  • I know the guitarist i see her walkin her dog on a morning :)

  • Great song from1981, very sad end for Susan she'll not be forgotten

  • This brings back back so many good memories and I can't seem to get this track out of my head, biggest crush ever! Deeply saddened to read about Susan leaving I swear there is a star in heaven with her name on it. Jules

  • Excellent, first time I've seen this particular clip. Pity they had to fade it out towards the end, though

  • It's such a fun, evocative song. I like the music as much as the singing - such a masterpiece.

  • After first listening to this on the Ken Bruce show on BBC Radio 2 and now finding it on Spotify, I can't stop listening to it. A timeless clasic.

  • excellent...keep playing again and again..an absolute one off!

  • Fantastic footage of one of my all time favorite songs.

Still sounds fresh today and is busting for a re release .......where have the years gone!!!???

  • top song

  • @1bazmooster ..Anybody out there interested, live video footage of Susan's 3 singles have been put on YouTube, coutesy of WJMTV. Also, there are some "B" sides, put on coutesy of andrewt63.

  • It's a great song. I cannot stop listen to it.

  • Polymoogtastic!

  • love

  • I was a wild punk rocker when this was out but i loved this so much as well!!!!

It was one of my favourite youth club disco songs!!!!

  • i know Kay who`s playing the guitar she actually wrote this song she havent seen her for a couple o years but she was living in Castleford, West Yorks. She Still had that suit she`s wearing in her wordrobe I had a video of when they were on Cheggers plays pop but cant seem to find it

  • @mcscas68 Who are you?

  • Wright is beneath contempt. The BBC should be abolished simply for using our licence fee to employ buffons like Wright, Evans & that retired fake chummy one with the wig whose popularity proves there is something deeply wrong with the populace of these islands.

  • Susan Fassbender was a local heroine as she was from Leeds, near my home town of Wakefield.

  • absolutely love this song. so catchy. can't believe it didn't reach the top 10 in the charts

  • Swanley.

Be sure of your shit before you comment.

  • A tragic loss, they don't make talented ladies like this anymore.

  • walk down the high street, under the neon lights,

and pretty soon i'll find my way, to the twighlight cafe. Class

  • You left us an absolute gem Susan which sounds just as great today as ever. Thanks

  • I heard this on R2 today for the first time in years. This is such a good song, I thought so at the time. I can't imagine why I didn't buy it. It's difficult to understand how someone as talented as Susan Fassbender could take her own life. But we all know life itself can throw some devastating blows at us, unseen by others. RIP and thankyou Susan F.

  • sad to hear about susan her memories will live on

  • Fassbender retired from the music industry to marry and raise three daughters. She commited suicide in 1992, aged 32, by hanging herself.

  • dont worry kabogga...what steve wright knew about music could be written on the back of a stamp..good happy song

  • Could have been Bill Gate's girlfriend at that time but the song is good.

  • Shame she died so young. Loved the song and the bass

  • I saw this recently on a repeat of TOPT2.

The voice over was tha DJ twat Steve Wright, he commented that she looked like a doctor's receptionist. I wish I could slap that prat for such a dumb comment.

Susan was a unique person who stood out in a bland musical world. R.I.P. ;-)

  • Yep. It is unfortunate that Steve Wright doesn't even begin to comprehend what an incredible idiot he is.

  • RIP Susan. Every time I walk down a high street or look at a neon light I think of your sparkly blazer.

  • It was in 1981 not in 83 and I found out this singer passed away in 91.

  • Not exactly a "flick chick" but the songs brilliant.

  • Great song from 1983! Great memories! Thx!

  • Ha Ha, Steve! Ur logon name reminds me that there was an urban legend at the time about "Susan Fassbender" being a spooner for "Fasten Suspender", mind you from this vid it doesnt look like Susan would have been interested in boys...lol!!!!

  • Remember the curls,

    of the Deutscher girls,

    lover of mine,

    from down by the Rhine.

Think we'd have all loved to have bent Susan's ass !!!

  • Ha Ha, Steve! Ur logon name reminds me that there was an urban legend at the time about "Susan Fassbender" being a spooner for "Fasten Suspender", mind you from this vid it doesnt look like Susan would have been interested in boys...lol!!!!
