What's the music cue that they used here when they described the car? They use it on TPIR all the time and it's the only one that I can't find on YouTube so far.
Makes perfect sense to me. I wasn't aware that the 80's version of 'Card Sharks' aired on both CBS and in syndication at the same time until now. Thnaks!
CONGRATULATIONS! You won a piece of shit!

I hate to be a dick...But I liked Bill better than Bob. Only reason is I preferred Bob on the Newlywed Game.
billa107 1 year ago
@billa107 I'm with you, Bill Rafferty was better than Bob Eubanks
I mean, Bob was great on The Newlywed Game, but Card Sharks wasn't his cup of tea, IMO
But Jim Perry will always be the master
and so, my favorites are Hands Down Jim Perry and Bill Rafferty

I wonder why the daytime version didn't use prize cards in the front game.
nextbarker 1 year ago
@nextbarker Smaller budget. Not only that, but the nighttime also had more luxurious or sporty automobiles.

This CAR bonus was so much easier then the 2nd one used on the daytime era.

When did bill rafferty host card sharks
astanger1 2 years ago
Bill hosted a nighttime version of the show from 1986-1987 which aired in syndication.

That cue was also the theme for the short-lived "Match Game / Hollywood Squares Hour."

nvm...I found out that it was the Match Game/Hollywood Squares Hour theme...and to think that someone else had already said that.

is that a US game ? Win a Renault car in a US game seems strange to me ...
redguard12 3 years ago
That's the first time I've seen it where Bill didn't make it blatantly obvious...

Bob Eubanks hosted the CBS version, while Bill Rafferty does the syndicated version of "Card Sharks" in the 1980s.

Do you have a win from the Bob Eubanks version?
nextbarker 3 years ago
yes i do, i have some car wins from bob's version, with the jokers being placed on the 7cards and when they did that audience poll.
jhzenor61481 3 years ago
I always liked this part of the game; Rafferty or Eubanks for a car (or Hawaii for kids).
And I always make that famous cry John Davidson & Betty White would say...
"On the count of 3. 1-2-3!"
