F-18's no top gun and by all means the Navy would be FAR better off with an up-gunned and teched out F-14 still in service, but the hornet can definitely hold its own.
@TheProjektcc So did the F/A-18 at 2:40, at first I thought it was a CF-18 but there was no spot light on the left and if you pause in the right spot ypo can see the American roundel
Personally, I have absolute certainty that the F18 is released very capable. But if you take the more modern versions of MIG29 (MIG35 or MIG29C) I consider the MIG29C MIG35 or more capable in air combat.
Other ... F18 aircraft is a newer design .. then expected to have a higher performance than the older versions of MIG29.
@SnakColors The MIG-29 is said to be a lot more manuverable than the SU-30, 33, 35, Mig-35. Mostly that is what they based Red October on in this series.
@FlightSimulatorXATC f/a-18e/f vs f/a-18 ab cd model which is shown in this video is almost two different fighters completely f/a-18e/f better radars weapons avoinics engines more fuel and a very low rcs for a 4th generation fighter.
if that was a regular not training mig, the mig would have won both
