I HAVE A VIDEO THAT I CANNOT GET THE ASPECT RATIO TO FIT TO SCREEN IM EDITING IN PREMIER ELEMENTS 9 AND I HAVE A NIKON P500 DO YOU KNOW HOW TO CORRECT THIS HERE IS THE VIDEO
I actually love you. I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you, I love you.
I love you so much I didn't even cut and paste 'I love you' - I sat and wrote it out.
Although most people might think this is all really simple - it's something I've been having a nightmare over.
So thank you, you brilliant man - you have made the world a better place! Certainly for me and I will pass on this great deed in multitudes of awesomeness.
hi your video quality looks great..but i used these settings didnt work. I record screen with camtasia and convert to avi then edit on adobe premier pro cs3. it all looks good until i upload to youtube. Any idea?? Would be greatful if you help!
You just copy and pasted all the settings, which may give people the wrong idea. Do not change the frame rate, only use the frame rate of the source video. Same goes with image size, Pixel Aspect Ration, etc.
The biggest concern is the codec, Bitrate, and keeping the settings as close to the original video as possible
No HD Icon because the screen size in pixels is to low, its being stretched. still good quality. Im using .mt2s files H.265 30fps 1920 x 1080i and I get the HD icon but uploading the .mt2s files hasnt been successful yet, resolution is the best ive seen on youtube but its jumpy, errors uploading, camera is a Sanyo Xacti VPC-"HD2000" does 60fps and 60feilds per second, when I do editing I have to covert to 2fps from 30fps. will have to try WMV 9 HD High Quality format, shame really.
What would you say is the best setting for exporting footage for DVD or even Blue-ray. I keep getting this ghost trail effect and its driving me crazy
ah bro, could you tell me the settings u chose when making a new project to have it set up like yours?? i cant seem to match the summary size and all that when im trying to export.. thanks..
this can only be done in cs3 right? in cs2 it doesnt show the h.264 in the preset option.. so i'ma install cs3 naooo..just wanna make sure i'm correct?
i think the h.264 comes when you install pretty much any version of quicktime on your computer.. i sometimes use premiere pro 1.5 and have the h.264 option available
also, im using mainconcept encoder and im having a difficult time getting it to work, everytime i upload it tells me that my file cannot be converted, when in fact i can watch it perfectly fine. i cannot edit the output video it with any program including premiere cs3, virtual dub (and vd mp2), or windows movie maker. i set the settngs to 640x360 (this is the actual viewable size of youtube screen), 29.97fps, 44100hz, h.264 codec, 1500 kbps, video turns out to be 50mb
Why do you say adobe premiere is absolete? Adobe premiere is a comericial level program used to handle videos from and to Adobe Encore Dvd and Adobe After Effects. Premiere never had codecs for Divx, ivx, it was never meant to be used for the absolute encoding purposes... althought it does have pretty elaborate encoding options for the things that it can encode....
Easy there buddy. I never said Adobe Premiere is obsolete. Can you quote me on that? Anyway, I said "This video is obsolete" because I feel that if users can encode and upload HD quality, why limit the resolution to 640x360 and settle for "watch in high quality?" If you watch my other video, it will give you the settings for HD quality. Since you're on CS3, use QuickTime instead of MainConcept. When you select QuickTime as the format, select H.264 as the video codec at the bottom.
hmm i have a 30 sec video which i exported with these settings and its 22MB i dont know what im doing wrong :S . you have 40 secs and only 11MB :S. is it my camera or ??
I don't believe it's your camera. It must be some settings. What program are you using to export? Make sure the bitrate is set to 5,000 Kbps (not 5,000 Mbps if it's even possible).
Finally! i got to made this 4 mins video and got for 109MB. But before that, i made them and got nearly 8 GB truly freak me out! and the last time got nearly 900MB! but now thanks for your advice, my assignment will be work up very nicely! And a nice video too! (Malay= Terima Kasih!)
Hmm...make sure the bitrate is at 5,000kbps (or 5Mbps). You can drop it down to 4Mbps, QuickTime H.264 (not MainConcept's H.264's codec - probably won't make that much of a size difference in the end). Use Apple Lossless for your Audio codec (leaving it uncompressed will result in a large file). What editing program are you using? I did a 4min video in just 176MB.
I got it to 175 as well, (thanks for the reply by the way) but though it was 175 everytime I try to upload it... it gives me an error (youtube does, after like a half hour)
Yikes! According to my calculations, a 10min video should be around 430MB if you use the same bitrate and codecs I've used. Let me know if you need help.
Its ok. It came out at 2.2gig Adobe premiere likes to exaggerate. I was upscalling something into Blu-ray format at 1920x1080 25fps and 10000kbps. No supprise really.
Also if you upload files as a High Quality .Flv file doesn't youtube compress the video less because it is already the format used by Youtube? I also find the longer the video length the less Youtube compresses the picture. Thats why you have alot of 10 minute videos with nothing but blackness at the end of the actual clip.
YT did something so FLV files can no longer achieve the best quality. Plus, you can't get a "high quality" version from it (maybe someone had figured this out). I've heard about the black video in the end. I took the 10sec clip from this video and uploaded it - just 10 seconds and believe it or not, it produced poor results. For some reason, having the 10sec clip by itself doesn't get processed the same way as if you were to have that same 10sec clip inserted into a ~40sec clip. Strange!
Check out my video its the first one on my profile. That was uploaded as a flv file with high resoultion and 6 minutes of a black screen. The quality came out amazing when youtube was still 4:3 but now since yt upgraded to 16:9 it no longer looks as good. But it is still clear. Hope you like Final Fantasy :P Ill try to upload the same video using your configuration.
Thanks alot... U helped mee..:) Gr888 work Man.... :D

I prefere HQ rather than HD in youtube.
GreeVen 2 years ago 2
why?
ustoube 2 years ago
because hd usally lags on youtube unless you have a good video chip in your computer that costs alot.

I'm not sure if the H.264 codec is (was) a part of CS2. For sure, it's a part of CS3 and CS4.

It's not for 2.0. You won't find the H.264 codec in there (I think).

Yeah actually the H.264 codec is on premeire pro 2.0
