Thanks a lot for this vid!!!! Here in Argentine, we had "The Elevens" from the Pacific Electric, between 1952 and 1973. They were used in commuting service in the 23 kilometers line on Ferrocarril Urquiza. They began running in two and three cars consists (like your vid) up to six, MU units. They were provided with third rail shoes though they kept trolley poles for using in the yards where third rail didn't exist.
I remember as a kid I could hear that train whistle at night all the way from Alameda Street when I lived in East Wilmington at the Port of Los Angeles in the late 50's.

As I recall, the "Blimps" came from other Southern Pacific properties in Portland and in the San Francisco Bay area. They had a long service life.
