For my 16th birthday I got a Leatherman and a few giftcards. I saved for a year to be able to afford my first car which I still drive daily. I've had to work and save for almost everything I've ever gotten in my life, and I'm glad my parents don't give me everything for nothing. I'd much rather know how to earn something instead of get everything handed to me on a silver platter.
