I laughed when I saw those female "warriors". They took away some of the epicness of this battle.

@ZM7241994 How so? With the proper training a woman can be every bit as strong as a man. Having to deal with the criminally insane on a daily basis, I'm quite capable of taking down a much larger opponent. A large number of female knights existed during the medieval period and they were not only powerful, but also quite valued. In Dragon Age the females are every bit as strong as the males, so it hardly takes away 'the epicness' save for perhaps your personal issues. Male insecurity issues much?

@OmegaSamaRed Don't get me wrong. I'm sure there are some women who are stronger then men but on average males are stonger then females and that's why I oppose women in the armed forces. Even if a woman got training and was up against an untrained man my money would still be on the guy. Men are naturally stronger then women and human anatomy is clear on this. I believe a woman's place is in the home for that is where she is better suited in my opinion.

@ZM7241994 Actually on average women are generally as strong as a male. It's scientifically proven that in combat women are every bit effective as males, especially since adrenaline gives females an even bigger boost. Men are slow, easily put out of balance and certain body-parts are not trainable, such as joints (weaker in males). It's incredibly easy for ANY woman to take down a male just as long as she knows what she's doing. Again, I suggest you seek help with your gender insecurity issues.

@ZM7241994 Also, the only thing scientifically proven is that males have better developed muscles and larger brains (of which they use a significantly smaller amount than a female, not to mention the part of the brain which makes up for social skills is highly underdeveloped). Just like in many animal species, women have developed differently and therefor have different abilities to defend themselves. I've seen several cases in which a non-trained woman beat a man to death with her bare hands.

The dudes wearing that dark grey heavy chainmail, i'm assuming they're grey wardens, what armor are they wearing? And can it be found in game?

I doubt they're Grey Wardens given the number of them.

The armor they're wearing is a darker (grey iron probably) version of the Armor of Diligence set you can collect. The helmets are just heavy soldier helms.

Maybe you can get Heavy Chainmail in grey iron quality, it's close enough, but it's not really that good.

It was an asshole move for loghaim to abandon them BUT the wardens were too late lighting the beacon and so the darkspawn had already overwhelmed King Cailan. Even if he were to help them it would be a waste of soldiers because the darkspawn outnumbered them 10 to 1. Even King Cailan knew there was going to be no victory at Ostagar.

@masterchief2702 The king seemed fairly confident of victory, but I don't see Loghain as being as evil as the Wardens see him. He's ruthless, to be sure, but doesn't seem to have any particular selfish ambition or plans for domination for its own sake that generally characterise villains.

aye, that be true, but i have reason to suspect Loghain of letting the darkspawn into the tower of Ishal in the first place. If you go to the tower before the joining you will be informed by the guard that you're not allowed in because Loghain's men are 'searching' the lower chambers, then darkspawn conveniently happen to appear in the tower, it doesn't take a genius to put 2 and 2 together.

Cailin had it all planned and didnt even think that he would lose this Battle or that anybod would betray him.

the king could have better placed more archers around the field then piled up at one spot at the beginning if the i was the king i would have the archers at the back so they can launch more volleys of arrows

I would have had the mabari's flank while archers shoot from the fortress, from the back, and from the sides. Have a reserve troop to ambush the back lines of the darkspawn, and have wooden barricades set up to slow their advance and allow more volleys of arrows before the darkspawn even got close. BOOM! Done. Except the archdemon. If Duncan can barely kill an ogre, the archdemon would buttrape him.

Don't forget that he was already very tired because of the fact that loghain didn't backup cailin's army when he should. He was fighting for almost 2 hours without a small break and yet he could kill an ogre , not bad...

Quality could have been a lot higher, but the file would have been massive!

Im just saying, more volleys would've been more effective. Especially since the hounds were out there 2. Its just strategy, even if the King's forces were halved.
