  • Who is playing the accordion?

  • most newfoundlanders came from island back in the day my buddy, were not all that different when it comes to music, or drinkin, lol

  • Is this an Irish song? My Scottish grandmother used to sing it with us, and get a little tearful at the end, as she was a widow by then. I hadn't thought of it as Irish, but every version on youtube (not many) seem to have an Irish accordion and accent.

  • @carozealand Do a little research on Newfoundland heritage. You'll be pleasantly surprised!

  • Harry Hibbs, the best accordion player of all times and will take along time before anyone can replace him.
