Here is the story behind gears of war. They took 3 generic action movie scripts and put them in a blender and mixed them for a while. Then they fed the mess directly into the unreal engine and added five million tons of grain to cover everything in the game. The result was a slow boring tps that xbot fanboys worship because it makes up 50% of their entire library of exclusive games.

Gears of War is a third person tactical shooter were to survive you have to take cover, Gears is also gory where Halo, the most you get is a little bit of blood when you die.
Halo is a first person perspective shooter where it takes 20 bullets to die and you jump around like Mario with guns.
Both are loads of fun, but Gears is a original idea as far as gameplay goes.

If i had to guess, i would say that the locusts attacked because of humanity's effort to use "emulsion" as the basis for it's "new era" of prosperity and peace. For the humans on sera, emulsion is just a "limitless" energy source. Since locusts live under the surface (away from the sun), emulsion must be much more important to them than for the humans. The locust queen might know that if humans are left unchecked, they will do what they REALLY do best. Consume it all up in 1-2 generations.

You abandon your post to save your father, but you didn't succeed, and were imprisoned for abandonment. Gears of War opens as a soldier frees you from prison, 14 years into the war. You find out that humans are close to losing the war, but there is a plan to eradicate the locusts. You join (and later command) the squad who have the mission of making the plan happen, and ending the war.
I think they started the war because they destroyed all of Serra's natural resources and once emultion was found the Locust knew there was only one thing they could do to protect themselves.

If i had to guess, i would say that the locusts attacked because of humanity's effort to use "emulsion" as the basis for it's "new era" of prosperity and peace. For the humans on sera, emulsion is just a "limitless" energy source. Since locusts live under the surface (away from the sun), emulsion must be much more important to them than for the humans. The locust queen might know that if humans are left unchecked, they will do what they REALLY do best. Consume it all up in 1-2 generations.

the locusts where always there however they could not fight humanity when it was at its prime ,so they used the resource emulsion to make them kill each over untill only a few remain,then they attacked when the humans were at their most vunerable.

But the guys who discovered the Locusts (the goverment or something) didnt tell the rest of the world because they thought maybe the Locusts wouldnt do anything but they were wrong and then the locusts attacked to take what is rightfully theirs.This could also explain why there are huge numbers of locusts underground.

I think the humans moved to Sera (but through out the long years everyone who was there to witness humanities move to Sera dies and all the later generations didnt know of this)and basically fucked the locusts up,forcing them to live underground. And 100 or so years later they disocover imulsion , along with the Locusts.

lol i have this crazy idea maybe Sera was originally called earth and locusts were humans and (humans on earth) locusts mutated because of the imulsion so its like the locusts are trying to save humans from the imulsion and the Kryll are birds, and those little jumpy things are children. If you think about it if the locusts werent that ugly they would be allot like humans!

Humanity (in a fictional universe) was in a war over an energy crisis. After 70 years, after the discovery of a new fuel source, immulsion, the war over fuel was finally over. However, as humanity entered a new age of peace and began harvesting immulsion from under ground, the locusts, a species that was thought to be a legend, emerged from underground and began slaughtering humans. An alliance of governments took control and destroyed their own civilization in attempts to kill the locust.

No, actually humans find the new energy source "Immulsion" but governments fight one another to gain control of it, resulting as the "Pendulum Wars". Marcus fought in this war before being imprisoned.

Ohhhhhh that's right. The countries with less immulsion and the countries with more immulsion fought. The Pendulum Wars ended after the countries reached an agreement.

In the ensuing war between Locust and Human, you are a soldier of COG, the alliance of governments in control. You abandon your post to save your father, but you didn't succeed, and were imprisoned for abandonment. Gears of War opens as a soldier frees you from prison, 14 years into the war. You find out that humans are close to losing the war, but there is a plan to eradicate the locusts. You join (and later command) the squad who have the mission of making the plan happen, and ending the war.

I think they started the war because they destroyed all of Serra's natural resources and once emultion was found the Locust knew there was only one thing they could do to protect themselves.
