  • when it,s over it,s over good run nobody else have that fighting style all that show boat shit was entertaining made the fight worth watching

  • His daughter is really pretty (not meant in a pedophile way).

  • Roy Jones Jr. is a legend 100%. Prime RJJ beats Prime Tarver, Johnson, Calzaghe, Green or Lebedev any day... Even Prime Hopkins (he even did beat him, and Hopkins is a legend)...

  • roy man respect the legacy that you shed so much blood sweat and tears to build and please RETIRE...i have you ranked top 5 p4p all time and ppl say im retarded cuz they bring up all ur fights post tarver...wtf...you did everything that needed to be done, its time to enter civillian life

  • @00925585 filled wit trinidad n dela hoya hype, but roy was THE BEST!!! GOAT n my book cuz no one n der prime wouldve beat him n his prime

  • ahhh :( damn i love roy!! true fucking legend

  • i like this reporters voice. its so cushy :-)

  • I WISH ROY HAD BEAT MAYWEATHER ASS BE FOR HE STOP FIGHTING DAM

  • @michaelperry91 roy is fighting again on dec 10

  • @R3rt0b wow really

  • Comment removed

  • @R3rt0b kool

  • aww his mom is so supportive....

  • hope he retires hate seeing him lose like that

  • @ParasiteFromTheHills Well if he lived his life backwards he would still be a cocky asshole in his prime... I mean come on its Roy Jones he has a reason to be a loud and cocky when he was dominating every fighter they put in the ring with him and champions of certain weight divisions didn't even want to fight him despite the HUGE offers he would give them....

  • Roy Jones Jr. Is still a Legend in my eye's. None of these fighters didn't want to piss roy off. They know what time it is. Roy is definitly one of the Greatest Of All Times. Just imagine where boxing would be in the 90's without Roy Jones Jr.

  • He was the best I have seen in boxing but man what happen to him.

  • @yearightnignog he was exposed by better fighters and his arrogance finally caught up.

  • Roy looked embarrassed. Smh

  • it happens to every one ali mike tyson SRL its normal every one slows down soon

  • my favorite and talented fighter of all time... apart from bruce lee. lol

  • i love rjj and i deffintly think we showed him respect

  • is he still boxing?

  • It's over Roy!

  • Roy Jones just got knocked out again (5/21/11) in Russia. I don't think it's too far of a stretch to say that at this point, even Manny Pacquiao could beat Roy Jones.

  • @Solowizard...especialy manny pacquiao...

  • hahaha I was one of those 51% (Australians) that was going for Roy... Danny Green dodged a bullet there, Roy would have picked him apart in his prime!

  • Roy STill the Shit IDGAF!!

  • that wasnt no fight y'all played illegal mind games and than said sorry bout that wat a load of bs

  • What a legend! dude is so humble and such a great guy outside the ring.

  • Complete Legend. In his Prime he was Unstoppable.... Great Humility. Sad to see a Legend down and out like that.. At his peak one of the most naturally and physically gifted Boxers of all time.

  • roy should of retired 5 years ago. Hes been done for years. Still one of the greastest to ever step in the ring though. cant beat fathertime

  • Best fighter of all times. there will never be another one like him. love RJJ.

  • even after a loss, it has time to take pictures with his fans....awesome.

  • rofl at him crying eyes

  • @rhemity you're a piece of shit, I sincerely mean that my friend.

  • @rhemity rofl hes $7million dollors richers now..what the fuck do you do .work at kfc

  • hes like 40 now he should stop . Roy's such a legend though

  • 2:46 WHAT THE HELL kind of pants is that guy leaning on the wall to the right is wearing?

Looks like the same pants my sisters wears.

  • COME ON Mama Jones! We know it hurts to see what happened to Roy.

  • Lennox Lewis is probably the only boxer in history to lose by getting badly knocked out come back to knockout the same people he loss to, go on to dominate his division, then retire on TOP. Everybody else seem to spiral downward after losing.

    .

It's funny looking back on it, but I can't believe that Jones actually thought about fighting Mike Tyson at one point in his career. That surely would've been his first bad loss by knockout.

