1. God is Love and will eventually save everyone! (flat out not true)
2. God is a God of justice & Mercy however it is up to him to choose who will burn in Hell forever and who will live with him forever. (flat out not true)
3. God is Love but the wages of sin is death. Christ died for you! Receive him and become a son of God and live forever instead of die forever!
The Bible does not teach eternal punishment. God's love and mercy endures forever. Does it really endure forever or only in this life? How can it be Good News if it doesn't translate to the afterlife? God will still judge but He will not punish forever. Join in at whatthehellbook . com
1 Timothy 4:10- This is why we work hard and continue to struggle, for our hope is in the living God, who is the Savior of all people and particularly of all believers.
Oh man... Old Testament folk were not revealed the truth about "the grave", but they were told it was not eternal. There are plenty of references of consciousness after bodily death: Souls under the Altar or God: the Rich man: etc. How else are the dead to HEAR the gospel before judgement day? Any theology that does all it can to CUT man's chances short are lies. God's atonement covers everyone. BUT, God holds each ''responsible'' to hear and know Jesus and he's got eons to wait until all do.

@LarnConner Abraham's Bosom? Come on! The story of the Rich Man and Lazarus is a PARABLE about the Jew and the Gentile. It has nothing to do with Heaven and Hell. This "holding place" is a crock. Very poor theology.
God the Creator is perfect, all powerful, all knowing. He has only positive aspects, or He would not be perfect. All ideas of hate, wrath, jealousy, are attributes of false Gods, not the Creator.
In future programs we're going to be talking about stuff that we have no real idea about. We have no evidence, but we can reference all kinds of stuff other people said, but also have no idea about.
During this video, we'll be referencing stuff that has no basis either. But we'll talk about such things as if we really do know (we don't), and we'll be perpetuating silly myhts.
This video IS in line with what scripture says, as well as what the early church fathers believed and wrote about. Many believe these two compartments are the two sides mentioned in Luke, Abraham's side and the valley of fire side, with the pit in the middle being the pit mentioned in 2Peter, where the angels that sinned were thrown.
Moreover, there are verses in the bible that state that the dead know nothing and Jesus liken it to a deep sleep. When you sleep, time does not exist so you will seem like you died and went straight to Judgment, but everyone will be there, even Adam and Eve. Jesus liken this death unto sleep because both the saved and the wicked will be resurrected and awarded or punished according to their deeds. Read John 5:28-29. I fear the current teaching is a little too close to purgatory teaching.
Hey, I'm reading the comments. Your both teetering around truth, yet both are partly wrong. Yes, Hell is the grave; hell will be casts in the Lake of Fire on "the last day." Correction - When you die in this life, your exisitence is no more according to Job 14:10-12. Christ liken it to sleep John 11:11-12,14. Read Psalm 115:17. The Lake of Fire is for The Devil, His Prophets and those who's names are not written in the book of Life and it's forever tormented. Rev 20:9-11 "eons OF-The eons"
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
How about that?! I don't see where it says the wages of sin is burning forever in Hell. If that was the case, then Jesus would still be burning ... because that punishment will never be satisfied.
In Norse mythology, Hel is a being who presides over a realm of the same name, where she receives a portion of the dead. This is where we get the word from. Notice that the NIV and NASB both have changed hell back to Hades where applicable? Now if they would only transliterate Gehenna and Tartarus also.
Gehenna is a place - Ben Hinnom. Hmm, why isn't Ben Hinnom translated as hell in the Old Testament? I'll tell you why! Picky/Choosy translators.
Sheol, Hades, and Hell just refers to the Grave, the place of the dead. Every city in every country has these locations and they are called "cemetaries". Everyone that has ever died is still in the grave, the only exception being the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, he promises this same eternal life, immortality to those that believe in him, at his appearing. Till then all dead people are still very, very dead. No Christ, then no resurrection, and no heaven. There are no "eternal souls" in heaven.
Never-ending place of torment in death is paganism corrupting scripture after pagan Rome "converted." In ages prior pagans twisted the knowledge of the fallen angels kept in the underworld from Noah's time until judgement day (called "tartarus" in Gk used once by Peter) & later said this imprisonment was for men, essentially keeping the masses in fear, turning to the pagan priests for safety, hence schools teach Dante to children. Anglo-Saxon "Hel" derives from sheol & where we get "hole"&"hell"
This video is a load of crap. This guy uses no scripture to back up anything he is claiming. Sheol means the grave. That's all it means. Gotta love how the translators use certain words in translation so it reads the way they want it to.
