What the fuck is the problem with people hating clunky/tank controls?. It's what makes the game particularily difficult. If you managed to beat it on normal or whatever difficulty like that and under 4 hours with no saves and using only herbs, then you can all it a true challenge.

They made RE4 and RE5 which had none of it and sucked dick. Just another american TPS...

@lambovsatan225 truth be told resident evil 1 was the scariest game i have ever seen ( the game made me piss on my floor i was like 5 when it came out) till this day i will not play that game by myself it was pure horror. but once 4 came out the horror disappeared and i played resident evil 5 from beginning to end no scares i love the resident evil series even though im scared of 1-3. in the next one if no GOOD horror is in it then i'm afraid that it might go down hill

Resident Evil 3 - Great, but more of a side story, really.

Resident Evil Code: Veronica - Superb, a true sequel not a spin-off.

Resident Evil 4 - Great, but could of been a spin-off.

Resident Evil 5 - Don't get me started with that so-called resident evil bullshit...

@ryanm100100 code veronica x is an upgraded version of code veronica with more scenes. the gameplay of re4 was great and the story was alright but it could of been a spin-off. i was disappointed because i've waited for 5 years for capcom to make a game with the characters finishing off umbrella, i loved re4 dont get me wrong it isnt my favorite in the series but the story could of been as twisted/dark as it was before in the previous titles.

I like what they did. They gave the original RE4 the name called Devil May Cry(one of my favorites). Basically they did this saying: Don't get rid the old idea. Give it a different name and characters. Wise move, Capcom! Wise move!

I appreciate Resident Evil for defining the Horror genre in games, Silent Hill, Amnesia, Penumbra, Dead Space, etc. Resident Evil may not be my fancy, but I love it for the other things it caused. Changing the name to Devil may cry had to be the smartest damn move they made. If they released that as a resident evil game, i would have been pissed. But i loved DMC. I didn't play Resident Evil games for cool characters etc, but for the horror. I would have perceived this as a cheap cash in on a big name title, not a clever action game.

Resident ecil 4 was awesome, however horror was not very present... then RE5 was also good, but destorying wesker at the end is not a good idea + it did not have any horror, making it a crap survivor horror because it was all repetitive action. look at Dead space for exmaple (i know its a different game from different companies lol) but gameplay is the same style, the camera etc. but it's totally scary, you'll shit in ur pants. that's how they shoudl have done RE5... hope they do it in 6.