  • It's always sad to see a Great Champion lose so badly. I wish Roy Jones had stopped boxing after the third Tarver loss.

  • this happens with champion boxers they dont know when to quit like ali vs berbick or tyson vs mcbride but no matter how much you train when your 40 you can never fight like when your 20 i wish boxers like roy can understand that

  • Damn I which Jones stop fighting.

  • HEY ROY! It's time to retire. Ever since Tarver knocked you out , you hadn't been the same. You've been rattled. Your chin has turned to glass. Glen Johnson proved that.

RETIRE before you end up like Gerald McClellan.

  • @Solowizard - I'll have to agree with this, we don't want another outcome like Gerald, which was tragic.

  • @Solowizard Why dont you retire from posting dumbass comments. Dont compare Roy Jones Jr to Gerald. Roy Jones Jr will always be remember as one of the best next to Ray Leonard and Ali.

  • @Gr33nNdY3llow - WRONG!

Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather are vying for that spot.

  • @Gr33nNdY3llow - Sadly, Roy Jones will mostly be remembered for his losses rather than his victories.

  • @Solowizard He beat Hopkins, James Toney, Eric Harding, John Ruiz, and Antonio Tarver. He lost to Antonio Tarver twice, Glen Johnson, Joe Calzaghe, Danny Green, and Bernard Hopkins. They may have beat Roy but they know dam well they didnt want to fight Roy in his peak. Roy would have destroyed any of these names.

  • @Gr33nNdY3llow -

    TRUTH BE TOLD:

When Roy Jones was in his peak, he refused to go overseas to fight Danny Green, Joe Calzaghe, Arthur Abraham and Mikkel Kessler. Jones kept saying he was the Champion and he shouldn't have to go to them, even though all these guys each were already Champions with belts of their own. This was the reason Larry Merchant kept criticizing him and saying "It wasn't about what Roy has done, but what has Roy done lately?"

  • @Solowizard When Roy was at his Peak. Danny Green Had no Belt. Mikkel Kessler was in Super Middle weight. Barley got the belt in 04. Roys peak was from 98 - 04. Joe Calzaghe faught bums dont even talk to me about his pathetic career. Arthuer Abrham captured the IBF middle weight title that Jones faught for in 93. So honestly wtf do you know about boxing. Chump.

  • @Gr33nNdY3llow - What do I know about Boxing? It's called the "sweet science", The art of hitting and not getting hit in return. Most people like you think it's about two brutes trading punches blow for blow rattling each others brains, but it's not. I bet you think the movie Rocky is what boxing is all about. LOL! WRONG!

What you talked about has more to do with individual careers and nothing about the sport of boxing itself.

    You know nothing about boxing.....CHIMP!

  • @Solowizard When did I say boxing was about 2 people trading punches? And I did talk about there careers. CUZ THATS THE SUBJECT. YOU FUCKING MORON. IMA JUST END THIS RITE NOW CUZ YO DUMB BITCH ASS ARGUING ABOUT THE WRONG THING. LAST THING IMA SAY IS YOU DONT KNOW BOXING YOU PROLY TRAINED BEFORE AND NEVER GOT GOOD FROM LACK OF TRAINING. SO YOU JUST WATCH IT ON YOUTUBE AND TRY TO TALK LIKE YOU KNOW ABOUT THE SWEET SCIENCE. ON YOUTBUE LIKE A DUMB BITCH TO REAL BOXERS.

  • This video was gripping to me. I grew up on Roy Jones Jr. Back in the day he seemed unbeatable; never imagined him losing a fight. Here in this video, 2009, 20 years post his pro debut, and he's walking out of the tunnel and into the night a mortal. I think even as a pro, you always fear/know that day is going to come but you just think you live forever sometime. Seeing him just walk into the night like that after such a hard loss reminds me of NOTHING LASTS FOREVER. Enjoy your life while u can

  • @Schumifreak9 plaster in his gloves???

  • Roy at his best was one of the greatest ever. His chin was always a little suspect. He was just so fast he took very few punches. when his reflex's slowed, that's when his chin was exposed.

  • he loss cuz he fought defensively...he was intimidated

  • idc if he lost

hes still one of my fav fighters

    LONG LIVE ROY JONES JUNIOR!!