Ankerberg actually believes in the secret rapture garbage too.
@FAITHandLOGIC I agree with you. I found it interesting how the only scripture he provides is one off topic and not containing the words sheol or hell. If there is a Hebrew word that means "just the grave" i think we should know what it is. I dont understand why its so hard for people to grasp the truth of there not being a Hell. Is it that hard to believe our God is merciful? I know as a human i wouldnt send my daughter to a place such as hell no matter what, isn't God greater than a human?
It's because that's what people are taught. Hell is / was used by the Catholics to scare people into putting money into the collection plate at Mass.
There is nowhere in the Bible that says you'll be conscious in hell for eternity. You either have eternal life or your perish. Those are your two choices as it says in John 3:16: "will not PERISH but have ETERNAL LIFE". Otherwise it would have said you have eternal life either way - just one good and one bad.
@FAITHandLOGIC This is Cathy @ J A Show. Read Revelation 20:11-15. At the Great White Throne Judgment they will have eternal death, not eternal life. People don't want to believe in a place of eternal torment because we don't understand it. Even though God is love, one of His attributes is also wrath. Haven't you read how he responded to sin in the OT?
Yes. Death is eternal. When you die, it is for eternity. Haven't you read that we are to fear the one who can kill BOTH BODY AND SOUL in gehenna?
Since our earthly death is the death of the body, only God can KILL the body AND soul. That what that is. It's called the 2nd Death. Why? Because it's the death of the soul. Death is NOT synonomous with eternal torture. It means you cease to exist.
Hi Cathy, if God's wrath was fully satisfied at the cross, then why the need for any further wrath? Was the cross not enough wrath? Was Jesus's death not sufficient enough wrath for the Father? The wages of sin is death, not Hell. The apostle Paul never mentions Hell one single time. How is that possible? Don't the Gentiles need to know about this place so they can warn unsaved loved ones? Jesus sis the lamb of God who TAKES AWAY the sin of the WORLD! There is no need for Hell!
@123qth - Jesus' death was enough for God's wrath, if you have given your life to Christ & let His blood cover your sins. If you choose to come to God your own way, then you have not allowed your sins to be forgiven by Jesus' death. A holy God cannot have sin in His presence, therefore those who have rejected Jesus will be judged according to their deeds & ultimately cast into the lake of fire - Rev. 20. - Cathy @ J A Show
Hi Cathy, thanks for your response. Jesus said from the cross, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do." Those people had not given their life to Christ. They had totally rejected Christ and made a mockery of the cross. Yet, Jesus told the Father to forgive them, not send them to Hell.
Jesus Christ as the Last Adam, defeated and removed the sin and curse of the first Adam for the entire human race. (Romans 5:18) The Lake of Fire is a purifying Lake.
It's a parable - not to be taken literally. I suggest you go to bibleortraditions on youtube and watch his 3 part video on the Parable of the Rich Man and Lazarus.
@FAITHandLOGIC No it's not, the Catholic Church said nothing "putting money is mass" neither do Catholics teach this today, Orthodox and Protestants also and always believe in Hell. So please don't just pick on Catholics.
I don't care what Orthodox and Protestants believe. They are of the same origin and are just as full of it as the Catholics are. And don't even try to tell me what the Catholics do today because they have the same heretical and non-biblical doctrines as they always have. Purgatory is nonsense and it was fabricated by the Roman church in order to collect money in Mass in exchange for prayers to free dead relatives from purgatory. This is a historical FACT.
@FAITHandLOGIC Again, you're wrong, and no don't our doctrines nonsense, because they where around along then whatever church you go to, and if you look into HISTORY, you'll see the ancient Hebrews practiced prayer for the dead.
@FAITHandLOGIC exactly, this video is so misleading... people use the PARABLE rich man and lazarus parable to twist the words sheol, hades, and hell to mean something they do not.
The truth is, people die and when they die they are dead, simple as that. We can not communicate with them, they can not do anything, they are dead. When will people realize this simple fact.
