I was in a store a year or so back, and was denied access to the women's fitting room. I had a line of people behind me and was directed to men's side. It made me pissed off, and I cried when I got home. A man behind me in the line said the woman watching the dressing rooms: "I knew he was a guy!" But I wasn't strong enough then, I let them beat me, I know that I would do things differently now, but sometimes that is how lessons are learned. I've grown and learned so much in the last year! :)

Transgender means before surgery correct? I mean I would not have let her in their either. That means that person still has a penis. I don't blame her for not allowing the transwoman to use the dressing room. What if it was a man dressing up as a woman in order to have access to the female dressing room. Biologically speaking, a transwoman is really a man and not a woman. Instead of firing her, they should've educated her. I totally agree with you about everything - BUT I think there's something really problematic about arguing using the medical diagnosis explanation of trans-ness as a main argument. It's just as ok to be trans if you *don't* have a flipped corpus callosum. It might be true that it's very common for transwomen, but it's not universal. & if we argue that it's ok *because* it's got scientific origins then we exclude people for whom that's not true. It's ok to be trans because it's ok - end of story.

@ShayCS no that is a wonderful question and NO IT IS NOT....the biological difference in gay men and straight men is in the hippothalamus which control sex drive and function.... google: hypothalamus and homosexuality.....plenty of info on that as well.. SO the difference in gay men and transsexuals is that we have a different corpus callosum which control how we behaviorial function to a certain extent ..and they have difference is in the hypothalamus . go check it out

I was in a store a year or so back, and was denied access to the women's fitting room. I had a line of people behind me and was directed to men's side. It made me pissed off, and I cried when I got home. A man behind me in the line said the woman watching the dressing rooms: "I knew he was a guy!" But I wasn't strong enough then, I let them beat me, I know that I would do things differently now, but sometimes that is how lessons are learned. I've grown and learned so much in the last year! :)

Transgender means before surgery correct? I mean I would not have let her in their either. That means that person still has a penis. Biologically speaking, a transwoman is really a man and not a woman. Instead of firing her, they should've educated her. I totally agree with you about everything - BUT I think there's something really problematic about arguing using the medical diagnosis explanation of trans-ness as a main argument. It's just as ok to be trans if you *don't* have a flipped corpus callosum. It might be true that it's very common for transwomen, but it's not universal. & if we argue that it's ok *because* it's got scientific origins then we exclude people for whom that's not true. It's ok to be trans because it's ok - end of story.

@nochokin Part 1 A man my do so because he takes pleasure in seeing naked women. In dressing rooms as well as bathroom stalls they do have the slit in them where you can catch a glace through each room as you walk pass. A man my also do so for financial gain. You do know that they have cameras that can be attached to your shoe laces which would make it easy to watch the person in the next stall. You can either keep that for your collection or sale & blur out the face of the women.
