goes to David Miscavige. Period. Last I checked, David Miscavige wasn't in Haiti and didn't need any assistance.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
(cont'd from above)
Yes, the Church of Scientology is using the Haiti disaster to make money! They are profiting on human suffering!
But wait, there is more!
Bridge Publications, the publisher of Scientology books, is urging Scientologists to buy Scientology books to "send to Haiti"! Scientologists are not being urged to pay for food or water or medicine or shelter for Haiti. No, they are being urged to pay for Scientology books to Haiti!
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
(cont'd from above)
But get this: Bridge Publications is charging full price for these donated books, meaning Bridge Publications is making full profit on all the books. They are profiting on human suffering!
Further, judging by how Bridge Publications handles donated books (Library Program, Mission Starter Program), those donated books will never be shipped. Of course the books are useless to Haitians, but it is highly likely that Bridge Publications will simply keep all the money. Profit!
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
(cont'd from above)
Yes, the Church of Scientology has reacted quickly and decisively on the Haitian disaster -- they are making millions of dollars of profit, generating many nice press releases for the church, without having to spend a single penny, nor actually help anyone.
All decent people, including Scientologists, should add their voice to absolutely condemn the Church of Scientology for their disgusting greed in the face of such human suffering.

See below.
More details to come...
ridebikeovision 2 years ago
The Haiti earthquake of January 12 killed over 200,000 and left an estimated 300,000 injured and needing treatment. Ayal, a licensed practical nurse, EMT and Scientology Volunteer Minister, arrived in Haiti on January 22. A veteran of disaster response, he served at Ground Zero after 9/11 and Hurricane Katrina, but other disasters paled beside what he saw when he first got to the Port-au-Prince General Hospital.
ridebikeovision 2 years ago
In one surgery where he was assisting they missing vital equipment and Ayal used a Leatherman as a clamp to stop a young woman's abdominal bleeding which kept her alive long enough to get her moved to the USS Comfort where she could get the help she needed.
For the past twelve days Ayal and his team have been caring for 50 and 300 patients a night, often pulling 20 hour shifts. The wards are now clean and well lit, and staffed day and night.

So, if you've never had the privilege of helping others before because you didn't know exactly what to do, then find out more about becoming a Scientology volunteer minister. It's very rewarding work as you can see by all the great videos and news reports.

Scientology is not a religion; it's a hypnotherapy technique of dubious efficacy that claims to be a religion in order to shield itself from taxation, criticism and scientific scrutiny.
OpenComments 2 years ago
No major religion coerces its members to pay for religious services. Scientology requires its members to pay "fixed donations" for any service. Staff members aggressively try to convince other Scientologists to purchase services in a practice known as "hard regging". Furthermore, staff and Sea Org members are often recruited with the promise of free services, but required to do nearly unpaid work for the organization in exchange, and will be billed for a "freeloader debt" if they leave.
OpenComments 2 years ago
@OpenComments

But, of course, if you charged "prices" you could not well call your endeavors religious or be seen as a religion.
jdtrickster4 2 years ago
And, of course, what most Scientologists don't know at the time they sign for these "FREE" 'services' for which they'll be billed later should they "break the organization contract" to slave away for the scam cult at much lower than minimum wages, is that this so called "freeloader debt" is not only unenforceable but illegal in many states, as well.
They are experts at both dangling the carrot of "total spiritual freedom" and wielding the club they hold over their heads, in this & other ways.

Problems one encounters in life are often due to lack of communication skills. It is very apparent that this pathetic little Halloween group revels in bad communication and is MOST likely what got you people in trouble (no life) in the first place. You needed a Comm. course.

In return they were commended for their services by national leaders of Indonesia, India and Thailand and their work was covered in media reaching hundreds of millions, through international outlets including CNN, The Economist, Washington Post and the Wall Street Journal.
... now they're helping in Haiti too.

@ridebikeovision

@ridebikeovision

@ridebikeovision

ToryMagoo44 2 years ago

Leaders say faith commands them to help and when disaster hits, theological differences go out the door.
Those working on relief include Scientologists, who flew a group from Miami to Port-au-Prince last week, and Mormons and Muslims, who have teamed to send supplies."

Well done to every volunteer there.
ridebikeovision 2 years ago

OpenComments 2 years ago
Over a period of weeks and months, Xenu and an army of renegades had several billion people brought to the planet Coltice through deceptive means; one popular method was calling for a tax audit.

and this is what we are doing in Haiti:

And I like helping as a volunteer minister.
How about you helping instead of trying to harm?

The cross closely resembles the Christian cross, but differs from it with the addition of four diagonal rays. The eight points of the cross represent the eight dynamics in Scientology:
1. The Self
2. Creativity, sex, and procreation (family)
3. Group, society, community
4. Species survival (humankind)
5. Life forms in general
6. Matter
7. Spirit
8. Infinity or Supreme being