No and no. I'm not a SDA or JW. While they both acknowledge "sleep" they both have many teachings that I disagree with. JW's are a cult. I won't necessarily call the SDA a cult but I disagree with the whole "keep the Sabbath" thing.
@doctorh2005 Prove it. And don't try the Rich man / Lazarus story or your favorite "absent from the body present with the Lord" argument either. They are easily refutable.
Just saying "SoulSleep if false teaching" doesn't make it so. Sorry pal.
Luke 23 - the translators put the comma in the wrong place. Jesus did not go to the Father until after His resurrection - John 20:17
2 Cor 5 - Paul is talking about a preference in regards to his immortal body he receives at the resurrection.
Eccl 12:7 - correct. That is Spirit, not Soul. They are not the same.
You think Souls and Spirits are the same. They are different words meaning different things. Spirit is God's breath of life so naturally it returns to him.
Elijah was caught up by fiery angelic chariots into the spiritual realm, and he was conscious there. We see him reappear with Moses to Christ at the Transfiguration. Both Moses (who had died) and Elijah are obviously VERY conscious of what had happened with Christ up to that point, as well as what was about to happen to Jesus shortly in Jerusalem (His "departure" or death).
@doctorh2005 That's a VISION! Look into the Greek. It's the word ὅραμα which is also used many other times in the NT and used as a supernatural VISION. It's not really taking place. Jesus was showing them His glory and that He fulfills the PROPHECIES (Elijah) and the LAW (Moses).
Thats not what the text says. Paul also said "whether it was in the body or out of the body, I do not know" - so what makes YOU an authority to explain what Paul experienced?
@doctorh2005 It's the definition of the word vision. It's not happening in reality. It's a supernatural sight. What is wrong with you? Read it again. Paul says no one else heard the voice. That means it wasn't happening but it was a special VISION to Paul. Go ahead and deny this.
Read Acts 12:9 "And he went out and continued to follow, and he did not know that what was being done by the angel was real, but thought he was seeing a vision."
/// the translators put the comma in the wrong place.///
Says who? Jesus NEVER said elsewhere, "I tell you the truth today"... He always said "I tell you the truth." - therefore your "comma change" is very unlikely.
/// Jesus did not go to the Father until after His resurrection - John 20:17 ///
That verse is talking about the ASCENSION and has nothing to do with what you imply. Jesus is God.
/// Jesus went to the belly of the earth for 3 days. ///
No He didnt. He suffered Hell ON THE CROSS, and then when the penal substitutionary atonement was completed on the Cross, He said IT IS FINISHED!.
Now, your view is heresy, because it suggests that Christ had to suffer EVEN MORE in hell, right after draining the cup of God's WRATH for the sins of His people on the Cross
/// Show me ONE verse that says Jesus went to Heaven for 3 days then came back down to earth. ///
Easy,
After Jesus bore the wrath of for the sins of His elect, He said "Father, receive my SPIRIT" - and as I have shown, "spirit" is used interchangeably with "soul"
@doctorh2005 You are not hard to argue. Same old false arguments as I'm used to. You bring nothing new. Just another Christian with the wrong understanding of God's word.
Have fun believing in your false pagan doctrines of immortal souls and celebrating your pagan holidays like Christmas and Easter. You probably actually think God takes pleasure in those things.
@doctorh2005 For the last time, I'm not a JW. I reject them as a cult. Besides, were the reformers JW's? Where the early Christians JW's? Were the Apostles JW's? Because NONE of them celebrated Christmas. It's paganism. Are you blind?
Tell me smart guy, why did God punish the Kingdom of Israel? They incorporated Babylonian paganism into their worship.
You're doing the same thing with Christmas. You are combining paganism into Christian worship. No different. You are just ignorant.
@doctorh2005 ARE YOU SERIOUS?! I'm not getting into the Christmas debate with you. All I have to say is that if you think Jesus was born on Dec 25 and that the holly, tree, mistletoe, etc. has ANYTHING to do with Jesus, then you are dumber than I thought.
Everyone knows that "Christ's Mass" was the Winter Solstice of the pagans and adopted by the Roman Catholics during the reign of Constantine.
It has nothing to do with today's materialism. It was pagan from the start.
