DOOM 3, the beginning of a new gen that ends all we know about PC gaming. Such a huge leap in engine tech, so little Mods, so hard/long to make. id Tech 4 still holds up to todays games and in just a few months id Tech 5 will be coming out with RAGE. Cannot wait to see id Studio and the community support for id Tech 5, just type in id studio in the console and theres all the tools id Software uses to make the game, CANT WAIT!

I have now 2 Graphic Cards of 6800GT Nvidia GeForce with 256MB , SLi-PCi and the graphics are great!The one of them,which I think it's one of the BEST Graphics Card that ever existed!And only because the overclock it has(company of Samsung) it can be multiply by 2x or even 3x.The other one is an XFX with all the same and Anti-Aliasing 8x!The Graphics in Crysis are on the higher except the sader. But still...rocks!

Also my Comp got 4GB on 866 MHZ, Extreme Striker motherboard,Intel Core 2 Duo..:D

Its the other way round, PS3 has a dedicated hardware which provides consistent performance but that has nothing to do with graphics, PS3 uses a GPU which is similar to the GeForce 7800GT/GTX in terms of architecture and raw power, its graphical abilities do not even come close to the modern GPUs of today, not to mention that ALL consoles, do not support AA/AF.

Dude a 9800GT has more processing power with its unified shader architecture than the PS3 and 360 Combined. The 9800GT cost around $100 bucks. I have 2X Gigabyte GTX 275 OC in SLI.

So I got a 6800gt for my aging PC (1.5gb DDR (PC 3200) ram, AMD 64 3500+ and 6800gt no overclock) while I'm in the process of building a new one, I can run Doom 3 on Ultra settings with 4x antiliasing and Vsync on at 1280x1024 (can't go any higher, 17'' monitor) and the game looks and run incredible, I reach almost 60fps and it NEVER goes any lower than 50fps even on busy areas, it's amazing, I thought the 6 series cards weren't able to handle Ultra Quality, it looks amazing.

Doom3 is very psychologically straining. FEAR tries to be spooky with cinematics every now and then

I believe that the early parts of the game were extremely good, then the lead-up to Hell (not actual hell though), and so far the lead up to the endgame with the Cyberdemon. But the other parts? A chore. Walking around corridors, commando attacks, imp attacks, revenant screams blablabla. It gets extremely boring, but there are moments of pure epic win.