  • his wife is hot

  • I tell you what ..our friends from down under sure do treat him nice......

  • @KIMBOSLICE66666 We would have loved to keep him and his mother in Australia. Regardless of what happened, he's still Roy Jones Jr, the man.

  • @poltome ..i met danny green when he came to the staes last year..he had a bunch of his fans with him they are nice lads ...danny was posing pics with people and talking to the crowd/...

  • he showed great "custom" technic to us

  • he made 2 million dollars a minute y feel sorry for him

  • damn ! roy's mom's hot ! bet she has a big old ass too

  • @KingRhaul she probs got a huge bumhole, i mean she probs had loads of big dicks in her life!

  • @KingRhaul George Foreman used to fuck her ass

  • @joefurzton i'd fuck her ass too

  • legends have to fall in order to become legends there is no other way to become one

  • I truly believe that if Roy had stayed in HW after beating ruiz, he would`ve reigned the HW division for a long time. I believe he could beat Lennox Lewis. Unfortunately he moved 4 months after the ruiz fight and that`s what happened,,,,

  • Roy jones is a great man!I LOVE him he is the best for me!Some time we win some time we lose!i will always support that man!I love you Roy from Bulgaria!

  • One of the best fighters in his era, if not THE best fighter in his era. Roy Jones Jr will go down as one of the best P4P fighter of all time. But In all Honesty, the man needs to retire. He has nothing else to prove.

  • Class act RJJ. Don't know what Green is crowing about. People backed RJJ because of who he is. The reality is age catches up with everybody but the legend will be around longer than the man. Danny Green however will not be thought of in the same way ever. He has to achieve what RJJ has if that's going to happen and that I'm afraid is beyond Danny Green even in his prime. LMFAO. RJJ a living legend.

  • If he wants to fight on he'll fight on an as a fan of roy i support him in that no matter how many he is to lose its what he like to do and remember what roy has achieved and done, he was a better than Ali in my opinion Ali was overated Roy is a legend and always will be

  • This is my second post on this, Roy , you lost that fight but you won many hearts in australia , specialy mine, ur a true gentelman and you little girl can tell her friends, MY dads roy jones jn and he is the best fighter of all time, ur family is adorable and thats what matters.Australians love danny green but they also love roy jones jn. Thanks mate.

  • Australians are cool people.

  • man roy pls retire ur long past ur prime and becuz of ur style ur a sitting target 4 younger fighters they dont need skill 2 beat u anymore just power

  • Roy Jones is boxing way beyond hes time it hurt to see this video.Roy has done a lot of good things 4 this sport but like Andre Berto say you as much as love this sport it dont love you back.

  • roy looks tired in this video but not old ! he looks younger every day and is in great shape! the only time i thought roy didnt look his usual self was possibly against trinidad, after a long hard training camp but he still managed to put on a great show and win! and thats why hes the best of all time !

  • Love Roy Jones JR but i think he should definately retire. I mean in the Hopkins fight he looked really brain damaged. His coordination, movement, his speed - everything looked strange. Unlike Roy.

  • @BeLegit7 DO U LOOK AT INTERVIEWS.....HE SAID HE WAS GOIN FOR DA KNOCKOUT DA WHOLE TIME....BERNARD LOOKED TIRED...Y U THINK HE WENT DOWN LIKE 3 TIMES...DUDE AINT REALLY GO DOWN FROM GETTIN HIT BEHIND DA HEAD..TYPE IN BERNARD HOPKINS DIRTY BOXIN AND YOU'LL SEE EXAKTLY WAT BHOP HAD TO DO TO BEAT ROY JONES.....

  • @AyePB I agree. I think Hopkins is finished and he should not be fighting anymore. His last performance was just complete bulshit. He looked too old to walk in the ring let alone fight. But still i want Roy to retire as well. He should not make the same mistake Ali did...