The specific day we celebrate isnt important - its the thought that counts. And there is NOTHING wrong with setting a special day to remember our Lord's Incarnation. Stop being a legalist and get a life.
/// and that the holly, tree, mistletoe, etc. has ANYTHING to do with Jesus ///
Again, you are presuming I believe all that, commiting the "Minder Reader" Fallacy.
@doctorh2005 Ya know, I could have had a nice debate with you but your little antagonizing "LOL'" and such are pretty annoying. I have no choice but to expose you as the simpleton you are.
Your problem is that you ignore so much scripture that consistently teaches that man goes to the ground and rises not until the last day. Job 14:12.
As for "dying is gain", I know it's hard but why don't you read in context. To die is gain for "Christ's Glory". Read the whole passage.
/// man goes to the ground and rises not until the last day. Job 14:12.///
Ha, that verse isnt talking about the "spiritual/soul" condition of a man, but his BODY (flesh). As Ecclesiastes 12:7 says - the DUST (the flesh/body) returns to the earth - but the Spirit/Soul returns to God.
/// To die is gain for "Christ's Glory". Read the whole passage ///
Read verse 23 of that same passage - "My desire is to depart AND BE WITH CHRIST"
@doctorh2005 I already explained this. I'm not one to exalt myself over others but you are so naive that I can't even continue this conversation with you like this. If we sat down and hammered it out, I'd have no problem but Youtube comments are not a good debate environment, especially when you jump around from verse to verse and I have to answer everything out of turn. There is no structure to this forum and you are obviously a "cultured christian" not an educated one.
In the Old Testament, we could also mention Enoch "walking with God and was no more [upon the earth]." Enoch did not die young just to go into unconsciousness. He went into the spiritual realm with God in a conscious state.
In the OT, King Saul had the Medium conjure up the soul/spirit of Samuel. Samuel was very conscious and aware of what had been happening in the world, as well as what would happen the next day. The passage of time was still a conscious thing to Samuel.
Rev. 6 it mentions the "souls" under the altar crying out "How Long?" These were obviously dead folks who had been martyred, yet their souls were VERY conscious apart from their bodies, and this was BEFORE the resurrection.
Paul says in Philippians 1:23 that if he was killed in the persecution that he would "depart and be with Christ, for that is VERY much better." That doesn't sound like a description of "soul sleep" to me. This even BEFORE the resurrection.
@doctorh2005 OMG, you're pulling the Revelation argument? That already happened. If you even read in context, it's referring to the Martyrs of the Roman Empire. It's not literal, it's symbolic of God's memory of the Martyrs and how He will take revenge on them. Was Abel's blood literally crying from the ground? No! It is symbolic.
If they were in Heaven, what happened to wiping away every tear? Doesn't sound like paradise to me if they are crying.
@doctorh2005 May OMG was Oh my Gosh? Ever think of that? You are nothing but an antagonist and not a very good theologian at that. Besides, saying "oh my god" is not using His name in vain. You don't even know what the 3rd commandment is about because simpletons like you actually think that commandment deals with oral words only when in fact it's speaking of a general representation of God's name.
Besides, God's name is Yahweh. "God" is a title. Don't you know that? Didn't think so.
Its the same thing - you're just "mincing it up" to make it "look" better -
Others like "Oh Golly", "oh Gosh" etc come directly from "Oh God" - and its still blasphemy - just like "Crikey" "Crimanilly" come directly from "Christ" - also "G-Wizz"
"Holy Cow" "Holy ####" comes directly from "Holy Spirit"
"Suffering Suckatash" comes from "Suffering Saviour"
Also, in 2 Cor. 12 Paul talks about his being "caught up" into the "third heaven" (paradise) and hearing "inexpressible words" there. He wasn't sure whether that was an "in the body" or "out of the body" experience. But if "soul sleep" is true, then it could not have been an "out of the body" experience, and the inspired Apostle Paul would have to be considered mistaken for even suggesting that it could have been "out of the body" in the first place.
he's wrong hell is hades and not the lake of fire. hell/hades and death or cast into the lake of fire because they are no longer needed! quote "And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire." Revelation 20:14 quote "And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him" Revelation 6:8. hell is hades the underworld and osiris, hades, and pluto are all guardians of purgatory
They did not even use scripture to back up their claims!! The translation of Sheol to hell is a mistranslation 1 time, 5 times, 10 times, it doesn't matter. Give me the scripture to check against your teaching!
