been there done that. that is one of the scariest fires you can have. you really cant even protect the exposures or find the root because of voids and stuff. ive spent all night and my relief spent 1/2 the next day bringing one of them under control. all that was left were wall studs and floor trusts.fires like that seperate the men from the boys wait till you get one where the slate shingles fall because the brass nails melt. i feel for you fellas
