Dog Herding Tips on Border Collies : Information from a Dog Trainer

Im really interested in getting a border collie and everyone says they need a lot of exercise mentally and physically, like you said, but no one says how much. if i work from 9 to 5 then get home and work with the dog for 2 hours, is that enough?

@playschools : Got one and she's an active one. I would recommend waking up at 5am and jog with them till they are mildly tired and then feed them. believe me, they are the one walking me. Before work, I would ask someone to keep a watch on her if she's bored after playing with her treat ball for 2 hours. When you are back, time for exercise #2 and then dinner.