To an Ice Cube, fire is really HOT, but to a flame, it is room temperature.
The more the ice cube tries to get away from the flame, the tougher it will be on him. But when the Ice cube gives in and becomes the flame, he realized that he JUST should have done it all along and forgone all that NEEDLESS struggle.
Do you think because a Christian does NOT believe in a pagan hell, he just automatically wants to go out and kill as many people as he can???
Come on,...that makes no sense what so ever.
That would be like saying: I studied under a Great Martial Artist all my life. He has taught me ALL his secrets. So what do I, the student do now?? Do I kill my teacher because I can??
No way,..I have learned great fighting skills but also great respect!
Great video, there seems to be a lot of confusion on this topic nowadays. If I wasn't about to go to sleep I would give some scriptures to the doubters who commented earlier.
How many Scripture verses did Dr. Lutzer give to substantiate his claims about sheol? One verse, and the one he gave has nothing to do with sheol. Sheol is the grave (or place of the dead) in the O.T. The false teaching of an eternal punishing in the lake of fire always comes down to this: Is the soul conditionally or unconditionally immortal? Paul didn't think the soul was unconditionally immortal (1 Cor. 15:53), but something we are given only upon Christ's return.
Notice how nice and calm he talks about people being tortured forever. Hooray for Jesus! He tortures people! Praise God for improving on Hitlers work! What "hope and comfort!" Yeah for Jesus! By the way Mr. Highly paid "Pastor," Hades is not thrown into hell. The Book of Revelation does not teach this. Death and the Unseen are cast into the Lake of Fire. The lake of fire is the second death, not life. 1 Corinthians 15:20-28 takes us way beyond Revelation 20-22. All will be Vivified.
Jesus Christ is the cure to the cancerous growth, and the lake of fire is the application of that cure, for Jesus Christ and all the Saints ARE THE LAKE OF FIRE!!!!
Did you get that,Jesus Christ and all of the saints are the application of that CURE to the cancer of sin within all of humanity.
I am so tired of the false satanic trash that people PREACH. And they will be judged by God himself and be cured of this falsehood in the Lake of Fire of Gods Love.
I understand I will reap the consequence of my action, but what consequence is that? (Not including earthly consequence)
Torment for a period, and then I go to Heaven, according to what you say!
And how do I know what God wants for me? He never told me anything. Maybe he wants me to enjoy life, do whatever I want, because Jesus already paid so I'm going to Heaven anyway.
The point being that I could decide to murder my whole family in the name of Christ and still go to Heaven. I can do it all
Just playing devil's advocate here, because I've wondered that question, and the question has been brought up to me.
Many (who assume that Jesus' death payed for nothing), see no reason to act in any moral way, if we are all going to Heaven in the end.
Can you provide a reason? The only one I could think of, is what you have stated. That God loved his people enough to send down his son to die, and the mercy that He has given, in itself, makes me feel more grateful than words can express.
The thing people seem to get stuck on all the time is that they do NOT understand that without Christ's atoning death,.....NO ONE would wake up and be in paradise.
Just because there is no hell has NOTHING to do with it.
We would JUST BE DEAD. But Because of Christ's sacrifice, WE LIVE!!!!
It is JUST THAT SIMPLE. Christ's death paid for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD and NOT just part of it.
I realize that God has control. I told you I realize that. However, God's will obviously also involves immoral acts, which is obvious in the world.
Maybe I should reword the question.
Why should I believe in anything in the Bible, if I'm going to Heaven anyway? God's will may have already allowed me to go out, get drunk, party all I want, murder, rape, steal. So why shouldn't I?
You are either completely disregarding the implications of the question, or you just don't understand them.
Here and now, it would sure be a lot more pleasurable to have sex with a prostitute than to stay faithful to a wife.
Here and now, it would be much more enjoyable to get high all the time, than to remain sober out of respect for my body.
And even if I have to go through a million years of torment, after death, as long as I get to spend the rest of eternity in Heaven, then I see NO reason to act "morally".
The ice cube answer best answers what you just wrote.