  • @BeLegit7 I FEEL U....BUT LOOK AT IT DIS WAY ROY STILL HAS SPEED...HE SHOWED IT AGAINST JEFF LACY...HE STILL HAS POWER...HE SHOWED DAT AGAINST JEFF LACY(TKO 11TH ROUND)...SOME SHIT KALSLAPPY KOULDNT DO....SO MY QUESTION IS Y RETIRE IF U STILL HAVE DA ESSENTIAL SKILLS TO BEAT SOMEBODY...ROY'S LAST 2 FIGHTS PPL HAD TO CHEAT TO BEAT HIM...

  • @AyePB You are forgetting about a crucial element of boxing: FOOTWORK. You see Roy was UNSTOPPABLE untile 2003 becouse he COULD move very fast. He had quick hands but was also capable of jumping behind an opponents back after hittin him with a right cross. That was insane! Once he moved up and down 30 pounds he lost his legs. In his recent fights he is not moving like he used to. Hands quick, but legs to slow... Can`t move out of the way anymore...

  • roy is a fantastic fighter and person

  • Roy wake up your a "family man" now. Years ago you would of been walking out of the stadium looking for the after party. This time around your walking with your wife and kids.

Being a family man takes off a lot of the edge off a flashy boxer. The flashy boxer is young wide and free, retire Roy you had a great run while it lasted.

  • his mom looks good for her age.

  • @gibbsquamain u posted that a year ago but i feel like asking how old is she? lol

  • @HellsHighwayTrooper lol i have no idea but idk but she looks nice

  • @gibbsquamain lol yh for her age. oh wait i still dont know her age lol but im guessing 50's 60's

  • @HellsHighwayTrooper By Roy being born in 1969, I'm guessing she's at least in her early 60s.

  • @MIKESOWELL hmm yeah

  • Still my fave!

  • he lookssooooo old in this video

  • Comment removed

  • @potyunbe you serious? hes one of the greatest boxers of all time hes up there with sugar ray leonard hagler hearns and the other ring greats

  • @potyunbe yo he has 54 wins are you serious?

  • agree and long as you can get paid why not

  • yeah no matter what hes the GOAT

  • roy please retire you are jacking up your record with loses and your done rjj was and is the best but he had his time its time to hang up the gloves for good o and yes danny green beat a shot roy jones not a prime roy jones

  • Yeah man, now Roy's fighting B-hop? This is what's killing me about Roy, he had a chance to rematch B-hop, fight Calzaghe (maybe Green) when he was younger but didn't - and now he's taking these fights when he's just not the same fighter...wtf is he thinking?

  • Hopkins pulled out of the fight over 10 percent AND wanted Roy to come to a catch weight, B-Hop was'nt that famous at this time either

Cal had ABSOLUTELY NO DRAWING POWER and was calling out the Roy from supermiddle IN WALES!

You gotta understand losing to young Roy was career suicide, he would showboat and make you look bad AND he could hurt you

These guys made mention of him cuz he was P4P, but you can't have all your conditions against the p4p unless you don't really want it

  • roy can be cocky.. but i give him credit that he took the loss fairly well... and admire the fact that he praised green for his efforts resulting in the win... bar the hand wrap controversey i thionk a rematch woudl be nice.. i think roy could beat beat green.. but lately seems roy can have a good performance with his diminishing skill and speed, then a lacklustre one

  • Jones after benard RETIRE!

  • is it just me or coud his mum pass for looking same age as roy in this clip..??? she not exactly easy to assume if you didnt know, that yeah must be his mum huh ..

  • He got palmed to the side of the dome, That wasnt a clean punched i think roy can take him if he was legit (Danny fail)

  • Roy Jones is my favorite fighter of all time; bit sad to see him this way! RJJ FOREVER!!!

  • Roy is better then some younger fighters today,he is fastest ir boxing buisnes. He just got cout by a punch.Danny peace of shit even bernad looks better then him.

  • y the fuk r u bringing up looks?? its not a fukn cat walk its about who has the greater boxing ability

  • Everyone wondered why Roy was a safety first fighter, now I know why, a weak chin. Roy was great though, maybe the fastest lt heavyweight ever. To win so many fights with a suspect chin makes him even more impressive.

  • roy jones the best of all time, should have retired undefeated after ruiz fight!!! this is sad to see at the moment everyone taking pot shots at a old man!!! he would anihalate all these fighters in his prime calzaghr hopkins aussie joke all of them!!!! FACT!!!