But you can get a disease from a prostitute.
You can get jailed for driving under the influence.
The list goes on.'
But that is not even important. What IS important is that God will get HIS way, and YOU WILL NOT.
The fish fights the marine biologist trying to get a hold of him so he can give him some MUCH needed medicine, but the fish is just to stupid to KNOW what the marine biologist's intentions are.
Yes, God will get His will, in the end. Of course.
But God also allows humans to make stupid choices, according to His will (choices to hire prostitutes, murder, rape, etc).
The life of a Christian in this day and age is, in many respects, much more psychologically demanding than that of, say, a stoner or someone who gets pleasure out of murder.
You keep ignoring my question.
Why should I believe in anything in the Bible if I'm going to Heaven anyway?
If I'm going to Heaven anyway, then why not have as much fun on Earth as I can, and then get the eternal joy of Heaven as well?
You say that it would be a "needless struggle" but living according to my fleshly desires can feel much more superficially rewarding than living according to God's word. Many can testify to that.
Hey, no one has anything to fear with Universalism!
Be as evil and corrupt as you want in this world, then take a quick dip in the refreshing cleansing lake of fire and out you come all sqeuaky clean ready to enjoy an eternity of paradise.
Hitler and fellow despots will be most pleased I'm sure.
I have had about enough of this kind of junk. People get on here pretending to know what they are talking about, they have nice presentations, they have nice suits, YET, they don't have a CLUE WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT!!!
There is no HELL,...and thanks to GOD HIMSELF, there NEVER WILL BE A HELL!!
IT IS A LIE FROM SATAN!!
And anyone who participates in this lie is helping Satan!!

The dead know nothing, they are as though they are asleep.
This video is nonesence!
It is appointed unto man to die once, and after this the judgement.
Perhaps this describes the judgement before the resurrection?
To be absent in the body is to be present with the Lord.
Christ said he would stay with us until the end, so I will be here until the end of my life as I know it anyway.

FAITHandLOGIC 1 year ago
Sheol, Hades, and Hell just refers to the Grave, the place of the dead. Every city in every country has these locations and they are called "cemetaries". Everyone that has ever died is still in the grave, the only exception being the Lord Jesus Christ. Therefore, he promises this same eternal life, immortality to those that believe in him, at his appearing. Till then all dead people are still very, very dead. No Christ, then no resurrection, and no heaven. There are no "eternal souls" in heaven.
JONAH222NCSGAZ 1 year ago
Never-ending place of torment in death is paganism corrupting scripture after pagan Rome "converted." In ages prior pagans twisted the knowledge of the fallen angels kept in the underworld from Noah's time until judgement day (called "tartarus" in Gk used once by Peter) & later said this imprisonment was for men, essentially keeping the masses in fear, turning to the pagan priests for safety, hence schools teach Dante to children. Anglo-Saxon "Hel" derives from sheol & where we get "hole"&"hell"

FAITHandLOGIC 1 year ago
@FAITHandLOGIC This is Cathy @ J A Show. Read Revelation 20:11-15. At the Great White Throne Judgment they will have eternal death, not eternal life. People don't want to believe in a place of eternal torment because we don't understand it. Even though God is love, one of His attributes is also wrath. Haven't you read how he responded to sin in the OT?
johnankerberg 1 year ago
@johnankerberg
FAITHandLOGIC 1 year ago
@johnankerberg
123qth 1 year ago
@123qth - Jesus' death was enough for God's wrath, if you have given your life to Christ & let His blood cover your sins. If you choose to come to God your own way, then you have not allowed your sins to be forgiven by Jesus' death. A holy God cannot have sin in His presence, therefore those who have rejected Jesus will be judged according to their deeds & ultimately cast into the lake of fire - Rev. 20. - Cathy @ J A Show
johnankerberg 1 year ago
@johnankerberg well now the way to put it that means that there would be no point in judging deeds.

Easy.
Jesus said to the thief, "I tell you the truth, TODAY (not in the final resurrection - TODAY) you will be with Me in paradise." (LUKE 23:43)
Scripture says that "to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord" (2COR.5:6-9)
"The dust returns to the earth....and THE SPIRIT RETURNS TO GOD WHO GAVE IT" (ECCLES.12:7)
Also, HEBREWS 12:23 and LUKE 16:22-23
Souls are VERY conscious after death.
doctorh2005 1 year ago
@doctorh2005 Wrong!

The passage of time was still a conscious thing to Samuel.
doctorh2005 1 year ago
@doctorh2005 Wrong again. Enoch died. Read Hebrews 11:13.
As for Elijah, what does the Word say?
"No man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven, even the Son of man" (John 3:13).
It was the SPIRIT of Samuel, not the Soul. Stop with this soul = spirit nonsense. It's easily debunked just like your arguments.

Wrong - the word "ALL" in that verse doesnt necessarily mean all "WITHOUT EXCEPTION" - compare MARK1:5/LUKE3:21 with LUKE 7:30.
Therefore it means "RELATIVELY all, or GENERALLY"
/// No man hath ascended up to heaven, but he that came down from heaven ///
Thats talking about ascending "in and of themselves" - Enoch and Elijah were TRANSPORTED or CARRIED - they didnt ascend themselves.

Did you get that,Jesus Christ and all of the saints are the application of that CURE to the cancer of sin within all of humanity.
I am so tired of the false satanic trash that people PREACH. And they will be judged by God himself and be cured of this falsehood in the Lake of Fire of Gods Love.

So if there's no Hell, does that mean I can just do whatever I want on Earth?
Because I'm going to Heaven eventually anyway right? :D
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
Just as if you were to super glue your head to a bus about to drive off, you are going to reap the good or bad of your actions.
If you like being dragged down the street while having your face pasted to a bus going 45 miles an hour, then go for it!!!
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
My first reply didn't take, so here is what I wrote before the super glue thing.
Yes you will go to heaven no matter what you do or do not do.
But remember you will NATURALLY reap the consequence of your actions, no matter what they are.
There are ALWAYS natural consequences to what ever we do.
Not to mention that if you believe that God wants what is BEST for you, why would you do anything else?????????????????
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
I understand I will reap the consequence of my action, but what consequence is that? (Not including earthly consequence)
Torment for a period, and then I go to Heaven, according to what you say!
And how do I know what God wants for me? He never told me anything. Maybe he wants me to enjoy life, do whatever I want, because Jesus already paid so I'm going to Heaven anyway.
The point being that I could decide to murder my whole family in the name of Christ and still go to Heaven. I can do it all
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
You can do whatever God allows or plans for you to do.
You can do NOTHING of yourself (If you remember the Word of God)
Man may devise a way, but GOD directs his steps! (Another little snippet from God's Word).
There is NOTHING in this life that you can or cannot do without the consent of God.
God is in control of EVERYTHING.
So, YES, Manson and Hitler will eventually be rid of their Evil and join the rest of humanity in Paradise.
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Yes, I realize that God is in control, but still, if I choose to rape my sister, I'm pretty sure God wouldn't magically decide to stop me.
So again, I ask, is there any reason for me to even be "good" if I'm going to Heaven anyway?
Why should I believe in anything the Bible says, if that's the case?
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
So your telling me the ONLY REASON you are a Christian is because you FEAR a HELL!!????
Is that your TRUE motivation????
Or do you think maybe you follow God and Jesus Christ because GOD is the ONLY ONE with the answers!!??
AND because you know HE LOVES you more than you can even love yourself!??
I follow God because,......what else is there???
Who else has all the answers???
What do I have that is "OF MYSELF??"
I have NOTHING of myself. Without God, I am NOTHING!!!
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Just playing devil's advocate here, because I've wondered that question, and the question has been brought up to me.
Many (who assume that Jesus' death payed for nothing), see no reason to act in any moral way, if we are all going to Heaven in the end.
Can you provide a reason? The only one I could think of, is what you have stated. That God loved his people enough to send down his son to die, and the mercy that He has given, in itself, makes me feel more grateful than words can express.
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
The thing people seem to get stuck on all the time is that they do NOT understand that without Christ's atoning death,.....NO ONE would wake up and be in paradise.
Just because there is no hell has NOTHING to do with it.
We would JUST BE DEAD. But Because of Christ's sacrifice, WE LIVE!!!!
It is JUST THAT SIMPLE. Christ's death paid for the sins of the WHOLE WORLD and NOT just part of it.