  • Father Time - the one opponent no fighter has ever beat.

  • Foreman beat him, and Holyfield is going into the Championships rounds as we speak.

  • @SouthernSniper74 Most of us who live long enough to get old, do get old, but Holyfield should have retired a while ago. Father Time is slowly having his way with hm. Foreman's a rarity. He could probably come back today, old as he is, and unify teh division.

  • As a devoted RJ fan, it'd be nice to see him just hang up the gloves. His legacy was tainted as soon as he went back down from heavy weight to fight Tarver. He should have called it quits after Ruiz. Fighting in your forties is redundant. He's lost so much speed and athleticism. Plus he looks a bit punch drunk now too.

  • Hail the king baby!

  • ROy jones is a true gentlemen and classy individual what a boooootz cunt

  • Roy Jones Jr. simply got caught. Roy Jones Jr looked better at 40 in his Jeff Lacy fight then Floyd Mayweather has ever looked in his whole career. Roy please stick around and school some of these upandcoming fighters.

  • The class and humility that he has in a loss is amazing!

  • you're a class act Roy, and you ARE one of the greatest of ALL time. You will be remembered as such.

  • Nice to see Roy hold is head up after a chrushing defeat like that, plus it loos like his family got a nice holiday down under too. Roy Jones at his ultimate peak, which i think was at super middleweight was unbeatable, no fighter in the history of the sport would have beat him, even the great Ray Robinson.

  • Yeah i'de like to reiterate "Mr40up". Thanks heaps Roy for showing the world shear God given talent, and being the fantastic guy that you are.

As an Aussie, i'de like to afficially say ---- "Thanks Mate".

If you get this Roy, don't be a stranger, come on down here and bless us with your presence buddy.

Us Aussies really appreciate cool sports people, and your definatley one of the coolest.

    Cheers

    John - Sydney.

  • Roy , i would like to say thanks for being such a great sport , australians love danny green , and you might of lost that fight but you wont the respect of us aussies , ur a legend and always will be and ur little girl is adorable , and ur mum is a sweet lady also , thanks mate.

  • thats a very very considerate and kind thing to write.

  • It doesn't matter want fans want if Roy still wants to fight then so be it I hate to see him get hurt but he's a grown man and has been to the top as a P4P king. I want him to rematch Green wasn't right to stop the fight. Joe beat on him longer than that and Green pulled Roy's guard down several times just to hit him. If he does fight Hopkins he will be a threat at lt heavy than at Cruiser W8. Roy stay at Lt.Heavy if you cont. to fight. Don't go up N E more.

  • Show must go on. Roy will fight forever. He is the best.

  • age is a bastard

  • but Roy takes his losses like a man, he never complains or make excuses even though he been out his prime years ago he still loves to compete and its hard to except the fact that youdont have it anymore.

  • @jordanav, watching these videos i agree, roy jones jr takes it like a man. He was respectful to Danny Green to his face and to the Australian media but as soon as he returned to America he threw countless accusations at Danny Green having a cheated victory. He appealed to the National Boxing federation about Green having illegal gloves and kept saying that the referee called the fight off to early. Regardless, he was an amazing boxer but it seems to be Greens time now 5-0

  • @dan4jc I dont know about the accusations but, either way Roy needs to retire before he gets hurt, he hasnt been in his prime for 6 years now.

  • @dan4jc It's just politics, and even a dumbass like me can see that. He had to have something to say to explain the loss. That's just the way boxing is. I've never met him personally, but I'll go on a limb and say I think you've misjudged the man.

  • @jordanav True, I hate to see great fighters go out like this, we see it all the time from Ali to Leonard to now Roy. The sad thing is we all know a prime Roy would beat all that beat him. Sucks.

  • @Rasclot222 To be honest I honestly believe Roy would have killed Calzaghe and Green in his prime but we will never know.

  • @jordanav He wouldhave brother trust me. When he moved up to HW he should have stayed there. At least losing to those big guys we wouldn't have been as upset. When he lost all that weight he pretty much ruined his body. And when he fought Glen Johnson he should have been more offensive because Glen has no defence. I don't know bro it just upsets me that he lost to guys who don't even come close to his talents.