That is the Point.
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Irrelevant to my question.
What reason should I follow anything in the Bible, if I'm going to Heaven, no matter what?
I'll leave it at that, please inform me.
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
I have been trying to tell you.
It is NOT up to YOU, it is up to GOD!!!
You can do NOTHING by yourself. You have almost NO control over your own actions!
So what EVERY human being is doing on this planet is following the intentions of the Father.
You can do NOTHING. NO HUMAN can do anything of himself. Just like when Pharaoh was raised up for that VERY DAY!!
Did Pharaoh have ANY say in the matter?
No!
And if someone goes out and kills,...guess what,...that is the will of God also.
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
I realize that God has control. I told you I realize that. However, God's will obviously also involves immoral acts, which is obvious in the world.
Maybe I should reword the question.
Why should I believe in anything in the Bible, if I'm going to Heaven anyway? God's will may have already allowed me to go out, get drunk, party all I want, murder, rape, steal. So why shouldn't I?
You are either completely disregarding the implications of the question, or you just don't understand them.
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
Why should you follow it??
Because it benefits you in the here and now and in the world to come.
The Lake of Fire is not a fun thing. And I personally believe it is in the HERE AND NOW and maybe the world to come.
So the closer you follow God, the better off you are all the way around!
It is a frightening thing to fall into the hands of the living God.
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
But I don't see how it benefits me here and now.
Here and now, it would sure be a lot more pleasurable to have sex with a prostitute than to stay faithful to a wife.
Here and now, it would be much more enjoyable to get high all the time, than to remain sober out of respect for my body.
And even if I have to go through a million years of torment, after death, as long as I get to spend the rest of eternity in Heaven, then I see NO reason to act "morally".
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
The ice cube answer best answers what you just wrote.
But you can get a disease from a prostitute.
You can get jailed for driving under the influence.
The list goes on.'
But that is not even important. What IS important is that God will get HIS way, and YOU WILL NOT.
The fish fights the marine biologist trying to get a hold of him so he can give him some MUCH needed medicine, but the fish is just to stupid to KNOW what the marine biologist's intentions are.
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Yes, God will get His will, in the end. Of course.
But God also allows humans to make stupid choices, according to His will (choices to hire prostitutes, murder, rape, etc).
The life of a Christian in this day and age is, in many respects, much more psychologically demanding than that of, say, a stoner or someone who gets pleasure out of murder.
You keep ignoring my question.
Why should I believe in anything in the Bible if I'm going to Heaven anyway?
fratboyfrat 2 years ago
(continued)

The unbelievers who were not CHOSEN of God will be dipped in the lake of fire and become a NEW creature.
And then EVERY knee will bow and EVERY tongue shall swear that CHRIST IS LORD!!

The ones that are not Of God upon their death, will spend an Aion in the lake of fire for correction.
This correction will take the cancerous growth out of the unsaved and make them a NEW CREATURE!
And as most all born again Christians know, One Must die to sin and be born again to be allowed into the kingdom of heaven.
This is exactly what will happen. That is why the Lake of Fire is called the SECOND DEATH.

What if it were your Child,do you believe GOD ALMIGHTY Is going to roast your children in a pagan hell.
This is what MolaK the god of the heathens did, they roasted children here on earth!
I beg anyone reading this, do not believe the lie. There is no hell, only death and then a resurrection to life or judgment.
And GODS Judgement is Right and JUST!!!!
Jesus has saved the WHOLE WORLD,..as HE HIMSELF HAS CLAIMED!
EmeiBaguazhang 2 years ago
Jesus Christ has done ALL THAT NEEDS TO BE DONE. And what needed to be done is become SAVIOR OF THE WHOLE.
Jesus Christ will NOT fail to save ALL OF HIS CHILDREN!
Would ANY of you be happy in paradise if you KNEW and could see your loved ones being tortured for all of eternity in this fabled pagan hell!!!????

Whether people know it or not, but stating there is a pagan hell, they are aiding Satan the liar from the beginning to spread his hate message!
And Satan is their FATHER!!!!!
I have had it.

"Hades is going to be thrown into hell"
WHAT????
You have got to be kidding!!
What a crock!!!!!