  • @Rasclot222 Yea Roy should have retired after the 3rd Tarver fight, and Calzaghe in my opinion was protected and untested, but Roy is a natural competetior it isn't in his nature to quit.

  • @jordanav I know he just won't quit. I really wish he would. Imagine if he was in his prime fighting this super six tornament. We would spank them all.

  • @Rasclot222 of course the only fighters that are impressive are Ward and Direll and they dont come close to a Roy Jones.

  • Roy Jones should have retired years ago he shouldnt be losing to guys like Green and Calzaghe.

  • Roy is a nice guy...still gives time to his fans...

  • One of the greatest fighters, to bad that he got old, who doesnt :)

  • When Roy was younger he was blazing fast for his weight, but without great speed, his style is flawed. Roy's chin is also lacking. This was not a problem until he slowed down a bit. What I don't like is after Roy lost he claimed Danny Green had illegal hand wraps!! Roy's ego is still #1 but his skills are not. Roy may have been the best lt heavyweight ever, but Idk because he never fought other great fighters to really prove that. Anyway, Roy ruled his division for years, even if it was weak.

  • @hawkermustang u said roy was fast but witout speed? if that at a contradiction..roy prolly has sum fastest hands n boxing accompanied w/ his tremendous footwork n his prime..he's the only fighter n history 2 go n entire round witout gettin hit..lol..u needa brush on yo jones history..

  • @ImmaH60dstar Roy is now without great speed.

  • he still had great hand speed. but his foot work is not what it was nor are his reflexes

  • True

  • @ImmaH60dstar Willy Pep once won a round without ever throwing a punch, way back in the day. So you should brush up on your boxing history. lol

  • he is the number1 all timm pound for pound GOAT.More speed than leonard ,better accuracy than ali more ruthless than tyson and in his prime the greatest defense of all time.He never ran His mouth after a fight never made excuses just got on with it and trained harder for his next fight hes just too old.i still want him to have a rematch here against green and then whoop that b-hops ass then fight andrson silva in a hybrid match even he recognized ufc as the great sport it is a gentleman theGOAT

  • I liked how they still cheered for him in the end.

  • we all saw this coming..ppl were fooled by jones takin out a 1 armed lacy n trinidad who hadnt fought n over 3 yrs n moved up n weight on top of that..jones now is damaged goods..he is alredy n the category of stayn n the game 2 long jus like jack johnson, robinson, ali, etc did..it all started wen he came back 2 fight tarver..b4 that jones looked like mr. unbeatable..losing 30 lbs n a 6 week period destroyed jones..he won the 1st tarver fight anyway but looked like shit doin it..plz retire rjj

  • You couldn't have said it better!

  • Roy Jones Jnr. = One of the GREATEST BOXERS OF ALL TIME

  • Either way jones isgoingdown in history asagreat green wont.

  • Roy Jones jr is a legend........ and a class act

  • lmao his head lookes like a triangle lol

  • LMAO you're stupid hahaha... True though!!!!

  • this Guy Roy jones Jr is a big champion in the ring and outside the ring

    BIG RESPECT FROM FRANCE

  • I respect roy jones jr so much so everything he does I respect and appreciate. He knows better what he has to do.We will never forget him

  • this shit hurts me to see him like this...i don't wanna c him fight anymore cuz i don't wanna c him take anymore big shots like that

  • roy is a class act for real

  • Yes he is.

  • i love the respect they gave him over there.. me being from pensacola florida i have seen alot of roy's fight i never seen him like that after a fight.. I think he wanted to cry really.hats off to danny green i would like to see a rematch between them.. he didnt hit him flush he hit him in the neck so i would love to see them again..

  • Very sad. Roy was something to behold in his heyday. Hopefully, he sees the writing on the wall now. Excellent video. Five stars.

  • Oh, my God that was the absolute hands down no doubt no contest, undisputed best saturated coverage of Roy Jones I have EVER seen! Never seen his mother, Never seen him leave an arena unedited, it felt like I was there.. I wanted to just reach into the screen and shake his hand!
